Virginia, Fairfax County, Education, and Trailers

Virginia is an interesting educational and political study in how to destroy a formerly well-off state with tolerance and multi-culturalism dictated by politicians from Richmond and Washington, D.C. It is a microcosm of the civilization suicide that is taking place in Europe.

Virginia is not very far behind the Seattle School District that sent a letter recently to teachers asking them to bless Muslim students in Arabic during Ramadan. Virginia obsesses over accommodating those who will not give an inch in their quest to be a specially protected class.

According to the Guardian, “more than 22,000 students in Fairfax county [the third richest county in America] receive their education in cheaply constructed plywood trailers, often with visible signs of green mold, like those parked next to the baseball fields next to McClean High School.”

McClean is a rich area in NOVA where the average homes cost over a million dollars. The property tax base to help fund public schools is thus very large.

Quoting school board member Ryan McElveen, the Guardian wrote, “Our staff often likes to say that Fairfax Public schools is the largest trailer dealer on the east coast. We own 820 trailers, more than any other entity on the entire east coast.”

Gov. Ralph Northam proposed to increase the education budget by approximately $270 million. Teachers objected to Northam’s proposed $750 million expenditure to lure Amazon to build its second HQ in Virginia, while classrooms were overcrowded, necessitating the use of trailers.

Why is there such an overcrowding in northern Virginia’s schools?  It is certainly not because Americans are having more babies, far from it, it is because illegal aliens have so many anchor babies that we are educating for free.

Educators are the first to push the liberal agenda of flooding the country with illegals whose children must be educated in their own native language, often dialects that require financial investing in specialized translators, teachers, textbooks, classes, and special tutoring, at the expense of American children who must learn in trailers and make do with less.

These new illegal arrivals must be also be fed at taxpayers’ expense and illegal families must be sheltered in welfare housing and provided with everything they may need to survive, including free and expensive healthcare.

Some teachers believe that giving tax breaks to Amazon is wrong when they could teach so many more illegal aliens’ children instead and house their families at the expense of the Virginian taxpayers.

Local and very vocal liberals in Fairfax county, who push for more school funding, argue that “building new schools could actually create more jobs than bringing in Amazon.” More schools mean more teachers and a lower teacher-to-student ratio argues Lee Carter, a Democrat Socialist state delegate from Manassas.

Northern Virginia (NOVA) with its progressive and corrupt political atmosphere is the reason why the entire state of Virginia is turning socialist. Republicans barely control the House of Delegates by only one delegate and the Senate by two Senators.

The NOVA population is composed mostly of federal government workers from Washington, D.C. and an ever-growing and very large contingent of illegal and legal aliens who vote Democrat as a block because they want to turn Virginia into the socialist paradise they’ve fled from.

Fairfax County Public School has adopted highly controversial curricula on sex education, sidestepping the important role of parents to teach their own children about human sexuality.  FCPS agenda was transgenderism and co-ed bathrooms.

The state education budget and local property taxes fund the public schools but is the money being used judiciously?

FCPS, with its budget of $3 billion annually, focuses more on globalism, with graduates who have “…attributes of Communicator, Collaborator, Ethical and Global Citizen, Creative and Critical Thinker, and Goal-Directed and Resilient Individual.”

Cultural Marxism and Euphemisms

Cultural Marxist academics, their sycophant students, and the main stream media are at war with America – a war of violent Marxist ideology and a war of cleverly chosen words and euphemisms that appear time and time again in many college courses, high school classes, in propaganda literature, newspapers, conferences, and in the manufactured news. Cultural Marxists are regular guests on all the alphabet soup networks masquerading as real news, spewing their hatred, their disdain and disrespect for our President, and their calls to renewed violence in the streets through their masked Black Shirts.

As David Horrowitz said, “Worse yet, this is the dominant culture in our universities, in our media, in our judiciary, in government, in unions, and in the shadow political universe of non-profits, with billions of tax-free dollars at their disposal.”

Language is a powerful tool of discourse, mass political indoctrination and agitation. Marxist Democrats are quite adept at using inflammatory language and deceptive euphemisms to suit their nefarious political ends.

In any kind of ideological and political war, the first victim is truth, replaced with lies, dressed cleverly by rhetoric, obfuscation, and intentional debasement of language.

George Orwell wrote an essay in 1946, “Politics and the English Language,” focusing on language which “is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.” Such language, often vague and meaningless, concealed the oppressive ideology.

Taking private property from farmers and other owners is thus called “transfer of population” or “rectification of frontiers.” The process of sending people to gulags to die becomes “elimination of unreliable elements.” “Pacification” attempted to defend the indefensible acts of bombing and driving out locals from their ancestral lands and giving the land to a population protected by the intentions of the elites.

Orwell pointed out that “the great enemy of clear language is insincerity.” The less sincere the speaker or writer is, particularly politicians and journalists, the more they “disguise their intentions behind euphemisms and convoluted phrasing.”

Academic writing is resplendent with “pretentious diction” and “meaningless words.” According to Orwell, “In certain kinds of writing, particularly in art criticism and literary criticism, it is normal to come across long passages which are almost completely lacking in meaning.”

Concurrent with “Politics and the English Language,” Orwell published “The Prevention of Literature.” The two essays reflect his alarm over the victimization of truth in the distorted use of language. Orwell pointed out the “deliberate use of misleading double-talk language among those he identified as pro-Soviet.” He predicted the type of literature under a future totalitarian society – “formulaic and low grade sensationalism.”

Analyzing some of the euphemisms conceived by today’s progressives, and I only scratched the surface, we realize that Orwell’s words from sixty years ago are still true.

“Undocumented worker” is an obvious mischaracterization of illegal aliens who are invading our country with the approval of corporatist elites in both Democrat and Republican parties. These individuals do have documents from their countries of origin and have broken the law by crossing our borders illegally. Not only are they not repatriated, they are given equal rights with Americans so that corrupt politicians can stay in power in Democrat states like California. These people become illegal voters even though they do not speak the language, do not understand our laws, our Constitution, and do not care that they are helping transform our country into the hell hole they’ve fled. So long as they get undeserved welfare and Social Security benefits, they will vote Democrat in perpetuity.

“Our core values” is Democrat double-speak for demographic and cultural suicide. We allow every unvetted flotsam and jetsam from around the world into our country, disregarding the interests of the American public, their safety, health, and well-being under the guise of “that is not who we are as a nation.” The Democrat Party and the leftist agenda are now making the decision of who we are as a nation and as people, without bothering to consult the rest of America.

If we want to uphold law and order, our borders, language, and culture, we are “bigoted.” The meaning of “bigoted” has been stretched and bastardized to now mean pretty much anything the left wants it to mean. Yet it seems that leftists are truly intolerant toward those holding different opinions. They often turn their intolerance into violence, silencing the opposition and their right to free speech especially in the bastions of liberal academia around the country.

Additionally, if you disagree with any goals of the leftist agenda, you are “racist.” The real meaning of “racism” as described in the Merriam-Webster dictionary, “a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities, and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race,” has been lost in the leftist double-talk.

If you want legal immigration and national borders, safe from criminals, gangs, disease, and jihadi intrusions, you are a “xenophobe.” All foreign-born individuals who are now proud American citizens and prefer that immigrants follow the rule of law just like they did, are accused of xenophobia, “undue fear of what is foreign and especially of people of foreign origin.”

If you condemn militant jihad, hijra, and Islamic violence, you are an “Islamophobe.” That word silences the opposition so that the liberal goal of unrestricted Islamic invasion continues.

Liberals call themselves “progressives” even though their goals have nothing to do with progress but with regression to a totalitarian and oppressive communist society which has failed everywhere it has been tried. Liberals are repackaging the Bolshevik effort t by saying that communism was not implemented the right way.

“Liberalism” does not really represent the meaning of the Latin word, “liber” (free). Liberalism is disguised incremental socialism that will eventually lead to global communism.  “The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But under the name of “liberalism” they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

People accept the word “global citizen” without ever asking themselves what it entails. A “global citizen” is an individual who lives in a country that is no longer a state; it has no borders, no sovereignty, no national identity, no passport, and no national history.  Yet most schools and colleges advertise that their students have been brainwashed and prepared for global citizenship.

On campuses around the country, “snowflakes” are cowering and hiding in their “safe spaces” in fear of reality that contradicts what they’ve been told and taught since they were born and led across a stage and given participation trophies.

The word “inhumane” (without compassion for misery or suffering; cruel) has been trivialized to excuse any breaking of the law without punishment and repercussions. In the mentally disordered liberal brain, suffering the consequences of bad choices, decisions, and subsequent criminality has become cruel and “inhumane.”

The word “diversity” is no longer used as being diverse and different; it is now a liberal code word for perversity which must be acknowledged by the other side, encoded into law, and enforced by the courts.

Homosexuality hides behind the word “gay” which previously meant “happy.” Different types of deviance are disguised behind the words “cross-dressers.” “Gender fluidity” can be interpreted as any sexual anomaly and psychological confusion – anything flows.

“Multiculturalism” is the code word for Cultural Marxism agenda and the transformation of your country into a tower of Babel of illegal immigrants who have no intention of assimilating or accepting the invaded culture, its laws, its history, and its language. It is considered “inhumane” to force such illegal aliens to assimilate and contribute to society in a meaningful way.

Liberals force their ideas, plans, and global agenda on the rest of us in the name of “civil society.” This represents the globalist elites backed by power, influence, and money to socially engineer our lives any way they wish because they know best what is good for billions of people around the globe and the faux science backing them “has been settled.”

The laws and cries of “equal opportunity” coming from various special interest groups are not really asking for “equality,” they are asking for preferential treatment. And “social justice” is not asking for justice, it is asking for government sanctioned stealing, taking private property and money from those who worked for it and earned it, and giving it to those who did not earn it and are not entitled to it.

Social Security is not an “entitlement,” it is money that people have earned and contributed into a fund for decades in order to provide them with income in retirement.  It is theft when Social Security money is given to illegal aliens as soon as they set foot on our soil.

Liberals created special and protected categories for some races and ethnic groups such as calling Hispanic women “Latinas.”  To my knowledge, Latium was a region in the former Roman Empire, thus those people could be called Latinas and Latini. Black people are now “African Americans” even though most of them have never set foot in Africa nor were they born there. Caucasians don’t call themselves European Americans. There are Africans who are American citizens and have every right to call themselves African Americans, including Caucasians from South Africa. These special categories are not necessary; they are divisive and counterproductive, treating the special group as a group that cannot survive without the force of government.

It seems that liberalism is not really freedom; it thrives on divisiveness, separation, and inequality. They use deceptive language, euphemisms, and lies to implement their goals and policies in the name of “democracy” even though we are not a democracy, we are a constitutional republic. But liberals count on their blind followers to be ignorant of history and civics.

Interview Across Cyber Space with Mircea Brenciu Part IV Medicine and Islamic Invasion

On the question of medicine and medical care after decades of communism which ended officially with the Revolution of December 1989, Brenciu explained that Romania now produces doctors on a “conveyor belt.” He admits that a good doctor is not made by textbook theory learned in school, but is born after years of residency training, specializing, and real life experience in the ER of a hospital.

The tragedy starts, he said, when the young resident is thrown in the midst of the hospital drama and realizes that he himself has become a social case, a victim of starvation on his meager income. While a nurse in the European Union, which Romania is a member of, earns about 6,500 lei (1,500 euros) per month, a doctor in Romania earns 1,500 lei per month, approximately four times less.

Under socialism/communism, people walked around the medical professionals with money in envelopes.  Extra cash for expected bribes sped up test results, X-rays, helped jump waiting lines, and gave patients extra much-needed and speedier medical attention, prevented infections, and perhaps insured survivability. Doctors accepted the bribes because their pay was so low. Everyone earned equal pay and experienced the same miserable standard of living, regardless of years of training, effort, and education.

Overcoming the problems associated with decades of totalitarian socialism/communism has not been easy. Accepting bribes and corruption across the board are still the norm. Even though medical care is socialized and free, people still pay doctors, nurses, and other medical personnel in order to expedite their tests, care, and treatment. There are private clinics but fees are potentially higher than the bribes.

Under such low current pay and demoralizing conditions, it is no surprise that a chronic crisis of medical personnel overwhelms the recovery system and the establishment of well-organized and timely health care. And the government in Bucharest does not seem to make much difference since the “command buttons are in Brussels.” The Romanians’ plans for the future do not seem to coincide with the plans of the technocrats from Brussels, added Brenciu.

Dr. Arafat, a naturalized Romanian, organized what most considered an exceptional service that was highly necessary in the medical chaos – SMURD, an acronym for the Emergency Medical Services in Romania. This service is a model of organization, efficiency, and necessity.

On the question of the Muslim invasion of Europe, Brenciu admitted that the Old Continent is finding itself again in the unenvied position of battlefield for the clash of civilizations. “Angela Merkel was not afraid to receive in the beautiful, liberal, and multicultural Germany one million Islamists, of which at least 5% could be terrorists with proper papers.”

Brenciu added that the political scientist Samuel P. Huntington brought attention to this inevitable phenomenon for the European society. The clash of civilization is a post-Cold War era hypothesis that supports the idea that people’s cultural and religious identities will be a major source of conflict. Huntington proposed this idea in a 1992 lecture at the American Enterprise Institute. Huntington later expanded his thesis in a 1996 book The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order.

Setting aside the humanitarian aspect of this invasion and petitions for political and economic asylum, Brenciu believes that “accepting to be invaded in good conscience by cohorts of people with foreign traditions, culture, schooling, and especially religion, by hundreds of thousands of individuals terrorized by war, poverty, and the devastating and merciless Islamism, seems to be a form of madness bordering on treason.”

In his opinion, Angela Merkel, with her exaggerated and programmed tolerance for the refugees of Islam, will compromise the European Union, which will fold in the face of huge pressure of the member states, forced to accept unwillingly thousands and thousands of hungry, lawless, and savage refugees. Additionally, Germany will be gripped by national despair.

What will Merkel do to “attenuate the fantastic pressure of this human ballast which materialized suddenly and without logic?” She will probably “force the small states of Central and Eastern Europe, EU members, to receive a large portion of these unfortunate “impoverished” who paid heavy fees [where did they get so much money, he wonders] to cross many borders and thousands of kilometers to come to the Promised Land, Germany.”

Romania was asked initially to accept two thousand immigrants but President Johannis negotiated later to accept forty-five hundred. Following the visit of the “technocrat premier Ciolos in Germany in January 2016, we must now think of a number of refugees much, much larger, a number that will likely be either secret or falsified publicly.”

What shocks Brenciu is that, despite the sacrifices Romanians have made across the centuries to preserve the “Christian spirit, they are now infected quietly by Islam in unknown proportions by the very European institutions which should have defended Christianity and the doctrine of a free and democratic Europe.”

Brenciu did not speak in a discriminatory vein; he referred to the Islamic world that must respect its geographic boundaries and the boundaries, cultures, lands, human rights, and religions of other peoples.

Cleaning the Trash and Destruction Left Behind

As I look at photos posted by witnesses at the Italian/Austrian border, Serbian/Hungarian border, and various train stations around Europe, I am wondering who is going to clean the mountains of trash left behind for miles and miles, as far as the eye can see, by the “refugees” from the Middle East.

“Why has everyone, from everywhere and all at once, decided to start heading towards Europe, five years into the Syrian civil war? This must be a manufactured mass migration.”

It is not what the refugees used on their journey, but what they left behind  unused – discarded Red Cross packaged water, crates of peaches, untouched packaged food, unopened baby diapers, brand new strollers, car seats, toys, and other necessities for someone traveling with a baby. Since these items were left behind, it is obvious that there were no babies among them.

Videos are coming in from various regions showing Muslim men fighting, throwing rocks and chairs at each other, breaking windows, throwing feces, blooding each other’s noses in vicious fights, Shia fighting the Sunnis, the same centuries old senseless religious tribal animosity and hatred.

Refugees have taken over Greek Islands, turning them into a gang-like war zone. Greeks are afraid, hiding in their homes, unable to go to work, or to take their children to school. There is no respect for private property and there is no civilized propriety. They are burning cars and flags, throwing feces at passing cars and at people unfortunate enough to be in the way.

A witness at the Italian Austrian border, a Polish travel blog writer, describes circumstances of horror. “This huge mass of people, but these are absolute savages … Vulgar, throwing bottles, shouting loudly, ‘We want Germany.’… But is Germany a paradise now?”

“I saw how they surrounded a car of an elderly Italian woman, pulled her by her hair out of the car and wanted to drive away in the car. They tried to overturn the bus in which I traveled myself with a group of others. They were throwing feces at us, banging on the doors to force the driver to open them, spat at the windshield. How is this savagery to assimilate in Germany? The bus is now damaged, covered with feces, scratched, with broken windows.” His group had to travel with Italian police escort from then on. He described the entire area as a war zone.

Should we not be compassionate to our fellow Muslims who, by no fault of their own, are invading Europe, fleeing a civil war in Syria? Since they are mostly young men 20-30 years old, would it not make sense that they stayed with their families and fought for their country, protecting their wives, children, and the elderly? Why trek 4,000 km to another continent whose culture they hate and despise, instead of going to the nearby rich Arab and Muslim countries that could have given them familiar shelter and religious accommodations?

Saudi Arabia promised Germany that they would build a mosque for every 100 refugees they take in. Why? Are they trying to colonize Europe with Islam? Why not take these refugees into Saudi Arabia?

As the blogger said, even though he felt subconscious compassion, he was glad the refugees did not choose Poland as their destination. “Poles are not prepared to accept these people culturally or financially.”

Why would refugees seek Germany and Sweden? The Poland MEP, Janusz Korwin-Mikke, of the conservative-liberal party, shed some light during his recent speech at the EU.

“Poland does not have a problem with immigrants. Poland has a problem with immigrants, who under the absurd Dublin regime (the Dublin Regulation), are being forced to stay at concentration camps although they want to escape from Poland to Germany, Austria, and other EU countries. Why? Because Poland has significantly lower social benefits. If we were to abolish social benefits, there wouldn’t be any people coming to Poland and Europe just to live off of handouts. People willing to work are valuable, but they are being sent back to their countries and we take in those unwilling to work. This is a ridiculous policy that results in Europe being flooded with human garbage. Let’s state this clearly: human garbage that does not want to work. America built its power because it took in immigrants willing to work and it does not give any handouts. The Polish MEP is wrong that America is not taking in immigrants that are unwilling to work. We have our share of them on welfare rolls as soon as they get here. There are legal immigrants who are still waiting for the resolution of their cases but southern border illegal jumpers get red carpet treatment at the welfare trough. Social Security offices are jam-packed with illegals, who do not speak English and have no intention of assimilating into our culture.

Angela Tocila, another European blogger, made some interesting points in her September 9, 2015 post. I translate ad litteram or paraphrase parts of her eloquent essay. We all learned to share as kids and to be compassionate. We remember the UNICEF ads begging for a few dollars to feed the starving children of Africa yet they are still dying of hunger.

Most people volunteer because they are Christians and want to help their fellow humans. Liberals volunteer because they are enamored with primitive cultures they view as superior and exploited by evil white men.  But Angela Tocila sees the new wave of European volunteerism to take in Syrian refugees as a new wave of “flower power.”

These “flower power” liberals are “pointing fingers and accusing that we are not in solidarity with the downtrodden on a blind quest with a fixed destination, Germany or nothing. Germany or I am going to throw my wife and child on the train tracks, Germany or death. The “flower power” ilk forces me to respond if I want to take in a family of refugees in my own home, in the name of human solidarity; they are trying to blackmail me into a sentimental guilt trip that I am not sensitive to, and I answer NO.”

She would not take in refugees because she does not have any duty or responsibility towards them. “That does not mean that I am insensitive to the drama of many, to the images of drowned kids whose dads survived miraculously while trying to save their kids. I am not insensitive to the male invasion who uses their women and children as shields, place them on train tracks or throw them through a fence.”  I loathe people who do not bathe, who demand that I cover my arms and legs in their presence, for fear that I might offend their religious obsessions, who would treat me in my own home as half a human being or less. I don’t want to feel obligated to find a shepherd to buy a sheep because I eat pork, beef, beans with smoked pork, or stuffed cabbage with pork.” If you stay in my house, you must eat what I eat. I don’t want to enter into a conflict with a male who treats his wife like a rag, while trying to explain to him that she is just as much of a human being as he is. I am agnostic and I would not want to create a prayer space in my own home and to respect a religious ritual foreign to me and to my culture. I would not want to become the victim of the conflict between the Shia family in my home and the Sunni family in my neighbor’s home. The liberal do-gooders have moved from adopting starving African children to oppressed Afghani women and girls, to stopping the Darfur genocide caused by Muslims, to now adopting a refugee family from Syria. And the world’s problems seem to get worse while liberals are mum about the slaughter of Christians and Yezidis by ISIS.

Germany and the EU are receiving a massive onslaught of militant multi-culturalism which they are ill-prepared to handle. Decades of European multi-culturalism has already been a substantial failure.

 

 

A Cancer across the Earth Called Globalism

I just returned from a two-week trip to Romania and, I am sad to say, what many have warned us about years ago, has come to pass even in Romania, the country that had suffered so much under four decades of communist dictatorship. They managed to replace one evil master, the communists, with another, the globalists/corporatists/statists. 

At one of the empty truck stops and restaurants where we stopped for a soda, a southern Romanian was telling us how afraid people are of their children’s uncertain future, of their finances, and of the dwindling opportunities for success that seem to vanish more each day.

No sooner had Romanians freed themselves from communism in 1989 that the European Union has stepped in with their Fabian Socialism, bringing in lots of indoctrination and other demand strings attached to their financial help for the newly minted and impoverished EU state in dire financial need, Romania.

Dr. Savage warned us about liberalism as a mental disorder. European progressive liberals on steroids, with their failed multiculturalism, have influenced Romanian economics and politics so much that they are now well underway to global governance, an insidious and noxious control by a few elites poised to own the globe.

Romania now has the green party, environmentalism gone-amuck, school indoctrination into the cult of Gaia, destruction of national identity, revisionist history, Muslim and multicultural immigration, ignoring anything that identifies and ties Romanians to their culture and language, strange music, depraved and debauched fashion and behavior, drugs, replacement of perfectly good Romanian words with English neologisms, brainwashing of the population by the church into blind submission to the statists, corruption at all levels, bribery of 5-15 euro for each vote, socialized medical care on a dwindling budget, and disappearance of the middle class which had emerged successfully after the supposed fall of the communists in 1989.

A few conservatives, like ignored Cassandras, have lectured listeners who cared to pay attention about the out-of-control immigration and all the hallmarks of the new world order that is taking over like a metastasized cancer every facet of our lives in the U.S. and across the globe.

Unemployment is high, inflation is escalating, jobs are not created, politicians make empty and dishonest promises to the voters, contracts and companies are moving overseas, young people seek jobs elsewhere in the European Union, no big time corrupt politicians are going to jail, and there is a feeling of hopelessness for the future of their children.

I was saddened to see in Romania the same elements of global control, despair, and welfare dependency we see in the U.S. today. The church supports statism and the hoax of global warming packaged as the climate change industry worth trillions of dollars. Even the Pope is now a climatologist and anti-gun lobbyist.

But there are some important differences. Romanians are very proud of their beautiful country. The Romanian flag is patriotically flown on every building and on every summit. Everybody speaks fluent Romanian if they want to become citizens. No ballots come in any other language and no translators are necessary or provided by the government for welfare services.

The border is safe and secure and one must have a valid passport to cross it. There is no stoked racism and bigotry every day from the administration in power. Nobody wants to disarm Romanians and certainly not their government. If the population learned anything from an embattled and painful history is that disarmed citizens become hopeless slaves to their government masters in power.

Freedom of speech is safe for now.  There is no liberal-imposed political correctness that stifles and prevents freedom of speech, nor are there academic corners dubbed “free speech zones.” Academics as a group love their country and students still have free exchange of ideas at the university. People who disagree with progressives are not labeled haters and terrorists and their lives are not threatened. The Constitution is safe and does not operate side-by-side with Sharia Law. Immigration is legally permitted within the bounds of “how does it benefit the Romanian people.”

 

"Demographic Suicide" and "Ethnic Replacement"

Europeans have been committing “demographic suicide” for decades because of low birth rates. Most western European nations produce less than the necessary replacement value of 2.1 children per family for many reasons: birth control, abortion, unproductive and unemployed young people who live longer in their parents’ homes, careers, exploring and following immoral and perverted lifestyles, selfish choices, and occupations that do not require a large family to support the farm. The solution has been to import immigrants to fill the demographic and employment needs.

Neagu Djuvara finds fault with the lack of ideals, morality and blatant debauchery among civilized society, especially young people. Europeans and Americans alike lack ambitions, he said, and have stopped having children. The West has thus created a vacuum which third world counties are more than happy to fill.

Immigration with a plentiful birthrate was aided by generous welfare programs in nations like Sweden, Finland, Norway, U.K., France, Belgium, Denmark, and the creation of ghettos where immigrants reject integration, creating sub-cultures that clash with western civilization in every way.

Refusing to learn the language, the immigrants promise the destruction of the very country they occupy. As they receive welfare and free housing, they vow to remake Europe into a new world order Caliphate.

Bruce Bawer aptly named his book, “While Europe Slept,” describing the Muslim takeover of many European countries enabled by appeasement, self-censorship disguised as political correctness, apologies, and bans on “Islamophobia.”

The “guest workers,” “refugees,” “asylum seekers,” or “family reunification” claimants deliberately destroy their papers en route to the country of destination, knowing that they would evade detection if they were terrorists sought by Interpol. They come from very poor, remote villages, and are highly hostile to Western values and history, and are not likely to accept Western cultures.

The “refugees” are illiterate, dishonest, corrupt, fecund, and adept at taking advantage of the generous welfare system: unemployment, public assistance, relief payments, child payments, disability, cash support, and rent allowance.

In Nordic countries, social security is based on the honor system. Do these claimants understand the word “honor” when Islamic law advises them to abuse the infidels’ system, “to cheat and lie to the countries that harbor them?” Furthermore, the monetary benefits are considered “jizya,” a tribute that infidels in Muslim-controlled countries must pay in order to stay alive.

Djuvara thinks that the biggest crime against Western Europe was the opening of the floodgates to unchecked immigration for labor reasons or political correctness encouraged by the liberal philosophy of multiculturalism.

The “asylum seekers” were encouraged to segregate, to alienate themselves by not learning the language of the country that gave them asylum, and to rely on welfare. Djuvara believes that these “barbarian hordes” will transform “civilized and prosperous Christian Europe of today into Euro-Indo-Arabia of tomorrow.”

Niall Ferguson encapsulated very succinctly the fate of Europe, “A youthful Muslim society to the south and east of the Mediterranean is poised to colonize a senescent Europe to the north and west.” A popular t-shirt among young Muslims in Sweden says, “2030 – then we take over.”

France and Germany admitted publicly through former President Nikolas Sarkozy and Chancellor Angela Merkel that multiculturalism has failed miserably in their countries, socially, economically, and politically, and it is not sustainable. “The hostility of young minority men toward authority across communities in Europe” has escalated, the deep-seated antipathy leading to frequent and deadly violence.

According to statistics, our illegal alien problem places tremendous burdens on the economy:

-          400,000 illegal women give birth annually to anchor babies who become automatic U.S. citizens

-          All illegals must be cared for medically and educationally at tremendous cost to society

-          Most illegals are almost immediately placed on all forms of welfare

-          Illegals vote, altering our society fundamentally, without understanding our history and culture

-          Communicable diseases that illegals bring in pose a serious threat to the health and safety of Americans

-          Gang violence and criminality is expressed in the statistics that one in every four inmates in federal prison is an illegal (GAO)

-          50-60 percent of illegal immigrants are high school dropouts (Heritage Foundation)

Americans are “progressing” nicely with forced amnesty policies, i.e. the opening of the floodgates of illegals on the southern border under the guise of a manufactured “humanitarian crisis,” essentially nullifying American sovereignty.

Michael Savage is of the opinion that the regime is conducting a “Malthusian war” against American citizens in the form of “ethnic replacement of the dominant European whites with a more malleable, fertile Latin American population” from failed socialist nations.

Strongly anti-American and pro big government, the young and fecund Central American youth who are now bussed or flown via Mexico illegally all over America (70 percent are males between the ages of 14-17), are going to fill the gap of the declining white and black American fertility rates. In doing so, the character of America will be forever altered and La Raza’s Reconquista will be complete.

The young and fertile mothers with 4-5 children in tow who are pouring in through the southern border will become wards of the federal government welfare system immediately. The communicable diseases which they carry are likely to spread to those who come in contact with them.

Thanks to Planned Parenthood and abortion now easily obtained at no cost through Obamacare, the replacement value of demographics in America is likely to fall below the 2.1 children per family necessary to maintain the current American population.

America will survive demographically, but the predominant white European ancestry will be replaced by a Central American ethnicity with no ties or allegiance to America that was created 238 years ago.

 

 

Why Global Citizenship and Not American Citizenship?

I have asked many students over my 30 teaching years why they attended college. The answers encompassed a wide range:

-          It’s a family tradition and my parents are making me

-          I want to learn more about a particular subject

-          I want a higher-paying job

-          I want to be a doctor, a vet, an engineer, a pilot, an astronaut, an artist

-          I want to do research and find a cure for cancer

-          I have nothing better to do with my time and I like being a student

-          I want to be perennial learner and the tuition is paid by the government

-          I want to make American lives better

-          I want to be the first college graduate in my family

-          I don’t want to work in a blue collar job like my father

-          I want to help my small hometown who needs a doctor or a vet

Not one time did I hear a student say that they are pursuing a college degree for “diversity,” “global citizenship,” and “social justice.” Not one time did any student tell me that they were studying in order to make other nations better, spread the wealth of his/her earnings to the downtrodden of the world, or rearrange America in the image of social justice, code words for communism.

I am not sure I talked to anyone who said, I really want to change this country into a communist society because I was taught by academia that Marx’s teachings would make it better. America has been so rotten for over 250 years and we must fix it.

The electronic board I saw in a large D.C. mall pictured a young man and proclaimed in bold letters, “WORLD READY. Honor. Excellence. Service. Preparation for work, life, and citizenship in the global economy.*” I asked myself, do we live in America or the globe? Shouldn’t this college prepare students for American citizenship in our economy? The asterisk explained that the University of Mary Washington subscribes to the 2012 Association of American Colleges & Universities: Promising Practices for Personal and Social Responsibility.”

As a parent and former teacher, I wanted to know what this AAC&U 2012 platform was, so I started digging. The electronic ad at the mall intrigued me and I could not get it out of my mind.

The platform (the pdf file has 112 pages) which grew from a 2006 AAC&U initiative with a grant from the Templeton Foundation, “Core Commitments: Educating Students for Personal and Social Responsibility,” emphasized “learning skills and dispositions appropriate for living and working in a diverse society, such as their ‘ability to see the world from someone else’s perspective,’ ‘tolerance of others with diverse beliefs,’ and ‘ability to work cooperatively with diverse people.’” The wording for “Core Commitments” in higher education sounded eerily similar to some of the wording in Common Core Standards for elementary and high school education.

The problem with “diverse” and “diversity” is that it is not a civic strength despite liberal promotion of multiculturalism, “multicultural festivals,” and political speeches about multiculturalism that present America as stronger because of diversity. Europeans have already admitted publicly through Angela Merkel and Nicolas Sarkozy that multiculturalism has failed miserably in Europe.

Harvard political scientist Robert Putnam found out by interviewing 30,000 people across America that the more diverse a community, the fewer people vote and volunteer, the less they give to charity, and the less they work on community projects. Putnam’s study, the largest on civic involvement in America, found that almost all measures of civic participation are lower in the more diverse settings. Max Fisher explained that studies also show that diversity tends to correlate with low Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and conflict. The African continent tends to be the most diverse and with lower GDP.

In concert with AAC&U’s Liberal Education and America’s Promise (LEAP) initiative, the Core Commitments require five indispensable “capacities” for college students:

-          Strong work ethic

-          Personal relationships and academic integrity

-          Contributing to a larger community

-          Taking seriously the perspectives of others

-          Developing competence in ethical and moral reasoning and action

The five Core Commitments “capacities” contain elements of indoctrination as well as elements of parental guidance that should have been instilled into their children long before they made it to college.  Taking over the parental role and reshaping their children’s view of the world smacks of indoctrination. What kind of action are our students supposed to take? Do these five “core capacities” and especially the development of “competence in ethical and moral reasoning and action” reflect our American values or are they reflecting the values of a global entity that is pushing global citizenship?

Americans are not responsible for the outcomes and lives of those around the globe. Americans already engage in volunteerism and service, they do not need mandated curricula from an institution of higher learning.

Americans are already one the most tolerant cultures when it comes to racial and ethnic diversity. As research shows, diversity makes our civic societal fabric weaker, not stronger.

Why would colleges then mandate preparation of our American students for global citizenship, should colleges not prepare students for American citizenship?

 

 

 

 

 

 

Do Teachers Know Best?

Teachers have been maligned, derided, put on a pedestal, ignored, followed, awarded, lionized, and sued by parents. Administrators choose their favorite teachers as educators of the year, star teachers, or outstanding faculty, lavishing praise and accolades on those they deem the best team players.

The unprepared teachers or those who cause embarrassment to the school district through their unscrupulous and immoral behavior are usually quietly transferred elsewhere with excellent recommendations unless there is a teacher’s union that prevents dismissal of such specimens of the teaching profession.

Do teachers really know best? Etymologically speaking, they “show, point out, guide, give instruction” to their charges but some of them go beyond their call of duty for better or for worse. Teachers are able to instruct to the extent of their level of education, actual comprehension and knowledge of the subject matter, and their level and type of ideological programming. As a student I’ve had some fantastic professors and some atrocious indoctrinators.

A teacher has the opportunity eight hours a day to mold a child’s mind, the proverbial brain “full of mush,” independently of their parents’ wishes. They have your child’s rapt attention. Young pupils believe their teachers to be the ultimate authority on everything and are never wrong.

People Magazine awarded their 2013 Teacher of the Year to eight teachers who work in challenging environments such as “underfunded schools, students with difficult home lives, and language barriers.” The media and the public in general believe that throwing more money at education will resolve fundamental flaws.

Named “The supportive survivor,” Valencia Robinson from New Smyrna Beach Middle School in Florida is a yoga devotee. “I will not let my students eat junk food in my class.” Aside from the fact that students should not eat in class and eating healthy is a good idea, it is the parents’ role to choose their children’s diet; they have not abdicated that role once their children step into the classroom.

The fact that a teacher is technology-savvy does not make them a better teacher. There is no evidence that using technology in the classroom such as laptops, e-readers, and tablets improves long-term learning, retention, interest, or a child’s ability to remember and understand information previewed on an electronic device. Although lately scorned, there is a lot to be said about traditional reading, memorization of facts, poetry, problem solving, computation, and writing.

Additionally, in spite of the Common Core rhetoric, not all children are able to learn to the same level because they have different IQs, different talents, abilities, interests, and a set of predominant intelligence that is unique to that student (Gardner’s intelligencies, i.e. logical, musical, visual, verbal, bodily-kinesthetic, naturalistic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and existential).

The most interesting choice for People Magazine’s 2013 teachers of the year was the team from the A.L.B.A. Elementary School in Milwaukee, dubbed “The team that said “Se Puede!,” a Spanish version homage to President Obama’s empty campaign slogan, “yes we can,” “si, se puede.”

Radames Galarza describes the best part of his day as “Meeting parents outside the classroom in the morning. I love seeing them grow as community leaders.” I do not understand how it is the role of the teacher to shape parents into community leaders. When did teachers become community organizers?

Elisa Guarnero, Brenda Martinez, and Radames Galarza petitioned the school board for a charter school a decade ago, making multiculturalism part of the curriculum.  In other schools, the team saw students who spoke Spanish be “treated as though their culture and language were liabilities instead of assets.” “Bilingualism, with culture relevance and parental involvement, is a mixture for success, said Guarnero, as quoted by People.

It is a fact that non-English speaking students’ performance on standardized tests does bring down the average scores of the entire school, giving United States lower placing in reading, math, and science on international standardized tests than they would otherwise have.

At the Academia de Lenguaje y Bellas Artes (Why the Spanish name?), “400 youngsters start the day by saying the Pledge of Allegiance in English and Spanish.” The rigorous curriculum and the fine arts classes have helped students “beat state standards and math scores have surpassed the state average.”

Francis Bellamy composed the Pledge of Allegiance of the United States in English in 1892, not in Spanish, as an expression of loyalty to the federal flag and the republic of the United States of America. Modified four times since its composition, the Pledge was adopted by Congress in 1942 in English.   

A nation thrives when it is defined by one language and one culture with which generations can identify. Without a common language and respect for their parents’ and grandparents’ culture, forcing students to adopt languages of immigrant cultures alienates students from previous generations, turning them into global citizens surrounded by a hodge-podge of people from other nations who have no allegiance or love for the country they immigrated to. It certainly helped speed the demise of the Roman Empire when they did not require the invading hordes to speak Latin.

We are a nation of legal immigrants who have forged one distinct culture with one language and national borders that reflect who we are, unhyphenated Americans.  All past immigrants have learned English, assimilated and became part of our culture, of the fabric of our society, while celebrating their roots.

Unfortunately liberals made it necessary and passed laws to translate everything the federal government does in many languages, to the ridiculous extreme that Obamacare instructions and enrollment can be done in 150 languages. Our President was quite proud of this feature of the failed enrollment website. We have become the proverbial Tower of Babel.

Education tends to reward teachers who rave about other primitive cultures as superior while maligning, diminishing, or ignoring our own American culture.

Should we not reward teachers who educate our children to become Americans who love their country, who are proud of our technological achievements, and who become engineers, architects, scientists, writers, and home and nation builders?

Our children should not be taught to be ashamed of our country’s history, of our Christian roots and faith, of our exceptionalism and individuality, and of our important place and significant influence in the world.

It is commendable to reward good educators for all the right reasons. Rewarding the darling teachers who have a multicultural agenda, and who promote and influence the radical transformation of our national identity is a thin political ploy at liberal indoctrination.
