“Democracy Has Gone To Your Head”

Modern politics have morphed into an all-out assault against our country and against its Constitution. If the Con-Con movement succeeds, the Constitutional Convention will be assembled to amend the Constitution to allegedly reign in the political corruption in Washington. The political class does not follow our Constitution as is, what makes one think that they will follow it with more amendments? And what will prevent a runaway convention in which delegates might replace our Constitution with their latest version?

The left is drooling with the desire to replace our Constitution with their own version of the Constitution for the World, called The Draft International Covenant on Environment and Development (D.I.C.E.D), 5th edition, 20 years in the making, a constitution that pays homage and gives power to the new world order, a form of planetary and borderless government as described in Klaus Schwab’s Great Reset devised by his World Economic Forum (WEF) and clearly explained in this document as a climate change emergency and the need for their development visioning. https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/content/documents/2443Covenant_5th_edition.pdf?msclkid=562614e7b0f611ec8505a69da1d3e0c3

The Covenant (agreement) is described by writers as a “living document.” When the world did not believe in global warming, they morphed it into a new euphemism, the climate change. And its profitable fairy dust wind and solar industry grew rapidly at the expense of the hapless American taxpayers.

The fifth edition of D.I.C.E.D. has a preamble, forewords to all five editions (the first was published in 1995), and 83 articles. The document is obviously intended to be a “world constitution for global governance,” an onerous way to control population growth, movement, redistribute wealth, force ‘social and economic equity and justice,’ economic control, consumption control, land and water use control, and re-settlement control as part of social engineering globalist plans.

The only thing “DICED” is going to be your freedom and your private property, “DICED” in perpetuity among the global elites ‘stakeholders.’ They have a strong claim and ‘stake’ in your wealth and everything you have, do, and hold dear in your daily lives now and forever.

The purpose of this constitution is to finally legalize the installation of U.N Agenda 21 now morphed into U.N. Agenda 2030 with its Sustainable Development, the lynchpin of fundamentally changing everything you do in the global visioning of a few elites, supporters, and subscribers to Klaus Schwab’s Great Reset in which you “will own nothing and be happy about it.” And when you do, you will “build back better,” Biden’s oft repeated but empty words, with nothing but misery, despair, abject fear, and want.

As I wrote a decade ago in my book, U.N. Agenda 21: Environmental Piracy on p. 29, “All signatory nations [of the 4th edition of D.I.C.E.D], including the U.S., would become centrally planned, socialist countries in which all decisions would be made within the framework of Sustainable Development.” The ferocious left is already clamoring for socialism around the globe. It is not a coincidence.

The constant mantra coming from the mainstream media, the leftist sycophants, the corporate fascism, and technocracy has been, democracy, democracy, democracy, implying that our country is a democracy and anything the rest of America does that contradicts or disagrees with the politics of the left is an assault on this nebulous democracy.

Democracy means government rule by the people, demos, Greek for people, and kratos, power, rule. But are people powerful at all in this alleged ‘democracy’ the left constantly mentions in every venue possible? Is there even a representative democracy present in our constitutional republic when elected representatives do not represent the will and interests of their majority constituents, but only their own interests of re-election to power?

We are not a democracy, we are a Constitutional Republic, a convenient fact that the general population does not seem to know or remember anymore. Have they really learned or even studied American Civics in school and how our government should operate?

Reality is destroyed violently and reconstructed by the media’s lies and misinformation and a compliant populace, too complacent to take the time to verify the narrative, and too blinded by daily manufactured, highly convincing rhetoric. All the media does is repeat carefully scripted lies and they become facts to the obedient masses.

Are we really a democracy, a “form of government in which the people have the authority to deliberate and decide legislation, or choose governing officials to do so?” When was the last time our elected officials, the political class in Congress, listened to ‘we the people’ and legislated in our interest rather than their own interest and power?

When was the last time the shadow government of non-government organizations (NGOs) with exceptionally large bank accounts was elected to public office and we got to vote for them? When was the last time billionaires, who influenced our health policy and are not medical doctors or scientists, but businessman, were elected to office? When were the technocrats of Google, YouTube, Facebook, and other social media platforms, elected as political advisors, influencers, and policy makers?

The Socialist Republic I lived under for twenty years guaranteed democracy, but the socialist version of democracy was just an illusion on paper. It had a constitution that was altered and rewritten many times over the years at the whims of its Marxist dictator.

When we attempted to ask valid questions about the communist party’s version of history, our history teacher told us in a very threatening way and tone of voice that “democracy has gone to our heads” and, from then on, we were not allowed to ask any more questions, we were to be silent and to write down exactly what she said. The Ministry of Propaganda had spoken from her carefully worded and never distributed syllabus provided by the Ministry of Education and that was the end of any meaningful learning of accurate historical documents and facts. Democracy indeed.

The Role of Education in America-Phobia

I never let my schooling interfere with my education.”     -  Mark Twain

Have God and fervent prayers saved America temporarily from the scourge of global communism by electing Donald Trump for president? It was the hand of God that acted through the voting population to elect Donald Trump but it is up to his chosen administration to implement his promises.

If the President Elect is going to deliver a fraction of his campaign assurances, we are going to make tremendous progress in addressing our huge national debt and our national security.

There is a lot more to be redressed that has been deliberately diminished, fundamentally transformed for the worse, and even destroyed in the last ten years, i.e., the military, jobs, the economy, education, health care, family, faith, our personal freedoms, and our foreign policy.

No matter what problems we attempt to solve, unless we change the “global citizen” course of our educational system dictated from the Department of Education in Washington and the States’ Department of Education, we are doomed to fail, and Common Core will remain the curriculum tool of the global citizenship. America will continue on the globalist path of self-destruction and irrelevancy.

Charter schools will give marginalized students an opportunity for a better school choice, however, there is no guarantee that the indoctrination into Marxism will stop. Those teachers come from the same pool of the College of Education licensed teachers, the corps of “social justice” and “collectivist” thinking.

Socialist teachers will continue to be the vectors of Marxist indoctrination because they are rolled out with little effort on the College of Education assembly line and are encouraged to become proud members of the National Education Association.

Unfortunately for America, these socialist teachers have our children’s eyes, ears, and minds eight hours a day, ample time to shape them into the communist and environmentalist drones required by the 21st century “social justice” and impossible equality know-nothing workforce.

Sadly, the establishment no longer educates teachers like some of my former colleagues who taught real American history, no matter how uncomfortable the truth may have been to some. They taught Civics and brought speakers to their classes who have experienced or survived communism, the Holocaust, and various wars. They infused pride in our American culture and honored our American exceptionalism. No revisionist history was taught and Howard Zinn’s popular textbook, “A People’s History of the United States,” was not used. David Greenberg wrote in 2013 about “Howard Zinn’s influential mutilations of American history.” https://newrepublic.com/article/112574/howard-zinns-influential-mutilations-american-history

One day a year students were required to eat just soup so that they could feel what it was like to stand in soup lines during the Great Depression. This type of “fasting” was uncomfortable for the coddled generation who felt deprived of their abundant choices in the cafeteria. Many complained bitterly when their tummies were churning empty.

Posters were hung in the hallway for a week, showing in grisly detail the Holocaust atrocities committed by the German National Socialist Party (the NAZIS) against the Jews, the gypsies, the gays, the priests, the handicapped, and anybody else who did not fit the insane profile of the perfect race as designed by Hitler’s Social Democrat party. No safe spaces for these students to flee from reality -- Judy wanted her students to never forget what evil atrocities monsters were capable of towards their fellow man.

A Christmas Cantata was organized every year and a Christmas tree was proudly decorated by students of all religions who enjoyed the tradition. A staff member dressed as Santa Claus; faculty and students took turns having their photographs taken. There was no “war on Christmas” then and people wished each other ‘Merry Christmas’ instead of the leftist politically correct ‘Happy Holidays.’

Ten years ago, an administrator thought it wise to bring an imam to school to indoctrinate a rapt audience of high school students to the wonders of Islam and the “respect” they afford women. The faculty stood silent, disapproving, but fearful of losing their jobs if they spoke out. Some nodded in agreement with the imam; one of his sons will be caught years later trying to join ISIS with his girlfriend.

Diversity did not have to be mandated by government, our society was already plenty diverse and tolerant but not self-destructive. Legal immigrants assimilated into our country, were proud to be here, learned English, but retained their traditions and language at home. Now, the government-imposed progressive and diversity at every level is splitting society into divided groups, at odds with each other, creating micro-societies within our country, each rooting for the hellhole they’ve escaped from, or pushing the agenda they were paid to advocate.

The America-phobia ginned up by the progressive left has reached a new crescendo. They are projecting and displaying all their hatred and intolerance for Americans, while glorifying third world nations and primitive cultures as better than our civilization, vilifying hard-working ordinary Americans who happen to disagree with them. America-phobes want to change everything in the image of their Marxist ideology, utopian nonsense that has failed fully in every country where it had been forced upon the disarmed population.

Progressives no longer hide their intolerance and disdain for Caucasians and conservatives, inventing terms such as “white privilege,” “micro aggression,” “pathological bias,” “ordinary prejudice,” “pathological bigotry,” requiring collegiate “safe spaces” for their frightened progeny, the Snowflake Generation, telling them lies that all conservatives are racist and bigoted, and are going to harm legal and illegal immigrant children.

At the same time, the progressive and Islamo-phile MSM are busy turning a blind eye to all the violence, mayhem, and crimes that Islamists have committed in this country and around the globe. Nobody in the Christian population at large has attacked, killed, or maimed any Muslims. However, most terror attacks that have occurred in this country in the last fifteen years had been orchestrated and executed by radical Islam.

Symbols of pride and Americanism, our flag, our National Anthem have been burned and disrespected; monuments and veteran cemeteries have been desecrated without much note or mention by the main stream media.

The cable news media ignored the massive fires in Tennessee while spending an inordinate amount of time on the Oakland fire even though both events were tragic. The MSM focused non-stop on paid rioters around the country, on their mercenary and violent demonstrations against the President Elect with whom they vitriolically disagree. Innocent bystanders were subjected to their hateful wrath and suffered physical injuries.

Since the presidential election was not to their liking, the intolerant left is now trying to subvert and destroy the Electoral College process. Baseless recount challenges have been made in three states and millions were raised overnight by the Green Party candidate. Additionally, alleged threats have been made to electors to change their votes before December 19.

Our future depends on who is going to win the war on our “borders, language, and culture,” on our sovereignty, the leftist America-phobes or the America-philes? Unless we change the global communist course and Common Core content of the public education and collegiate education of our children, the future looks uncertain.

Why Global Citizenship and Not American Citizenship?

I have asked many students over my 30 teaching years why they attended college. The answers encompassed a wide range:

-          It’s a family tradition and my parents are making me

-          I want to learn more about a particular subject

-          I want a higher-paying job

-          I want to be a doctor, a vet, an engineer, a pilot, an astronaut, an artist

-          I want to do research and find a cure for cancer

-          I have nothing better to do with my time and I like being a student

-          I want to be perennial learner and the tuition is paid by the government

-          I want to make American lives better

-          I want to be the first college graduate in my family

-          I don’t want to work in a blue collar job like my father

-          I want to help my small hometown who needs a doctor or a vet

Not one time did I hear a student say that they are pursuing a college degree for “diversity,” “global citizenship,” and “social justice.” Not one time did any student tell me that they were studying in order to make other nations better, spread the wealth of his/her earnings to the downtrodden of the world, or rearrange America in the image of social justice, code words for communism.

I am not sure I talked to anyone who said, I really want to change this country into a communist society because I was taught by academia that Marx’s teachings would make it better. America has been so rotten for over 250 years and we must fix it.

The electronic board I saw in a large D.C. mall pictured a young man and proclaimed in bold letters, “WORLD READY. Honor. Excellence. Service. Preparation for work, life, and citizenship in the global economy.*” I asked myself, do we live in America or the globe? Shouldn’t this college prepare students for American citizenship in our economy? The asterisk explained that the University of Mary Washington subscribes to the 2012 Association of American Colleges & Universities: Promising Practices for Personal and Social Responsibility.”

As a parent and former teacher, I wanted to know what this AAC&U 2012 platform was, so I started digging. The electronic ad at the mall intrigued me and I could not get it out of my mind.

The platform (the pdf file has 112 pages) which grew from a 2006 AAC&U initiative with a grant from the Templeton Foundation, “Core Commitments: Educating Students for Personal and Social Responsibility,” emphasized “learning skills and dispositions appropriate for living and working in a diverse society, such as their ‘ability to see the world from someone else’s perspective,’ ‘tolerance of others with diverse beliefs,’ and ‘ability to work cooperatively with diverse people.’” The wording for “Core Commitments” in higher education sounded eerily similar to some of the wording in Common Core Standards for elementary and high school education.

The problem with “diverse” and “diversity” is that it is not a civic strength despite liberal promotion of multiculturalism, “multicultural festivals,” and political speeches about multiculturalism that present America as stronger because of diversity. Europeans have already admitted publicly through Angela Merkel and Nicolas Sarkozy that multiculturalism has failed miserably in Europe.

Harvard political scientist Robert Putnam found out by interviewing 30,000 people across America that the more diverse a community, the fewer people vote and volunteer, the less they give to charity, and the less they work on community projects. Putnam’s study, the largest on civic involvement in America, found that almost all measures of civic participation are lower in the more diverse settings. (The Downside of Diversity – The Boston Globe, August 2007)

Max Fisher explained that studies also show that diversity tends to correlate with low Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and conflict. The African continent tends to be the most diverse and with lower GDP.

In concert with AAC&U’s Liberal Education and America’s Promise (LEAP) initiative, the Core Commitments require five indispensable “capacities” for college students:

-          Strong work ethic

-          Personal relationships and academic integrity

-          Contributing to a larger community

-          Taking seriously the perspectives of others

-          Developing competence in ethical and moral reasoning and action
https://aacu.org/core_commitments/.../promising_practices_rc2012.pdf

The five Core Commitments “capacities” contain elements of indoctrination as well as elements of parental guidance that should have been instilled into their children long before they made it to college.  Taking over the parental role and reshaping their children’s view of the world smacks of indoctrination. What kind of action are our students supposed to take? Do these five “core capacities” and especially the development of “competence in ethical and moral reasoning and action reflect our American values or are they reflecting the values of a global entity that is pushing global citizenship?

Americans are not responsible for the outcomes and lives of those around the globe. Americans already engage in volunteerism and service, they do not need mandated curricula from an institution of higher learning.

Americans are already one the most tolerant cultures when it comes to racial and ethnic diversity. As research shows, diversity makes our civic societal fabric weaker, not stronger.

Why would colleges then mandate preparation of our American students for global citizenship, should colleges not prepare students for American citizenship?
