Cultural Marxism and Euphemisms

Cultural Marxist academics, their sycophant students, and the main stream media are at war with America – a war of violent Marxist ideology and a war of cleverly chosen words and euphemisms that appear time and time again in many college courses, high school classes, in propaganda literature, newspapers, conferences, and in the manufactured news. Cultural Marxists are regular guests on all the alphabet soup networks masquerading as real news, spewing their hatred, their disdain and disrespect for our President, and their calls to renewed violence in the streets through their masked Black Shirts.

As David Horrowitz said, “Worse yet, this is the dominant culture in our universities, in our media, in our judiciary, in government, in unions, and in the shadow political universe of non-profits, with billions of tax-free dollars at their disposal.”

Language is a powerful tool of discourse, mass political indoctrination and agitation. Marxist Democrats are quite adept at using inflammatory language and deceptive euphemisms to suit their nefarious political ends.

In any kind of ideological and political war, the first victim is truth, replaced with lies, dressed cleverly by rhetoric, obfuscation, and intentional debasement of language.

George Orwell wrote an essay in 1946, “Politics and the English Language,” focusing on language which “is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.” Such language, often vague and meaningless, concealed the oppressive ideology.

Taking private property from farmers and other owners is thus called “transfer of population” or “rectification of frontiers.” The process of sending people to gulags to die becomes “elimination of unreliable elements.” “Pacification” attempted to defend the indefensible acts of bombing and driving out locals from their ancestral lands and giving the land to a population protected by the intentions of the elites.

Orwell pointed out that “the great enemy of clear language is insincerity.” The less sincere the speaker or writer is, particularly politicians and journalists, the more they “disguise their intentions behind euphemisms and convoluted phrasing.”

Academic writing is resplendent with “pretentious diction” and “meaningless words.” According to Orwell, “In certain kinds of writing, particularly in art criticism and literary criticism, it is normal to come across long passages which are almost completely lacking in meaning.”

Concurrent with “Politics and the English Language,” Orwell published “The Prevention of Literature.” The two essays reflect his alarm over the victimization of truth in the distorted use of language. Orwell pointed out the “deliberate use of misleading double-talk language among those he identified as pro-Soviet.” He predicted the type of literature under a future totalitarian society – “formulaic and low grade sensationalism.”

Analyzing some of the euphemisms conceived by today’s progressives, and I only scratched the surface, we realize that Orwell’s words from sixty years ago are still true.

“Undocumented worker” is an obvious mischaracterization of illegal aliens who are invading our country with the approval of corporatist elites in both Democrat and Republican parties. These individuals do have documents from their countries of origin and have broken the law by crossing our borders illegally. Not only are they not repatriated, they are given equal rights with Americans so that corrupt politicians can stay in power in Democrat states like California. These people become illegal voters even though they do not speak the language, do not understand our laws, our Constitution, and do not care that they are helping transform our country into the hell hole they’ve fled. So long as they get undeserved welfare and Social Security benefits, they will vote Democrat in perpetuity.

“Our core values” is Democrat double-speak for demographic and cultural suicide. We allow every unvetted flotsam and jetsam from around the world into our country, disregarding the interests of the American public, their safety, health, and well-being under the guise of “that is not who we are as a nation.” The Democrat Party and the leftist agenda are now making the decision of who we are as a nation and as people, without bothering to consult the rest of America.

If we want to uphold law and order, our borders, language, and culture, we are “bigoted.” The meaning of “bigoted” has been stretched and bastardized to now mean pretty much anything the left wants it to mean. Yet it seems that leftists are truly intolerant toward those holding different opinions. They often turn their intolerance into violence, silencing the opposition and their right to free speech especially in the bastions of liberal academia around the country.

Additionally, if you disagree with any goals of the leftist agenda, you are “racist.” The real meaning of “racism” as described in the Merriam-Webster dictionary, “a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities, and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race,” has been lost in the leftist double-talk.

If you want legal immigration and national borders, safe from criminals, gangs, disease, and jihadi intrusions, you are a “xenophobe.” All foreign-born individuals who are now proud American citizens and prefer that immigrants follow the rule of law just like they did, are accused of xenophobia, “undue fear of what is foreign and especially of people of foreign origin.”

If you condemn militant jihad, hijra, and Islamic violence, you are an “Islamophobe.” That word silences the opposition so that the liberal goal of unrestricted Islamic invasion continues.

Liberals call themselves “progressives” even though their goals have nothing to do with progress but with regression to a totalitarian and oppressive communist society which has failed everywhere it has been tried. Liberals are repackaging the Bolshevik effort t by saying that communism was not implemented the right way.

“Liberalism” does not really represent the meaning of the Latin word, “liber” (free). Liberalism is disguised incremental socialism that will eventually lead to global communism.  “The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But under the name of “liberalism” they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

People accept the word “global citizen” without ever asking themselves what it entails. A “global citizen” is an individual who lives in a country that is no longer a state; it has no borders, no sovereignty, no national identity, no passport, and no national history.  Yet most schools and colleges advertise that their students have been brainwashed and prepared for global citizenship.

On campuses around the country, “snowflakes” are cowering and hiding in their “safe spaces” in fear of reality that contradicts what they’ve been told and taught since they were born and led across a stage and given participation trophies.

The word “inhumane” (without compassion for misery or suffering; cruel) has been trivialized to excuse any breaking of the law without punishment and repercussions. In the mentally disordered liberal brain, suffering the consequences of bad choices, decisions, and subsequent criminality has become cruel and “inhumane.”

The word “diversity” is no longer used as being diverse and different; it is now a liberal code word for perversity which must be acknowledged by the other side, encoded into law, and enforced by the courts.

Homosexuality hides behind the word “gay” which previously meant “happy.” Different types of deviance are disguised behind the words “cross-dressers.” “Gender fluidity” can be interpreted as any sexual anomaly and psychological confusion – anything flows.

“Multiculturalism” is the code word for Cultural Marxism agenda and the transformation of your country into a tower of Babel of illegal immigrants who have no intention of assimilating or accepting the invaded culture, its laws, its history, and its language. It is considered “inhumane” to force such illegal aliens to assimilate and contribute to society in a meaningful way.

Liberals force their ideas, plans, and global agenda on the rest of us in the name of “civil society.” This represents the globalist elites backed by power, influence, and money to socially engineer our lives any way they wish because they know best what is good for billions of people around the globe and the faux science backing them “has been settled.”

The laws and cries of “equal opportunity” coming from various special interest groups are not really asking for “equality,” they are asking for preferential treatment. And “social justice” is not asking for justice, it is asking for government sanctioned stealing, taking private property and money from those who worked for it and earned it, and giving it to those who did not earn it and are not entitled to it.

Social Security is not an “entitlement,” it is money that people have earned and contributed into a fund for decades in order to provide them with income in retirement.  It is theft when Social Security money is given to illegal aliens as soon as they set foot on our soil.

Liberals created special and protected categories for some races and ethnic groups such as calling Hispanic women “Latinas.”  To my knowledge, Latium was a region in the former Roman Empire, thus those people could be called Latinas and Latini. Black people are now “African Americans” even though most of them have never set foot in Africa nor were they born there. Caucasians don’t call themselves European Americans. There are Africans who are American citizens and have every right to call themselves African Americans, including Caucasians from South Africa. These special categories are not necessary; they are divisive and counterproductive, treating the special group as a group that cannot survive without the force of government.

It seems that liberalism is not really freedom; it thrives on divisiveness, separation, and inequality. They use deceptive language, euphemisms, and lies to implement their goals and policies in the name of “democracy” even though we are not a democracy, we are a constitutional republic. But liberals count on their blind followers to be ignorant of history and civics.

Mob Rule Demands in Higher Education

I’ve always suspected that in higher education football was king and liberal arts programs were more about socialist indoctrination than about education.  There are exceptions in science majors which prepare students with college degrees to be meaningful contributors to society and tomorrow’s inventors.

I’ve watched several college presidents dance to the tune of rich alumni who influenced the donation purse based on the collegiate sports performance and listing themselves as successful based on how many new buildings they left behind and how much they’ve improved the athletic programs and infrastructure, including the football stadium. Top coaches are often the highest paid staff members of any college, even more than the president.

It became glaringly obvious at the University of Missouri, where the college president was forced to resign over a debacle involving alleged social injustices and alleged racism, that the football revenue was far more important than the academic excellence of its students. When the football team threatened to boycott the upcoming football games, then the ball started rolling and the president resigned.

The community organizing mob rule has taken over this university and it is likely to repeat itself across the country. Nobody bothered to fact-check the outrageous allegations made by various students, stoked by outsiders who came to the campus to cause chaos, and certain faculty members who were down right abusive in their behavior.

It is certainly an element of pride to have winning football, baseball, or basketball teams. To cave education standards to the demands of lunatics who make up non-existent problems on campus, and to demand that the president apologizes for his manufactured “white privilege” is an element of shame. The demands made resemble the fascistic activism of post-Weimar Republic in Germany and the activism of the communist agitators in Stalinist era.

Colleges are supposed to be inclusive, diverse, multicultural, and tolerant, a place to exchange divergent ideas and philosophies. But tolerance ends the moment you disagree with liberals and their progressive agenda of “its’ my communist way, or the highway.”

A college has become a very expensive place where Christianity, conservatism, the American flag, and the Constitution of the United States of America are not welcome anymore but Islam, atheism, communism, and environmentalism are invited with open arms.

Colleges have become places where faculty members agree with students that the Constitution is a threat, should be banned from libraries, banned from campus altogether, and shredded.

Colleges are no longer the vaunted place of learning; they are just a lucrative business that turns out the next generation of indoctrinated young people with worthless degrees that cost their parents thousands of dollars. Nobody questions the out of control tuition that pays the inflated salaries of college professors like Melissa Click, mass media associate professor at University of Missouri, who bullied a student on campus who was exercising his freedom of speech and of assembly. The football team had threatened to boycott the upcoming games in support of students who demanded president Tim Wolfe’s resignation because he had not done enough to address invented racism on his campus, following alleged incidents that turned out to be entirely fabricated.

Why the president chose to resign instead of suspend the football players who refused to do what they were given scholarships, shelter, and food for, remains a mystery. It appears that the worship of collegiate sports is a larger mission of a university than actually educating our youth to become productive citizens.

Athletic programs spend so much money tutoring football players to make sure they pass their classes in order to remain in the game. There is a pool of well-paid tutors who earn money helping at risk-of-failing or failing football players to study or guiding them to write assignments and papers.

Interestingly, all the student agitation, indoctrination, and hatred come from liberal arts professors who teach outrageous subjects. The curriculum would be laughable if it was not so expensive to pursue these insane majors. The fluff and ridiculous classes have a large audience and customers who are willing to pay good money to be taught women’s studies, racial studies, receiving worthless degrees that will not garner the awardees a job for the next few centuries.

These are students who cannot pass serious courses, and avoid them like the plague. They comprise the dumbed-down segment of the American educated youth with a diploma on the wall that is not worth the beautiful paper that is printed on by the craft of artisans who probably never set foot in a university but are more talented and skilled than thousands and thousands of college graduates who receive these glossy pieces of paper after they expended no real effort.

I am familiar with the verbal abuse, threats, fear of failing a class, and fear of liberal professors lording over grades that students must endure if they have the temerity to show their patriotism, Christianity, libertarianism, or conservatism in class.

I am also familiar with accusation of racism lobbed at professors if minority students who miss class a lot, do not do the minimum class work required, are disruptive in class by being late, talkative, obnoxious, eating or drinking in class, using cell phones, or are just unprepared to put in the effort necessary to succeed in a more challenging curriculum.

We are now a country where adults cave in to malcontents. We have raised generations of sheltered kids who are afraid of their own shadows but speak loudly on issues they do not understand or know nothing about, and vote massively each time for their own demise. They are ignorant of the world around them and of the issues involved but are easily manipulated by the community organizers with a communist agenda, the liberal media, their liberal college professors, the comedians pretending to be journalists, and their equally uninformed friends.

American young people are the product of an exaggerated self-esteem inculcated by parents and schools. Precious Johnny can do no wrong; it might hurt his feelings if he does not get a trophy for walking across the stage without tripping or for participation.

Students are asking for “safe spaces“ on campus where they can be protected from reality, from life, from failure, from people who disagree with them, from symbols and negative comments that upset them or hurt their feelings, from jokes they don’t like, from anything that might destroy their kumbaya view of the world.

Such mental weakness leaves these young collegians ripe for picking by very clever ultra-leftist community organizers like Black Lives Matter or Occupy Wall Street, and vulnerable to the next snake-oil salesman.

 

 

Children Should Come With Instructions

Children don’t arrive at birth with a conveniently written manual to address every parental crisis in the middle of the night. It is hard being a parent, especially a good parent, and many of us do need the Idiot’s Guide to Parenting.  Liberals are more than willing to step in via free government programs to give firm instructions and to control how you raise your children.  They have been pretty successful so far in taking away many parental rights while molding the next liberal generation.

When I had children in the 80s, there were no self-help books, and the only source of scholarly parental wisdom and what to do was Dr. Benjamin Spock, M.D. However, most of the time I deferred to my mom’s experience and to other elders who laughed when TV stars and psychologists with out-of-control children tried to give parental and child-rearing advice.

Protecting my children from self-inflicted injury was not easy – dangers lurked in every corner, plug, cabinet, dangling string, slippery surface, sharp object, pill bottle, knife, scissors, freezer, electric socket, chewable toy, and especially the bathroom. As a toddler, one of my daughters loved to drink water out of the commode with her Sippy cup. Being escape artists, it was hard to hold on to them in public places. I managed fine without having to put them on a leash/harness, a common practice at that time. They did complain bitterly much later that they were on a tight leash as teenagers.

With every stage of development, new and interesting challenges arose but nothing was as hard as the teenage years. At this developmental stage, our children decided that we, the parents, were an utter embarrassment to them. We should have been banished to a faraway island, while they could freely choose a new set of parents, preferably someone hip and young, who had not fallen off the fashion train in the 70s; this someone would have to be glamorous, smart, and more accommodating and understanding of their “simple” needs and immediate demands.

Because I grew up in a different culture, my views of what constituted proper parenting and those of my American counterparts often clashed. After all, I was not really American, I was naturalized. My children hated me and felt as if they were the victims of my Old World antiquated ways of mothering. I was experimenting and destroying their future. What was I thinking? Why would I not let them do whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted, and with whomever they wanted?

For starters, why was it necessary for kids to spend the night in a total stranger’s home whose parents I did not know, whose house I could not inspect, and whose bad habits I might not approve of to be displayed in front of my children, and whose lack of parenting I might find shocking. What was wrong with our home and their own beds? After all, they did have summer camps for sleepovers in the middle of nature, surrounded by lots of fun critters.

Why was it necessary for parents to spend inordinate amounts of money on slutty clothes for their children when a simple, no, you are not going to dress like that, would have sufficed? Who was the parent? Did they need the latest trinkets, toys, electronics, stereos, DVDs, Cabbage Patch dolls, and other useless devices that stifled creativity?

What was wrong with kids meeting in the back yard, close to nature and the sandbox, using their creativity and boundless energy to play? My daughters never came inside before sundown. Nowadays kids have to have play dates. What is that all about? Do you match the kids based on your friendship preferences, moral values, wealth, and social status?

I never understood the total disregard for morality, propriety, and for the welfare of other parents’ children, coming to their friends’ homes to “hang out” where alcohol, drugs, and tobacco consumption were encouraged and provided, with the expectation that children having sex was normal - “it is better to have sex in our home, supervised, instead in some seedy place.” What is wrong with saying no, you are not doing that in my house?

American clothing style has degenerated from elegant, proper, and detailed, to the skimpy, improper, and right down scandalous. As a very elegantly dressed professor who made her own clothes once said, there has to be a middle way between being “half naked in public and the burka.”

Boys cannot concentrate in school with girls dressed in mini-skirts, showing their derriere, and dressed in tight tops with their breasts hanging out. Worse yet, certain administrators and teachers approved of such a dress code and did not send the offenders home to change. On the contrary, some administrators sent students home who wore patriotic t-shirts or displays of religious affiliation such as a cross or Bible verses, for fear that it might make other students uncomfortable.

When I go out to a restaurant to eat with my family, I expect a relaxing atmosphere, conversation, and good food. I am not there to listen to past middle age men with trophy wife number two teaching their bratty kids their ABCs in public and how to properly color within the lines, disrupting the entire restaurant atmosphere. Also, I am not there to look at skimpily clad women’s body parts with rolls of baby fat overflowing their several sizes too small garments.

Nobody should have to witness the obscene and right down pornographic dress and behavior of our youth imitating Hollywood stars who have no moral compass. Hanna Montana was a role model for young girls for a long time and parents loved her. But Miley’s pathetic performance, simulating sex on stage, surrounded by teddy bears, degrades and dehumanizes women, debasing innocence and preparing young people to accept more twisted and perverse behavior to come. Nothing seems to shock us anymore.

Modesty, honesty, innocence, and propriety have been lost long time ago, replaced by the race to the top of smut and titillation. This is what liberalism and feminism-gone-wild have done to young girls and young women, who confuse dancing around half-naked with power, sexuality, and achievement.

Parents must have been mortified. They control the purse strings, the education of their children, and the TV remote, not Hollywood or academia. Yet the degradation of our culture and of our youth continues in the name of tolerance. Liberalism has promoted the idea of being non-judgmental because they don’t want people to think for themselves, they want to groom and prepare the next generation of faithful and blind liberal followers.

 

 

 

 

 

My Trip to the Liberal Zoo

I took a patriotic trip today to visit one of the places that have defined American knowledge, literature, science, music, architecture, creativity, ingenuity, learning, and achievement since 1897 – the Library of Congress, a place dedicated to preserve the immediate and long-term future of this nation.

I planned to drive to the metro station, park, and ride several trains to the Eastern Market then walk to the Library of Congress along Pennsylvania Avenue. As soon as I exited the coolness of the underground metro, the bright sun and humidity enveloped me. At the top of the escalator, an elderly lady with spiky white hair was sporting a black t-shirt with the words “green festival.” The back of the shirt had three lines, “sustainable economy,” “ecological balance,” and “social justice.” I immediately saw red, literally and figuratively.

This “green” festival she was advertising on her t-shirt will be held in the area at the end of September. Suddenly, the day became oppressive for me. How could I tell this stranger that she was supporting the communist United Nations Agenda 21 of “spreading the wealth” to third world dictatorships by eliminating private property, sovereignty, and personal freedom in the western world in the name of “greening the earth?” Perhaps she knew that already and did not care.

Walking along Pennsylvania Avenue, I was struck by the many mom and pop shops and restaurants, dingy in exterior appearance, in stark contrast to the very expensive townhouses, townhomes, and apartments lining the avenue.

I watched pedestrians, dressed very casual, with worn-out tennis shoes. Many locals were riding bicycles to and fro ignoring the heavy three lane traffic in both directions. The sidewalks were dirty, in spite of the proximity to downtown. There was an air of granola liberalism about the storefronts advertising organic this, natural that, save the environment, and the Obama t-shirts and hats that a lone vendor was selling.

A pizzeria with its doors opened wide in Italian style invited in both patrons and flies. It was hot, expensive, $4 per slice, and it came with an environmental surcharge added to the bill. I love planting trees and caring for the environment, but I hate when people force me to do something by charging a fee to my bill when I am not paying attention and calling it optional online. It reminds me of the involuntary “volunteer” work forced by the communist party on us every month in the country of my birth.

A gas station along the avenue sold regular gas for $4.59 a gallon, a good $1 more than in Virginia, a few miles down the interstate. Democrats must love the “change” in the price of gasoline since President Obama took office – it was $1.79 per gallon then. They still “hope” that everyone adopts their liberal lifestyle along Pennsylvania Avenue with easy bike rides, walking, and condo existence for a mere $3,000 a month for a one-bedroom. 

I finally made it to the Library of Congress. The Thomas Jefferson Building is the main tourist attraction and it remains exactly as it was in 1897 when it opened.  The other two buildings are modern concrete, glass, and steel, utilitarian behemoths with stacks and stacks of books.

Employees and visitors must submit to bag screenings, entering and leaving. In the past, selfish individuals have ripped rare art pages from books, which were then found for sale in Boston and other towns. Since then, everyone must submit to visual checks of purses and backpacks.

The Thomas Jefferson Building, a majestic example of Italian Renaissance-style with 75 feet ceilings above the marble floor, was the first structure constructed with electricity installed. Its architectural style and decorative interior include a plethora of symbolism relating to learning, knowledge, literature, creativity, and intellectual achievement. The Roman goddess Minerva, in a gold leaf and marble mosaic, protects civilization and knowledge. An owl, the symbol of wisdom, and the statue of Victory flank Minerva who holds a scroll listing fields of study important to civilization.

Books, scrolls, and torches represent scientific discovery and learning. Stained-glass skylights, royal staircases, and triangular vaults with names of leaders, writers, and thinkers adorn the Great Hall. Small children represent occupations and the symbol of various trades such as an electrician with a phone receiver, or an entomologist with a butterfly; globes represent four continents: Africa, America, Europe, and Asia.  A large rose brass inlay on the marble floor depicts the twelve signs of the Zodiac.

The Main Reading Room ceiling with a cupola 160 feet tall, is covered with rosettes (some contain a sprinkler system added in the 1980s’ renovation) and a story of the evolution of civilization as understood in 1897, starting with Egypt for written records, Judea for religion, Greece for philosophy, Rome for administration, Islam for physics, Middle Ages for modern languages, Italy for fine arts, Germany for the art of printing, Spain for exploration, England for literature, France for emancipation, and America for science. Eight semi-circular stained glass windows with images of the 45 states and three territories adorn the ceiling. Alaska and Hawaii had not joined the union in 1897. The first six states to join the union, beginning with Delaware, are also depicted in stained glass lunettes in the mezzanine. Only serious researchers with a pass are allowed on the main reading room floor and can use the 236 desks and the library’s vast collections.

Because the British burned in 1814 the initial collection of 740 books and 3 maps used by Congress, President Thomas Jefferson offered his personal library as replacement. Congress appropriated $23,950 to purchase Jefferson’s collection of 6,487 books as a starting foundation for today’s vast library holdings of over 150 million items, books, photographs, sound recordings, maps, music sheets, print materials, manuscripts, and motion pictures. The Thomas Jefferson Library exhibit is found on the second floor. The new “Congressional Library” opened on November 1, 1897 and is considered a national monument.

The most valuable items in the Library are the Gutenberg Bible and the Giant Bible of Mainz. The Gutenberg Bible is the first printed material from moveable type, invented by Johannes Gutenberg. Printing enabled ordinary people who knew how to read to own a Bible.  Johannes Gutenberg’s three volume Bible was printed in 1455. The 42 lines per page text is the Latin translation known as the Vulgate, meant for ordinary people.  Each page’s initial letter and heading are hand painted in color. St. Jerome made the translation in the fourth century.  “The Library of Congress’ copy is printed on vellum and is one of only three perfect copies known to exist.”

The Giant Bible of Mainz is composed of 459 vellum skins of 16x22 inches each. The text was written by a scribe in columns. The scribe wrote the Bible from April 4, 1452 until July 9, 1453. The entire labor of love and beauty took 15 months to complete. The Giant Bible of Mainz was gifted to the Library of Congress on April 4, 1952 by Lessing J. Rosenwald, 500 years after the manuscript was begun.

Most interestingly, five lunette paintings by Elihu Vedder are found in alcoves by the elevator, depicting Government; over the door on the left, the paintings show Corrupt Legislation and Anarchy; on the right are Good Administration, and Peace and Prosperity.

Currently, the Library of Congress is hosting four exhibits:

-          Hope for America, a salute to performer Bob Hope, Politics, and Pop Culture (available online at www.loc.gov/exhibits)

-          Exploring the Early Americas, an ongoing exhibition of 3,000 rare maps, documents, paintings, prints, and artifacts

-          The Armenian Literary Tradition (April 19-September 26, 2012)

-          Books That Shaped America, exhibits with titles that have had a profound effect on American life as chosen by “curators and experts of the Library of Congress”

I left the Library of Congress full of hope and enlightenment. As I finally reached the metro station where I parked the car, I was happily exhausted. My patriotic roots had been renewed and I was lulled into an optimistic sense of reality until I saw a table of two women in the middle of the metro hallway. A young college age female and a middle aged woman were tending to a voting registration booth with a huge sign in Spanish. My heart sank. I asked why Americans are being registered to vote with a sign in Spanish and not in English. The college girl answered quickly, “English is not the official language of the United States.”

Should English not be the official language of the United States? Rep. Steve King thinks so and urges people to contact their Congressman to bring H.R. 997, the English Language Unity Act to a vote. Dr. Rosalie Porter, who testified before the U.S. House of Representatives, said, “This legislation is essential to the unity of our country.  Making English the official language of the United States would reaffirm the melting pot ideal and provide a powerful incentive for new immigrants to learn English.”

You must be an American citizen, natural born or naturalized, to vote in any election. To be a naturalized American citizen under the age of 50, you must be able to speak English. Why then are we registering illegal aliens to vote in the D.C. metro? These women were representing the Democrat party’s desperation to win at all costs. They were not rooting for America; they were rooting for illegal aliens to provide convenient Democrat votes in exchange for welfare dependency promise paid for by the unwilling American taxpayers.

There is so much history and achievement that defines American exceptionalism yet it is now in the middle of the liberal zoo.
