Illegal Immigration and Western Civilization Demise

“We will never create enough laws to control evil – evil does not obey laws! church marquee in Texas

Katie Hopkins warned Americans about the dangers of unrestricted Islamic immigration and described in frank detail how it has affected the U.K. and Europe, contributing to a social decline and an inimical atmosphere.  Thanks to Barack Obama’s eight-year Islamophilic presidency, unrestricted immigration has spread to the United States. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMdwUBBnhx4

Michael Savage, the conservative talk show host, was banned from the U.K. for alleged hate speech which offended Islam.  Few advocated on his behalf to protect his freedom of expression and now, one by one, conservative voices of dissent and opposition to illegal immigration are being silenced.

It is interesting to note that, the more is penned on the subject, the more skepticism prevails, the messenger becoming a Cassandra. The Greek mythological Cassandra was cursed to voice prophecies that were true, but her prophecies were not believed.

A few authors dare to describe the reality and statistics of a shocking coma of western civilization caused by massive immigration from the third world and orchestrated by globalist politicians. Warnings are ignored, derided, or condemned by those in power as hate speech or shrugged off as the latest conspiracy theory of edgy writers.

Books and many articles have been written about Europe’s demographic suicide and its eventual demise. The most recent and quite compelling is Douglas Murray’s “The Strange Death of Europe.”

Douglas Murray explained that Europe has been afflicted by a fatal disease that is impossible to cure. Despite the passage of time and normal changes, cultural succession, traditions, customs, values, and behaviors gave us the ability to recognize European peoples as Greek, English, Spanish, French, etc. In the face of massive and unrelenting immigration, the host populations are harder to recognize as they have bent to the values of the invaders.

“As a result, by the end of the lifespans of most people currently alive Europe will not be Europe and the peoples of Europe will have lost the only place in the world we had to call home,” said Murray.

All these warnings have fallen on deaf ears. The politicians and corporatist billionaires have decided that our civilization is passé and must be replaced by fresh illiterate blood from the third world – easily duped and manipulated.

U.N., with help from its affiliated NGOs (non-governmental organizations) aims to dictate population control and birth, diversity, border erasure, education, immigration, business, transportation, commerce, energy consumption, private property, housing, food production, water use, and healthcare. For decades, they have chipped at our lives bit by bit, making incremental progress at local, state, and federal levels via their 1992 U.N. Agenda 21 now morphed into Agenda 2030.  Rep. Ocasio-Cortes’ New Green Deal is not new, it is not green, and it is not a deal. It is the derivative U.N. Agenda 2030 on steroids.

Their plan is that each country is meant to become a “home for the entire world,” no borders, endless welfare, all controlled by the United Nations and the billionaire elites who hold the purse strings of each former government.

American people seem to have lost faith in their own beliefs, traditions, and argue against their historical legitimacy to exist, an “existential tiredness,” or as my wise grandmother used to say, being tired of the good life and having democracy gone to their heads.

Teachers have been busy for decades telling generations of captivated students that their culture, history, and heroes are bad, not worth preserving, white people should feel guilty for their existence, and that they should turn over their culture to the noble and much-admired primitive nations. A new culture must be allowed to replace the old, tired civilization. In other words, let’s reinvent the wheel because it is their turn to do so.

Prior to 2000, few people have heard or used terms such as “alarmist,” “scaremongering,” “racist,” “Islamophobe,” “hater,” and “xenophobe” connected to immigration.  Legal immigrants and citizens who obey the law are called “xenophobes” when they object to illegal immigration and the flooding of the country with inimical individuals of military age.

Public concerns be damned, American corrupt politicians continue to stay in power by advocating for open borders and unchecked immigration, while complaining about the “broken” immigration laws ad nauseam. Such laws are not broken, they are not being enforced by orders of the very government charged with the protection of its citizens.

The same politicians object to voting I.D. laws because they want illegal aliens in their precincts to vote and to be counted as Americans with well-defined rights. Californians have even installed illegal aliens into public office.

There are Christians who live under oppressive conditions in Islamist African countries, yet they are often denied immigration access to the West.

We’ve heard many justifications as to why we are importing so many immigrants who refuse to assimilate and change the face and future of many countries:

1.       We have an ageing population – demographics tell us that Western women don’t have enough babies to replace the dying population. The replacement value is truly below what is necessary.

2.       Diversity is important and we are not diverse enough. When is diversity enough? Nobody knows as it is an arbitrary statement invented by the leftist monolith. There are over 200 nationalities in the D.C. area alone. How much more diverse must we be? We already have voting ballots and school curricula in some states in dozens of languages.

3.       Immigration cannot be stopped because of globalization – another concept invented and heavily pushed by the left.

4.       This is not who we are as a country, we are told, trying to excuse the illegal immigration. We are a country of legal immigrants. Many of us claim ancestors who have immigrated to the New World. The difference is that we all assimilated, learned English, and became part of the fabric of America, striving to make it better. We did not complain, demand welfare, special status, or Sharia Law. We swore an oath to the U.S. Constitution and to the maintenance of the Constitutional Republic.  We are not a Democracy and we do not condone mob rule.

5.       The downtrodden are flooding the West for a better life and who are we to stop them? We must spread personal hard-earned wealth with the rest of the world even when they don’t want to work, are staying home, making babies, and plotting to destroy the west. Economically speaking, truly poor people cannot afford to pay the human smugglers in order to bring them illegally to Europe or to the U.S.

6.       Illegals come because, no matter how poor they would be in this country, they would be far richer than in their own countries. It is easy to sneak in, easy to remain permanently and overtly, and safe to stay.

7.       It is very easy to deceive the authorities – illegals bring no papers, they are “undocumented,” they lie about their age, where they came from, and, if they learn that being from a certain country gives them priority at the front of the line, they lie about it as well although they do not speak that country’s language.

8.       The borderless world agenda is heavily promoted by non-governmental organizations (NGOs), flush with funds, sending their useful idiots around to the world to advocate for all migration into the western world. Certain NGOs assist migrants before they make it to Europe or the United States.

9.       Multiculturalism – a failed idea, recognized by some European leaders, but still heavily pushed by the progressive left. Most immigrants fail to integrate into the new society, they want to tear it apart and mold it in the vision of the hellhole they’ve escaped from. They accomplish this by running for office and winning political positions, changing education to indoctrination, changing the host culture to suit their goals, demanding special rights and privileges, and establishing enclaves, countries within countries, where no westerners dare to visit.

10.   Destroying free speech in the host country by labeling it “hate speech” and passing laws to enact fines and jail time for those bold enough to speak freely.

11.   Europeans still believe that a core culture can be maintained in every country even though progressivism has pushed for a multi-racial, multicultural society.

To illustrate that a core culture cannot be maintained, Murray describes the suburb of Saint-Denis on the northern side of Paris, the central location of French history and culture. The Basilica of Saint-Denis contains 3rd century relics of the Bishop of Paris. The cemetery holds the remains of the French royal family – the Capetian dynasty, the Bourbons, the Medicis, and the Merovingians. Tombs were desecrated during the French Revolution but strangely, the King and Queen deposed by the Revolution are buried here, Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette.

“To wander the district of Saint-Denis today is to see a district more resembling North Africa than France. The market square outside the basilica is a souk more than a market. Stalls sell different types of hijab and radical groups hand out literature against the state. Inside, though all the clergy are elderly white men, the residual congregation is black African, part of the non-Muslim wave of immigration into the area from Martinique and Guadeloupe. This area has one of the highest Muslim populations in France. Around 30 percent of the population of Saint-Denis, also known as the 93rd district, are Muslim. No more than 15 percent are Catholic.” (Douglas Murray, The Strange Death of Europe, 2018, pp. 109-110)

12.   They are here, there is nothing we can do about it, and we must give them amnesty, thus encouraging not just family chain migration but also a non-stop future invasion.

13.   “The tyranny of guilt,” coined by Murray, refers to certain victims of immigration such as a child dying of illness in custody of the border patrol or the Turkish child whose body washed up on the European shores. The feeling of guilt and shame at such tragedies have turned the progressive borderless agenda against those who wisely and peacefully advocated against illegal immigration. Somehow, they were guilty of the death of these children.

The general sense around the world has been that we must learn to live with the flood of illegals, they are here to stay, they will never repatriate, and we must adjust to the violence and chaos they cause.

Mark Steyn commented about the heavy security public events in Europe must employ, a statement that supports in a way President Trump’s determination to build a southern border wall, “If free countries have to have unsightly security controls, why don’t they have them around the national borders rather than around every single thing inside those borders?” (Murray, p. 333)

And academia has filled the heads of their students with pipe dreams of Marxism and communism, where everyone’s problems will be solved by the benevolent government.  As T.S. Elliott said, “dreaming of systems so perfect that no one will need to be good” and nobody will have to ever work if they don’t want to. After all, we are told that illegals do the jobs that Americans refuse to do.

Immigrants Should Make America Better, Not Worse

Corey Stewart, PWC Chairman
Wikipedia photo
Prince William County Chairman, Corey Stewart, Republican candidate for Governor of Virginia, said during a press conference, “On behalf of the Board of Supervisors of Prince William County, I’m requesting the Trump administration to identify, detain and remove the 7,500 criminal illegal aliens that we have handed over to ICE over the past 10 years.” According to Stewart, the criminal aliens were handed over by local law enforcement to ICE under a program called 287g. “Of the 7,500, 1,000 have been rearrested.”

A mob of protesters stormed the board meeting on Tuesday, carrying signs in Spanish and English that it did not matter where or how you came from, we are all immigrants and we are all Americans. Speakers who advocate open borders argued that those arrested had not committed a crime and should not have been detained. http://wjla.com/news/local/prince-william-county-residents-speak-out-against-immigration-proposal

The fact that illegal aliens crossed into our country without visas and proper documentation is a crime. The last U.S. Census attributed the large population increase in Prince William County mostly to the illegal alien migration to the county.

Fredy Burgos, a Republican Party activist, posts regularly on Facebook examples of crimes committed daily by illegal aliens in Prince William County. Despite the protesters’ claims that illegals do not commit crimes, reality and police records speak otherwise.

In addition to illegals, counties in Virginia have to deal with the middle of the night surprise of forced resettlement of refugees in small communities that are ill-prepared to handle the influx of uneducated, illiterate, third world individuals who have no skills, do not speak our language, are often unwilling to learn it, do not understand our culture, do not accept it, do not share our religious values, and do not respect nor recognize our Constitution.

Legal immigrants throughout history have made America better by assimilating into one culture, the American culture. Back then there was no welfare state and no welfare generosity and dependency. But today’s immigrants are often here for economic benefits, welfare, and social security thanks to the leftist Open Borders policy. There is no economic boom to struggling communities who are forced to accept such refugees or close their eyes at the massive influx of illegals. In their media-driven narrative, leftists conveniently leave out the cost of welfare use, education of their children, and criminal justice system costs that counties incur in dealing with illegal aliens and refugees.

Looking at just one program, SNAP (food stamps), of the refugees who arrived in 2015, 92.5 percent received food stamps and, of those admitted in 2011, a whopping 60 percent are still receiving SNAP today. Take a trip in northern Virginia to Walmart on the days that SNAP benefits are distributed, and you will see a mass of illegal humanity, speaking languages other than English and wearing burkas and other ethnic costumes. https://www.acf.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/orr/arc_15_final_508.pdf

Our great-grandfathers had arrived here for the opportunity to make a better life for themselves and their families or future families. They had to go through Ellis Island, weeks of quarantine for infectious diseases, and some were even turned away because we wanted to keep the American public safe. And those immigrants, who cleared Ellis Island, worked very hard, built railroads, ports, tunnels, bridges, dams, roads, parks, highways, interstates, skyscrapers, and entire cities. As my good and patriotic Virginian friend had suggested, there should be “no immigration without verification and assimilation.”

Repealing the Open Borders mentality is essential. Becoming a U.S. citizen is a privilege, not a given right. Immigrants should benefit America in some way by bringing in skills and trades that are helpful in strengthening America. Immigrants must be an asset to our country, not a liability. Nobody should become a burden by drawing from our welfare system and from our social security funds built up by American workers who contributed with every paycheck into these funds. Taking social security funds without contributing to them is theft from the American people.

Given all the violent Islamist attacks on American citizens in the last years, we cannot afford to trust blindly, we must verify immigrants’ ulterior motives. “Can they prove that they are who they say they are? Can they prove that they are not criminal? What is their intent in becoming an American?”

Even though leftists claim that the demand to assimilate is “fascistic,” assimilation is necessary for numerous reasons:

1.       Do the potential immigrants’ world views match the views of our founding documents?

2.       Do potential immigrants intend to become Americans, or are they just drawing financial benefits, taking advantage of our American compassionate nature and generosity?

3.       Will they protect and defend the Constitution and support American independence and sovereignty?

4.       As Dr. Savage says, will they support our “language, borders, and culture?”

5.       Are they interested in subverting America’s power, authority, and institutions with the intent of dividing our great nation?

6.       Do they understand what it takes to be an American?

7.       Do they want to be productive citizens?

We stand with legal immigrants who came before us and with those millions who are still awaiting the disposition of their backlogged files, immigrants who want to come to the United States legally, but live too far away. To now skip them and instead allow law breakers, border jumpers, and fence climbers to become American citizens is a slap in the face of every formerly legal resident alien who became naturalized American citizens after waiting years and years, meandering through legal hoops, learning history and civics, passing citizenship readiness tests, proving that they have what it takes to become an American, a privilege earned, not a right.

America welcomes legal immigrants with open arms and generosity but, if there is ever any doubt, after proper and thorough vetting, then, as my Virginian friend had suggested, “when in doubt, leave them out,” they don’t have what it takes to become an American.

Trump's Wall

President Trump proposed a 20 percent tariff on imports from Mexico in order to pay for the wall he plans to build on the southern border. It is assumed that the 20 percent tariff is a negotiating starting point. A tariff is a tax on imports which will make a product more expensive and favor domestically produced goods over imports, while raising revenue for the government of our country.
Tariffs were a major government revenue source during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries but today we are a low tariff country, with a few exceptions. Other countries protect their domestic industries by charging heavy tariffs and some as much as 100 percent.

A tariff helps those companies and countries that can supply goods most cheaply, presumably because they are more efficient, but some governments provide their companies with export subsidies in order to allow them to reduce the selling price of their goods on foreign markets.

Dan Lombard argued that “a 3% transit tax over three years would pay for a wall.” Infuriated by the economically illiterate commentators who claim that the tariff would be passed on entirely to the consumer, Lombard said that a $700 washing machine crosses the border with a price tag of $400, but time transit charges, warehousing expenses, sales commissions, overhead markup, and profit are added onto the $400 price, pricing the washer at $700 but the tariff is applied onto the $400 price tag. Customers will pay a certain amount more for that brand produced in Mexico but the company that makes the washing machine “will absorb the cost as the price of doing business.”

According to government trade data, Mexico exported $295 billion worth of goods to the U.S. in 2015: autos (74 billion), electrical machinery (63 billion), machinery (49 billion), agricultural products (21 billion), fuels (14 billion), plastics (17 billion), optical and medical instruments (12 billion).  In the agricultural products category Mexico exported to the U.S. corn, soybeans, dairy products, pork and pork products, beef and beef products.  https://ustr.gov/countries-regions/americas/mexico

On January 27, 2017, President Trump tweeted that “Mexico has taken advantage of the U.S. for long enough. Massive trade deficits and little help on the very weak border must change, NOW!”

A trade deficit with Mexico is the excess of our imports over exports. U.S. goods trade deficit with Mexico was $58 billion in 2015 and U.S. services trade surplus with Mexico in 2015 was $9.2 billion. Mexico was the third largest supplier of goods to the U.S. in 2014 and supplied services in transportation, travel, and intellectual property (software). https://ustr.gov/countries-regions/americas/mexico

U.S. foreign investment in Mexico totaled $107.8 billion in 2014 by nonbank holding companies, manufacturing, and finance/insurance.

Texas Congressman Louis Gohmert told Fox News that billions of dollars had been appropriated for a virtual wall on the southern border during the Bush administration but Janet Napolitano disregarded Congress and “we let her get away with disobeying the law.”  http://investmentwatchblog.com/funds-already-appropriated-for-wall-its-going-to-happen/

According to the Daily Caller, “The transition team is planning big spending negotiations with Congress, which will include money for the wall.” President Trump “plans to make Mexico pay for the wall directly or indirectly by increasing fees on visas and border crossing cards, enforcing trade tariffs and taxing money transfers abroad.” The pre-cast concrete wall will be 35-50 feet tall, costing an estimated $8-$12 billion. Of the 2,000 mile border with Mexico, 650 miles are already fenced and illegals have no problem climbing the existing barrier. http://dailycaller.com/2016/11/10/trumps-plan-for-the-wall-on-the-mexican-border-materializes/

It is obvious to any traveler that Mexico must repair their own country and must stop using the United States as their social security blanket at the expense of American taxpayers. Drug cartels operate across the border back and forth unimpeded, and illegals send home billions of dollars of untaxed money to Mexico.

As many have suggested, a tax should be levied on money wired to Mexico via Western Union, Money Gram, etc. On the average, money wires are only charged a service fee of $10.99 to transfer a few hundred dollars.

Most illegals, who do work hard and long hours, request to be paid in cash which means that they evade paying state and federal income taxes, Social Security taxes, etc.  At the same time, they benefit from our free medical care and other forms of welfare. As they consume goods and services in this country, they do pay sales taxes.

Some Illegals pay tax via ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) also known as W7. The earned income tax credit they receive based on reported income on W7 is far greater than the actual state and federal taxes they pay. Some even claim children who are not even theirs or do not reside in the United States. Tax refunds amount to $4.2 billion according to a 2011 audit by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration. http://www.forbes.com/sites/robertwood/2015/08/20/trump-bashes-4-billion-in-irs-refunds-to-illegals/#4945c4de7025

Let’s assume that the 11 million illegal aliens that apparently have not grown in numbers in 20 years since the MSM has championed their cause, send home south of the border $1,000 per month, a sum total of one billion untaxed income earned while illegally in the U.S., a cool $12 billion a year. Some may send less, some may send more. To save money, several illegals rent one apartment and use one common van as transportation. The money sent to Mexico support their families left behind for years and helps them save for building a nice home.

Michael Savage made the argument on his radio show that you cannot and should not deport law-abiding illegals (although when they cross the border of another country illegally, technically they are not law-abiding), that only criminal illegal aliens should be deported. Quoting data from the Government Accountability Office, 25 percent of the prison population is made up of illegal aliens and “criminal illegal aliens are arrested on the average 7 times.” https://www.numbersusa.org/pages/incarcerated-illegal-aliens-0

One of the reasons Savage cited for not deporting “law-abiding” illegals was that many work diligently and very hard in construction and in restaurants. “Who is going to wash the dishes,” he asked rhetorically. “And who is going to pick the crops? You?” This argument is weak as humans no longer need to pick crops, there are machines that can pick any kind of crop – back-breaking manual labor is no longer necessary. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6VKBb9MmJc

The assumption is also made that millions of low-skilled Americans who are unemployed are either too educated for the job, lazy, or are unwilling to work in the restaurant business or construction industry.

But, for every illegal alien who is gainfully employed, if they are not here alone, he has a wife and children at home who are dependent on Medicaid and some or all of the thirteen U.S. Welfare Programs, costing American taxpayers plenty. And anchor babies make their parents eligible to stay in the U.S. and eventually the extended family.

-          Negative income Tax (Earned Income Tax Credit or EITC, and the Child Tax Credit)

-          SNAP (food program, formerly food stamps, but is now a debit card which is often abused)

-          Housing assistance

-          SSI (cash to low-income individuals)

-          Pell Grants (up to $5,500 in grants to students from low-income households)

-          TANF (cash for individuals moving from welfare to work)

-          Child nutrition

-          Head Start (pre-school program to low-income families)

-          Job training programs

-          WIC (healthy food to pregnant women and children up to five years of age)

-          Child care (block grants to states and private agencies who administer child care programs to low-income families)

-          LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program for heating and cooling)

-          Lifeline (Obama Phone) – discounted phone service to low-income individuals.

Savage argued that Americans must tread lightly in withdrawing these benefits to Mexicans as it would destabilize their economy and would create a vacuum of financial support of the population, leaving it open perhaps to a country like China to become the Big Brother provider which might not be in the best interest of the United States.

Even though Democrats and their leftist cohorts are lobbying against the southern border wall, and shrieking that it cannot be built, that it is inhumane, that it is being escalated anyway, that it would take a long time to build, and states like Texas, California, and New Mexico are rightfully Mexico’s anyway, they build tall security armed fences around their mansions and properties. The wall worked for China and it works for Israel. A former Mexican president even went as far as saying that Mexico is wherever there are Mexicans. However, if anyone crosses their borders illegally, they go straight to jail.

"Stop the Coming Civil War" Book Review

In his bestselling book, “Stop the Coming Civil War,” Michael Savage makes a well-documented argument for the multi-faceted war waged by this administration on our borders, language, culture, the U.S. military, the middle class, our health care, civil rights, science, schools, and our allies.

In his opinion, depending on one’s political views, the point of no return has been reached with the NSA spying program, with the release of terrorists from Guantanamo Bay without congressional input, or with the purposeful flood of illegal aliens into the United States.

Because this administration uses so adroitly the politics of race and class warfare, Americans are ever more divided and racially polarized. Consequently, our national security, freedom, and survival are threatened on many fronts.
“Desiring to control us from inception to death, from womb to tomb,” Savage predicts that our nation will eventually “snap” from the controlling pressure exercised on what we do, eat, drink, think, learn, speak, read, and write. (p. 15)

Facing a constant assault on our “borders, language, and culture,” Savage explains that “we’ve become a post-Constitutional society,” in the most perilous position since the 1860s, a “culture of statelessness and corruption.” He compares our nation with a “tinderbox” ready to ignite. In his opinion, the bi-partisan rule from Washington is based on “greed and hunger for power of a crony oligarchy, not the rule of law.” (pp. 16-17)

Opining that the suspension of the filibuster rule by Harry Reid enabled the dismissal of legal challenges to the (un) Affordable Care Act and the eventual destruction of the best health care system in the world, Savage laments the fact that the rest of America seems to live in peace, unperturbed by “subterranean rumblings” caused by:

-          The fact that health care has become “the industry of the haves-versus-the-have-nots” (p. 20)

-          “Hostile takeover of Americans’ formerly private information” (p. 22)

-          America is losing its position as the world’s superpower (p. 23)

-          Lack of patriotism and nationalism (p. 24)

-          Collapse of the military, the economy, and culture (p. 24)

The “once righteous and heroic America” is replaced “with a leftist government defined by immorality and greed.” (p. 31)

A true patriot and son of a legal immigrant from Russia, Savage wants to put a stop to the corporate debasement of our “most cherished possession: our pride in our country.” (p. 31)

War on Culture, Language, and Borders

Savage describes how the war on our culture, language, and borders evolved from the liberal “humane” enforcement of immigration laws which released criminal aliens on our streets. (p. 28)

Illegal immigrants are not here to chase the American dream, said Savage, they are here to “game the system” and strip hard-working Americans of their wealth and establish a fundamentally transformed America that resembles the hell-hole they’ve escaped. Savage describes the President’s Dreamers as a “living nightmare.” (p. 34)

Savage explains that the war on our culture, on Christians, on women, on men, on children, on minorities, and on the rule of law is expanded to include the introduction of cultural Marxism, a war on morality, allowing and promoting “polymorphous sexuality” and “hedonism.” (p. 40)

Communist professor Herbert Marcuse’s 1960s slogan, “Make love, not war,” has become in our current time, said Savage, “Make love, not money.”

Government dependency, perennial poverty, metro sexuality, and a distrust of strong males are “foundational components of leftist values,” Savage explains.  Neutralizing the male population and disempowering the military assure success of the leftist agenda. (p. 43)

Savage continues, “A strong man is the very emblem of the democratic capitalism’s evil power.” The war on masculinity is thus justified. (p. 47)

Savage enumerates some of the agents that contribute to the degradation of our society: cultural elites, Planned Parenthood, Center for American Progress, Think Progress, FCC, “researchers” policing our newsrooms, and political leftists opposing Christians everywhere.

Even though English is the “official language of the world,” Savage laments politicians who are “too weak-kneed, to make English the official language of the U.S.” (p. 55)

War on the Military

In his opinion, the war on our military is waged by a man who “would speak loudly and carry a limp stick.” Some of Savage’s examples include:

-          VA denying appointments to veterans in dire need of health care

-          Neutering our missile defense and military cuts (p. 64)

-          Firing of generals in wartime, a rare occurrence, Savage said, including those connected to the “Benghazi murders” (pp. 64-71)

-          Appointing “handpicked military officers to second-in-command positions” in order to report on their superiors (p. 72)

-          Lowering physical standards to help women “succeed” in the name of “equality of sexes” (p. 79)

War on the Middle Class

Savage, in his inimitable way of connecting the dots of seemingly unrelated events, compares the current war on the middle class with the capture by the Union forces of New Orleans, a shipping point for Confederate forces who helped them fund the war.

Savage sees a parallel between the economy of the Civil War and today’s economy. Economics and political power played a very important role in both. Slavery was the “rallying cry” for the Civil War, but economic and political power was the underlying cause. Savage said that five times as many wealthy men were found in the North as had been thirty years earlier. The wealth built in the nineteenth century was based on real manufacturing and trade. Today two thousand plus billionaires have increased their wealth with electronic money creation, not something tangible. (p. 104)

Savage aptly describes the stagnant economy as a “trapdoor economy through which more and more middle class Americans have dropped into poverty.” (p. 87)

This stagnant economy was created by:

-          Zero “stimulus” interest rates set by the Fed and disappearing savings (p. 91)

-          13,000 new regulations

-          Robbing the middle class through taxation to bail out the “biggest and most corrupt banks in the world” (p. 88)

-          Fed’s quantitative easings, “nothing short of robbery,” printing $4 trillion dollars backed by a “hollow full faith and credit” in government, a sort of “Confederate counterfeit money” (pp. 90-93)

Savage explains how seventy percent of U.S. stock market trading is rigged by allowing robots to do high-frequency trading in nanno-seconds, permitting market manipulation and centralization of wealth. (p. 97)

America is now a permanent welfare state and poverty is at an all-time high. Raising the minimum wage will exacerbate poverty and increase welfare recipients, while the winner, JPMorgan Chase, will benefit $560 million by processing Electronic Benefit Transfer cards (p. 102)

The middle class is adversely affected by the excessively printed and devalued dollar and the loss of its role as “reserve currency” and “petro dollar.”

The middle class is plagued by an increasing misery index, a decreasing freedom index, rising food and energy prices, the Pope’s war on free markets and capitalism, and prioritizing climate change politics over job creation.

War on Medicine

Savage talks about the war on medicine, unleashed by Obamacare, a Castro style medicine provided by government-controlled, single payer care like Venezuela. Green Mountain Care in Vermont makes a good example of a single payer system that spends $2 billion a year on health care, the entire tax revenue of the State of Vermont, a behemoth that lawmakers want to repeal. (p. 118)

Savage points out that Obamacare is so ill-conceived, non-generic drugs are not covered. Generic drug prices will go up as demand will go up. When less people will afford generic drugs, pharmacies will go broke. Healthy people will enjoy free annual visits. Sick people with cancer should put their affairs in order. (p. 123)

War on Civil Rights

Savage says that the war on civil rights includes attacks and bans on gun ownership, benefits to illegal aliens, irrelevance of the rule of law because of excessive regulations and executive orders, DOJ’s denial of civil rights to whites, auditing of conservative groups and people such as True the Vote and James O’Keefe, auditing of whistle blowers, and lack of convictions for white collar crimes. (pp. 162-163)

War on Science

The war on science centers on climate change. Savage devotes chapter 8 to the global warming debacle, focusing on some of the individual players in the ongoing deception.

-          Ottmar Edenhofer admitted that “global warming is nothing more than a  political issue” that “undermines the ‘science’ that the left invented to justify global warming” (p. 182)

-          Christina Figueres, “the climate change chief of the U.N.” thinks that China is “the ideal model for government’s role in fighting climate change  (p. 183)

-          Al Gore - Savage calls him “the global warming debate team captain” (p. 184)

Calling the EPA, “the Environmental Pilferage Agency, Savage describes it as one of the most corrupt agencies in modern American history, … its only rival is the IRS.” (p. 188)

The real cost of our climate change policy, Savage says, is the cost of expensive and bankrupt solar and wind energy, animal and bird casualties, huge cost of conversion, subsidies, and damage to human health.

Fracking is a success story. Energy production has been hindered by Obama’s non-approval of the XL Keystone pipeline from Canada.

Savage explains solar flares and volcanic activity in relationship to climate change. The NASA and NOAA reports were described by the MIT scientists as sinking to the level of “hilarious incoherence.” (p. 199)

War on Schools

The war on schools is the war to dumb down our students with the standards of Common Core. Savage talks about “outcome based education” developed in Chicago and the college textbook publishing which has “degenerated into a racket.” (p. 206)

Savage criticizes the fact that “Colleges foster the physical separation of people into racial, ethnic, and cultural groups, a purposeful result.” (p. 211)

At some point, the education bubble of $1 trillion, “thirty-three percent of all ‘subprime student loans’ are more than 90 days overdue,” is going to burst. (p. 212)

Graduates with worthless degrees, “parroting leftist platitudes,” can only find minimum wage jobs for which they are overqualified,” said Savage. (p. 213)

Savage sees the “brick and mortar universities as “debt-ridden gulags of biased, agenda-driven indoctrination.” (p. 213)

Savage believes that schools indoctrinate students into leftist thinking and “separate the youth of our nation from their parents and other Americans who grew up when the Constitution meant something.” (p. 221)

War on Our Allies

The war on our allies chapter explains the “Arab Winter,” the situation in Libya, Syria, Israel, the reality in Ukraine, and how our foreign policy of supporting radical factions in Ukraine that overthrew a duly elected president, has re-ignited the Cold War with Putin’s Russia. Savage succinctly colors the chaotic political situation with a masterful stroke, “We’re seeing American foreign policy at its nadir.” (p. 249)

Savage, a student of history and occasionally a mythological Cassandra, ends his book with incisive advice acquired from experience during his twenty years on radio, in-depth research, scholarly endeavors, 28 books, advanced degrees, a doctorate from Berkeley, and an uncanny ability to see and articulate the truth with clarity in a world drowning in deception and misinformation. “We are the equivalent of the anticommunists who fought Stalin,” he said. (p. 251)

As he sees it, the lines have been drawn in the sand:

-          “The haves against the have-nots”

-          “The illegal aliens against hard-working middle-class families”

-          “Liberals who hate the Second Amendment versus lawful gun owners…”

-           Climate militants against “deniers”

-          “Anti-Christian communist educators against God-fearing families”

-          “Republicans against patriots” (p. 252)

We are becoming global citizens of a global community which is nothing but global communism. “We are becoming the Union of Soviet States of America: the USSA,” Savage warns.

Michael Savage’s book is a documented caveat and a strong plea, a wake-up call to the American people before the 2014 elections, our last chance to right the Ship of State.
