“We Are Serving the Working People”

It appears that America’s youth are turning collectivist and the ranks are swelling by the day with help from the accommodating indoctrinators called educators and Howard Zinn’s textbooks bastardizing history and Common Core standards of lower education now nine years old and covering most of America’s schools. Academics has taken a back seat to progressive activism 101.
Old progressives, simmering and stewing for the decades, and their young converts are working feverishly to squelch Individual freedom, private property, and limited government. They used to be the tenets of our society but now, the generations attached at the hip to their blue light electronic devices, provided by free market capitalism, have decided that socialism suits them better. Social Democrats, as they call themselves now, have promised so many phony pie in the sky freebies that they cannot resist the urge to fundamentally transform their parents’ America which is now passé.

They want economic justice, a harmonious society with no strife, prosperity for all, a society in which nobody has to work if they don’t want to. Somehow, in this socialist utopia, everyone has a perfect work ethic and is absolutely altruistic and generous to a fault, giving their time, wealth, success, and money to be spread evenly among the non-producers who just want to chill in their parents’ basements and smoke free marijuana provided by the benevolent state.
In this utopia they learned from their teachers in school, there is no misery, no repression, no materialism, no jails, no death of liberty, just kumbaya equality and free drugs. Except those at the top will be in charge and “serving the working people” just like the politicians of today who are serving the electorate, especially the illegal electorate from terrorist countries inimical to us.

If you ask millennials what kind of society they want to inhabit, according to a 2016 Gallup poll, 44% want to live under socialism. They have no idea what socialism is, cannot define it correctly, but they describe themselves as socialists.
Do they understand that socialism suppresses individuality, forces collectivism, causes mass starvation, imprisons people with divergent ideas in labor camps, herds them off their properties into high rise cinder block apartments, nationalizes all industries, and confiscates all private property and wealth?

To millennials, oppressive regimes, mass starvation, people kept in nation-prisons with borders made of barbed-wire fence are just stories in a textbook nobody believes. Have they had to fear any such oppressive regimes in their lifetimes? To them, it is just old people fearmongering, they call it the “new McCarthyism.”
Their mantra is, let’s just go and embrace more illegals and Muslims in order to show that we are good little socialists and then plaster car bumpers with the meaningless “coexist” stickers when everyone knows how well that is playing out in Africa and the Middle East between Christians and Muslims.

Young generations of Americans want free education, free healthcare, free daycare, free housing, daddy government-guaranteed jobs, everything that the Democrat Party includes in their socialist platform of the openly socialist candidates like Bernie Sanders.
Millennials know-it-alls want what Scandinavian and other European countries have. They have seen in travel brochures that everyone seems happy, have a lot of free time, work much less than Americans, and drugs are free and legal. They don’t understand that these countries allow private property, they had a capitalist foundation, were economically wealthy before they adopted generous welfare for all, and now their governments are socialist in nature. The government does not own the means of production and they are not totalitarian regimes. But their socialist leanings, tolerance, and failed multiculturalism have created unsustainable societies which are now grappling with serious issues of existentialism, threatened by the alien and inimical cultures they’ve invited in and that are now taking over parts of their countries.

The white-washing of socialism cannot be ignored. Venezuela’s situation is slapping millennials in the face if they care to look. Redistribution of wealth and government ownership of the means of production have failed miserably in the Soviet Union and all its communist satellites.
Centralized-government controlled by the Communist Party has not worked because the economic model is not feasible. Look at the latest victims, the population of Venezuela who kept voting socialism until it destroyed their lives. A formerly prosperous nation with huge oil reserves, Venezuelans have chronic shortages of water, toilet paper, diapers, electricity, medicines, food, and other basic staples. It is so bad that people eat garbage and animals from the zoo.

These young Americans have never heard the term “goner” (Dokhodyaga), a hard labor camp slang for a Soviet prisoner “who was so exhausted by work and wasted by disease that he had little time left to live.” Their standard form of address in the labor camp was, “How are you serving?” and the expected answer was, “I serve the working people.” They had copied it from the from of address between officers and men in the Soviet Army. (Alexander Solzhenitsyn, A Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, Frederick A. Praeger Publisher, 1963)
As Robert B. Charles said, “Today, Laos, North Vietnam (former), Cuba, Afghanistan, Benin, Cambodia, North Korea, Somalia, and South Yemen remain the most impoverished countries in the world, war-torn, repressive, reflexively imprisoning political critics. Venezuela is a basket case. China’s re-education camps, currently holding millions of Chinese (for religious convictions) are a hallmark of socialism, and of atheist China.” (AMAC magazine, vol. 13, issue 1, p. 41)

The rebranding of “old socialism” as “Democratic socialism” is just an attempt by politicians like Bernie Sanders to browbeat new and young converts to socialism, the same redistributionism of private property and enslavement to the totalitarian state. If we accept it, it will lead to America’s collapse. I should know, I escaped such a failed totalitarian state. The population is still struggling today to rebuild their lives and overcome decades of forced conformity, oppression, and miserable equality.

Collectivism and Social Engineering

Photo: Ileana Johnson 2015
A friend asked me recently if I found any similarities between the collectivist Home Owners Association (HOA) in the U.S. and living in communist Romania in cinder block apartments the size of the average hotel room.  We did have a different HOA in these reinforced concrete high rises, the Residents’ Association (Asociatia Locatarilor). Its governing board was chosen from the least outspoken residents who sometimes doubled as informers to the Security Police, reporting on the comings and goings of the residents and on their political statements made accidentally in ordinary conversations with neighbors.

The Residents’ Association decided when the water heaters were to be serviced, what kind of cold and hot water schedule we were going to follow, how much heat we received from the government mother ship, how much any repairs would cost, and how the due bills were to be divided evenly between all families, if the association would pay the electric bill for some widow who was behind on her dues, which mechanic they were going to hire to fix whatever was broken in the apartment complex.

In the egalitarian utopia, the total bill was to be split equally between all families, regardless of how many people lived in one apartment. Some had children, some lived alone and the consumption was vastly different but the contribution share had to be equal. It was similar at work; no matter how little effort a person put in, they were paid the same. The incentive died quickly when people realized effort and extra work did not count. But everyone expected that 13th salary at the end of the year – a bonus that few people deserved.

Residents had to take turns to sweep the hallways and the street surrounding the apartment complex. Forced volunteer work beautified the surroundings with flowers, grass, bushes, and trees, all with money from the residents.

The HOAs here are actually associations that residents willingly sign into in order to purchase or build a home. Those who volunteer for the board and are actually voted in are either busy-bodies, residents who like to be in charge, in control over “minions,” or those home owners who expect something in return or get a high from controlling other people and telling them what to do and how to do things with their own homes and properties.

HOAs were initially sold to home owners as a way to instill a sense of community, of belonging, for protection, and to preserve property values. I fail to see how paying a fee each month to maintain the club house and the swimming pool for the neighborhood children increases my property’s value when I try to sell it. The way I see it, the only benefits derived to me is garbage pickup and snow removal when that actually happens.

The HOA certainly does not deter crime nor protect the neighborhood even though they park a “security” car by the club house. It is a neighborhood joke as more and more cars are broken into and sometimes even stolen, and people robbed at gun point in the dog park. Crime has spiked since the Obama regime increased the number of illegals and refugees forcibly inserted into peaceful communities. Obama was determined to reengineer how we lived because we were not diverse, inclusive, and multicultural enough.

The covenant rules are so detailed that most contracts look like a huge tome. They tell us what color to paint homes, fences, mailboxes, whether we can or cannot grow vegetables, plant a bush, put an antenna on the house, build a deck, a gazebo, a patio, whether we can park our cars in the driveway, in the street, put up Christmas decorations, fly the American flag, etc.

Americans have lost homes because they did not comply with the strict HOA rules, were fined, refused to pay the fines, and were eventually evicted by courts from their own homes which were then sold in order to recoup the escalating fines.

Florida Third District Court of Appeals ruled that homeowners don’t have the right to grow vegetables on their own properties. It is acceptable to grow grass but not something to eat. http://www.truthandaction.org/court-rules-citizens-dont-have-right-grow-veggies-on-their-own-properties/

In Colorado, one unfortunate family eventually lost their home and the husband’s good health after protracted and costly legal battles with their HOA because they had dared to complain about the neighbor’s dogs barking non-stop in the very adjacent home to their own bedroom window. It begs the question why builders would place a home so close to another. However, if we follow the development of property rights in this country and the Smart Growth policy promoted by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) among others, we understand the world- wide U.N. Agenda 2030 which endorses tiny homes and small spaces, and denigrates suburbia as urban sprawl.

Some HOAs encourage and promote aggressive politics. In Reston, Virginia, a hotbed of uber-liberalism, yard signs appeared that read, “Hate Has No Home Here,” implying, of course, that, unless you agree with their liberal politics, you are a “hater.” https://lesfemmes-thetruth.blogspot.com/2017/11/have-you-seen-hate-has-no-home-here.html#more

As Tom DeWeese recently wrote, “Rail trails, walkable communities, complete streets, to help build ‘strong communities’ are all part of the grand NAR vision for America’s glorious future. Its vision of utopia – a beautiful, well-controlled community of high rises where shopping and jobs are within biking or walking distance or a quick ride on a quaint trolley. Wind turbines turn lazily in the background to supply all energy needs. There are no dirty smokestacks, no cars, no parking problems, no gridlock, and no sprawl. According to the vision, everyone is living in complete harmony.” https://www.thenewamerican.com/reviews/opinion/item/19850-private-property-rights-and-socialism-do-not-mix

Moving people into tiny apartments, most the size of a hotel room or a jail cell is a “chic” trend presented as a desirable option for someone who cannot afford a mortgage or rent on a decently sized apartment. Who wants to assemble and disassemble their furniture every day in order to have living space for different activities during the day?

One can rent an apartment in New York the size of a closet, 90 square ft., or a 250 square ft. apartment in California. You can call it the euphemistic term, “minimalism,” but we should call it what it is, forced social engineering into high-rise apartments.  But it’s worse in Japan, where rent is calculated in some highly desirable areas by the square inch.

To promote micro-living and sell the idea to Americans who like to live in normal sized homes, United Tiny House Association even has festivals around the country. http://unitedtinyhouse.com/

One can have a 128-square ft. apartment in Hong Kong but, if the rent is too high for you, you can opt for a sixteen-square ft. “micro-unit,” wire-mesh cages stacked on top of each other, where bed bugs are part of the package. The rent is cheap, about $167 per month. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/wealthy-hong-kong-poorest-live-metal-cages-article-1.1258661

I lived through this kind of controlled utopia under communism. The only people who rented or owned luxurious living spaces and expensive cars where the communist party apparatchiks. The Iron Curtain countries were among the most polluted countries in the world. The communists had no regard for human life, water, soil, or the air we breathed.  And we certainly could not go very far just by bikes, buses, and trains. What a fantastic way to control the comings and goings of the entire population, every aspect of their lives!

Kevin Williamson wrote in Politically Incorrect Guide to Socialism, “By the time the Soviet government collapsed, fully one-sixth of Russia’s territory had been rendered uninhabitable because of pollution and other environmental devastation.”

I still remember as a child the oil slicks in most of the creeks and rivers running through my hometown or the neighboring villages and the pungent smell of petroleum by-products coming from most lakes and bodies of water. When we hanged laundry to dry on the balcony, by the afternoon the clothes had a tinge of greyish powder which had deposited from the polluted air.

We had to travel to the mountains by train, sixty miles or so to escape the industrial pollution of my hometown and to breathe fresh air, that’s how little regard the Communist Party planners had for the environment and for what they were doing to our health.

We did not have a Declaration of Independence, all humans were not “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights,” we had whatever rights and responsibilities the dear leader said we had. The communist government had no limits on the power they had over each individual citizen.

The dear leader was always right and, if the minions dared to question or complain about anything, they became dispensable “units”. That is why 100 million people were killed in various communist regimes.

It rankles me when I see Millennials wearing Che Guevara and Mao t-shirts, while arguing that socialism is great. The numerous countries where socialism and communism were utter failures have done it all wrong, but, if they have a chance, they will do it the right way. If you ask them what the right way is, they stare stupidly into the camera like a deer in the headlights because they have no idea.

The communist party and their social engineers had moved many people off their small farms, confiscated their lands for co-operative farms and moved them into towns in high-rise apartments with elevators in some that stayed broken a lot of the time while others had none. The apparatchiks leveled their farm homes and forced the villagers to work in the fields for an equal share of the crop regardless of effort, with the communist party getting their lion’s share of each crop.

The elites of the party and their underlings occupied the beautiful villas they confiscated from those they considered part of the bourgeoisie, after they threw them in jail and left their families destitute to fend for themselves while their loved ones served as much as decades in hard labor camps for no fault of their own other than the fact that they inherited a piece of private property.

Private property is what gives us freedom yet the Marxist propaganda machine vilified anyone who owned something more than the next person. Uncle Paul served seven years for such offense and luckily survived but his family became destitute. The late Dr. Petrasovich was sentenced to 17 years of hard labor in a lead mine because he had a villa in the fashionable mountain resort of Sinaia. He survived his incarceration as well and was able to immigrate to the U.S.

Marxism indoctrinated its followers into the idea that humans, after intense forced education, will willingly give up their private property and thus forever eliminate economic inequalities that “allegedly created class conflict.”

Using force, Marxists tried to reengineer human nature, to force people to change the historical tendency to own land, whether be it through families, tribes, or individuals.  But they failed miserably. Humans are not that altruistic to give up everything in the name of “social justice,” a pie in the sky concept devised to entice the newbies to adopt the Marxist philosophy.

The desire to acquire and accumulate private property throughout one’s life and pass it on to heirs is an intrinsic part of our human psyche. Why else would we save for a rainy day, acquire land, real estate, why do we collect, and, in the more extreme cases, why do we hoard certain things?

Forcibly nationalizing industries, confiscating any private property, land, homes, paintings, jewelry, bank accounts, cash, cars, tractors and other farm implements, and distributing them to communist officials loyal to the dear leader was a recipe for disaster which expressed itself in the declining productivity, theft, and turning the citizenry into wards of the state, dependent on government for their daily existence and survival. The change was so drastic that, after many years of communist exploitation, people would wait on the government to tell them what to do next, that’s how brainwashed they were. Any incentive and motivation to do better, to do more that would benefit society too was dead.

Friedrich Hayek said that citizens motivated by the possibility of wealth, worked harder and beyond their immediate needs, thus bringing other benefits to society at large. Communist apparatchiks have used deception, coercion, and force to translate their goals into action. If millions who stood in the way or questioned anything had to die in the process, that was just collateral damage in the quest of utopian communism.

As we had constant shortages of everything because communists were not good at all at centralized economic planning, the people were turned into slaves to the state and as such, they became more materialistic and avaricious, hoarding in excess of what they needed. The communist party solution was not to improve economic planning using the free market supply and demand, but to adopt laws that punished hoarders, to institute the financial police, more rationing via coupons, and laws that prescribed how much each person could consume in calories per day.

People started stealing from their work and traded with others in order to meet their survival needs. If the state did not respect their property rights and stole everything they had owned, why should they respect the government’s property even though the state kept telling them, you are the collective owners of the means of production, if you steal, you are stealing from yourselves. They knew better, they had no claim to anything surrounding them, it was not their private property to be had, and it belonged to the communist party elites who could take whatever they wanted or needed.

The non-conformists such as my dad were silenced. People lost self-reliance – they had seen too many times when initiative was treated as a crime, so they started waiting to be ordered what to do next. The work ethic died quickly and the sense of civic and public responsibility disappeared as well. As an example, people would wait in their own homes while mounds of snow or mud were cutting off any possibility of egress from their village to the rest of the world. If an earthquake struck and people were buried alive, they also waited for officials to dig them out.

Dennis Praeger remarked that “socialism teaches its citizens to expect everything, even if they contribute nothing… they have a plethora of rights and few corresponding obligations.” Many citizens in Romania objected to being taxed after the “fall” of communism in 1989 and many still do today.

The rapacious materialism bred by communism translated into less charitable acts. Non socialists tend to donate much more to their fellow man in need. Socialists may donate to family but much less to others in need, they expect the state to do it all. We can see that in Democrat politicians today who are very generous with other people’s money. Margaret Thatcher said that socialism was great until they ran out of other people’s money.

How Did We Get Here?

How did our society get where we are today? Where did this profound hatred, disrespect for authority, for the rule of law, disdain for their own country, utter laziness, entitlement, anarchy, and anti-Americanism come from, especially in the younger generations who shape the future of our country?

There is no simplistic answer. The default answer is always horrible parenting or lack thereof. Parents spend less and less time with their progeny as the government takes over their education at a very early age, or are in need of behavioral reeducation themselves. Older fathers with pony tails and mothers who should be going through menopause are raising terror children who have never been spanked or made to behave like normal, rational human beings. They scream in restaurants and public places at hours when they should be in bed while the parents try to talk to them in a calm voice to the exasperation of everyone around them, trying to enjoy themselves while celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, interrupted by howling brats.

Parents and society no longer permit children to fail because it might destroy a fragile and pampered self-esteem. Competition is bad for their overinflated egos so they give everyone a participation trophy. Grading, achievement, and excellence are downplayed as destroyers of the darlings’ explosive psyche; they are so smart in their own minds, they will someday be president.

Johnny is allowed most outrageous behaviors without any consequence because he is exploring. If a teacher tries to punish their ‘stellar’ child, parents march to school and threaten the principal with lawsuits, the teacher in question is reprimanded verbally and in writing, and Johnny receives an apology that it will never happen again. The teacher will not dare give him a zero for cheating because, after all, “the teacher told them it was just fine to cheat on a test if they can get away with it and have spent precious time learning how to do it.” If you think that is outlandish, think again.

The non-stop racial strife and bigoted speeches about the Civil War and slavery coming from Obama’s White House, as if it happened yesterday and still does, from his Secretary of State, and other “public servants” and Democrat politicians feeding at the taxpayer trough were also substantial contributors.

Then there is the non-stop “settled” faux science discourse and U.N. conferences and accords about global warming now turned into a lucrative climate change industry coming from the billionaires of crony capitalism, from Hollywood, third world nations, and interested NGOs.

Let’s not forget the never-ending preaching about social justice and environmental justice coming from the Vatican and other affluent elites even though none of them have volunteered to part with one scintilla of their wealth and to redistribute it to the poor.

Life-long career politicians who came into office financially comfortable but leave as millionaires are not redistributing their suspicious wealth either; they are giving away other people’s money, the hard-earned taxes from the middle class which they constantly try to destroy with their policies.

We got here today with the help from tenured academia and their lessons, from the vaunted halls of indoctrination where both black and white progressive educators teach their students that they must “obliterate white people” and destroy their “white privilege” in order to end the imagined fantasy of oppression of black people. No mention is made of daily crimes committed by black people against black people in cities like Chicago and Detroit or the lack of representation black people suffer in their districts in which they keep reelecting representatives like Maxine Watters.

This profound hatred is ginned up 24/7 by cable faux news and alphabet soup channels that invite guests to trash conservatives, white people, the police, “deplorables” who voted for Trump, and to express their disdain for our President. There is a constant search for skeletons in Trump’s closet and manufactured news, invented on the premise of ‘she said, he said to a third source who saw, heard,  or read something’ but there is no factual evidence whatsoever to back up the claim.

Scores of imbecilic progressives and anarchists, reprobate “professors,” race baiters and other assorted communist worshippers are invited on air, having no idea what they are talking about, overcome by shrill hatred, repeating the same talking points memorized and fed to them by the Democrat Party, promoting socialism, communism, racial segregation, slavery reparations, and demonization of whites.

Who are these TV “expert” guests and the violent protesters in the streets? They are the cocaine and drug babies who have come of age. They are violent and belligerent by nature and do not need much provocation and remuneration to become volatile, to cause destruction, anarchy, violence, and to burn down businesses often owned by hard-working legal immigrants or black people who provide services to their own neighborhoods.

The hatred is taught in elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, colleges, and other home grown “madrassas.” Teachers entrusted with too much authority preach to students of all ages about social and environmental justice, collectivism, worshipping Islam, and communist equality. While social studies and history curricula are obviously main conduits, subjects such as math and science are not exempt. You would think that math and science would be off the political grid but you would be wrong.  Teachers’ colleges are now programing teachers how to use examples from the progressive world in their math and science word problems and lessons.

Where we are today also streams from the progressive-owned publishing houses and popular progressive newspapers such as the Washington Post and the much-touted New York Times.  Amazon’s Bezos bought the Washington Post; WaPo used to publish some articles of interest but today is mostly misinformation and Trump bashing from cover to cover.

Journalism in its true form has died long time ago; it is now a propaganda arm of the Socialists in the Democrat Party. Journalism is moribund in other countries as well. Non-governmental organizations (NGOs), sponsored by globalist agenda billionaires with money to burn, are giving grants and bribes around the world to so-called influential journalists to indoctrinate their population of listeners and readers into U.N. Agenda 21/2030 Sustainable Development and the manufactured global warming hoax.

It was a great step in the right direction when President Trump pulled the United States out of the Paris Climate Accord and the U.N. Green Climate Fund, instruments of fleecing U.S. of billions of dollars and of destroying the U.S. economy and redistributing its wealth to third world nations who are often biggest polluters and have no intention of complying with the accord until billions in bribes start filling their coffers. Perhaps years down the road, big polluters like China would start reducing their carbon footprint. As President Trump so aptly said, “I was elected to represent U.S. citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris.”

Larry Naritelli described the globalist madness and insane MSM indoctrination in simpler words. "Democrats claim that we must transfer our jobs and wealth to foreign countries in order to stop the sea level from rising. They actually believe and advocate this nonsense as science rather than theft. They claim if you give your pay to foreigners, the temperature won't rise. Why would anyone believe this nonsense?"

The true enemy of this country that spews disinformation and hate is the media and the entrenched bureaucrats from Washington who are exclusively supporters of Obama’s progressive agenda and his policies. They control what the public believes to be the truth.

Historically, a big lie, eine große Lüge, is a propaganda technique. Adolph Hitler coined the phrase in his 1925 Mein Kampf, using a lie so „collosal“ that few would believe that someone „could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously.“

Joseph Goebbels had said, “If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it, and you will even come to believe it yourself.”  Anthropogenic global warming and “white privilege” come to mind as big lies coming from the MSM, schools, colleges, universities, Hollywood, and anyone else who has a public platform and a microphone.

A case in point, Evergreen State College in Washington State is run by progressive faculty and administrators who have given into outrageous demands from Black Lives Matter students who want whites to go away for a day or perhaps permanently. Embarrassing videos have surfaced of students barely able to read a list of their own demands. They want a fellow progressive but Caucasian professor, Bret Weinstein, to be fired because he had the audacity to teach his class on the day when he was supposed to be absent. He was guilty of teaching while white on the “Day of Absence,” a racist attempt by Black Lives Matter to control the education curriculum. It appears that these students at Evergreen State College could have used a few more lessons in elementary reading.

Baltimore, the controversial grounds of Black Lives Matter demonstrations, looting, and burning, could also dedicate more classroom time and tutoring to reading and arithmetic to improve their students’ substandard performance. Being environmentally savvy may be a good idea as a requirement for high school graduation in Maryland, but being able to read , write, and do simple math upon graduation from high school is much better. As reported by WND and Baltimore’s Fox TV affiliate, every student in six Baltimore Public Schools failed the state’s proficiency test in English and mathematics. http://www.wnd.com/2017/05/epic-fail-every-student-flunks-state-exam/

After 30 years in education, I realize that the problem is not just the fact that we teach revisionist history, teach students to pass specific tests with no long-term retention, anti-Americanism, indoctrinate students into social justice utopia, socially promote undeserving students, give scholarships to weak students based on their skin color, ethnicity, and socio-economic background, praise primitive cultures and communism. Some students should never be in college – it is a waste of time and resources. They would be better served learning a much needed trade in an area they show talent in and interest. What good is a worthless college degree with no chance of employability?

We lionize mediocrity in teachers and administrators who are communist denizens and popular with students and parents alike, while we demonize and marginalize exceptional conservative educators and administrators who inculcate moral values and American civics, however unpopular that may be.

I’ve had teachers under communism who were able to teach us the right human values and accurate history despite the commissars breathing down their necks.  I’ve met outstanding writers who were not communists and managed to print and disseminate their works at great danger to themselves.

If Common Core Standards in education are allowed to stand in our schools, it will destroy any semblance of common sense in public education and socialist education and propaganda will be forced upon all students.

Emulating the socialist bankrupt Europe with their drug culture and total dependency on government from cradle to grave, confiscatory taxes to pay for it, and socialized medicine for all who have simple illnesses, leaves out the fact that the morally decadent and financially bankrupt EU population behaves in the opposite direction of the free spirit and freedom as young Americans see them.

Nobody speaks of the destruction of the European Christian faith, the disintegration of family, and the demographic decline from lack of child bearing and families, eventually ending in the demographic suicide of the Western European civilization, and its replacement with a fertile Islamic population as designed by globalists like Angela Merkel.

How did we get here at this existential crossroads? Ask the communist agitators, school indoctrinators, Hollywood, and community organizers to whom parents entrust their children every day.

"Building the Machine" Shines Light on Common Core

Common Core will be raising good little socialists, who are in tune with their feelings, not so much their critical thinking skills.” – Author unknown
“Common sense of the common people is more important for the health of the nation than the ideas of the philosophical elites.” – Wayne Brasler

The best documentary on the National Common Core Standards, Building the Machine, was directed by Ian A. Reid, who set out to illuminate the sixty-two percent of Americans who had not heard of Common Core in 2013. www.CommonCoreMovie.com

Common Core, the brainchild and work of 30 individuals under the aegis of the Governors’ Association and with the help of almost $200 million from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, is the tool to achieve the “fundamental transformation” of our society by adopting nationalized education “standards” that require students to find another way to reach an answer, particularly in math and science, even if the answer is wrong, justifying the incorrect answer as the path to helping students learn to think critically. The fact that the student needs to reach the right developmental age to think analytically and critically does not seem important in this newest educational scheme.

I gave examples of ill-conceived lesson plans, textbooks, and inappropriate reading materials in many subjects in my article here. http://canadafreepress.com/article/teach-common-sense-not-common-core

The national teaching standards were adopted by 45 states without parental or teacher input, under confidentiality agreements, without public debate, untested, untried, unproven, and certainly not “internationally benchmarked” or “state led” as it is now promoted in ads.

The bait for adoption was the $4.35 billion worth of grants offered through the President’s stimulus package. States had two months to write proposals in order to be eligible for the Race to the Top grants. Hurting for money because the economy was so depressed, 45 states applied and, in doing so, they accepted the Race to the Top Standards.

The standards, which were to become Common Core standards were not debated, “the drafts were cloaked,” there were no hearings, no testimony, just “some truncated public comments and no response to comments.”

“The Common Core standards were designed for an industrial model school,” claiming that they are “rigorous, even though they can’t tell you what makes for rigorous or non-rigorous standards.” Marc Tucker believes that they are designed for “work force development in the German model system.” Andrew Hacker, Professor Emeritus at Queens College, called Common Core standards, “a radical change from the past.”

According to the documentary, Building the Machine, “players” involved in developing, funding, adopting, and advertising national Common Core standards were:

-          Achieve, Inc.

-          Fordham Institute

-          The National Governors Association

-          Council of Chief State School Officers

-          U.S. Department of Education

-          Foundation for Excellence in Education

-          U.S. Chamber of Commerce

-          45 governors

-          Jeb Bush

-          Mike Huckabee

-          School Officers

-          Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (donated $200 million in 2012 alone to adopt Common Core) http://canadafreepress.com/article/building-the-machine-the-common-core-documentary

The Validation Committee was composed of 30 people who had to sign a confidentiality agreement that they would not discuss what took place in the meetings. (Dr. Sandra Stotsky)

Five committee members, a significant percentage, did not sign the final standards and were thus “expunged from the record.” Dr. Jim Milgram said, “They are not giving the public any idea of what’s going on.” Dr. Milgram and Dr. Stotsky were the only mathematician and English language arts content specialists on the 30-person validation committee. Neither approved the standards.

Replacing basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication) with Constructivism, teaching children how to “construct” their own way of figuring out an answer, even if it’s the wrong answer, and replacing English literature selections with New Criticism Literary Analysis, using leftwing norms of morality and behavior, appears to be a recipe for mediocrity.

We are a diverse nation populated by individuals with different talents, ability, IQ, motivation, interests, and dissimilar childhood experiences. Some children live on farms and some in the cities, some are affluent and some are not.

College should help Americans become life-long learners, not ideological robots. Education should be about our children, not the “system.” Paul Horton, Veteran History Teacher, University of Chicago Lab Schools, thinks that the “Current policy makers see the purpose of education as training people to acquire the minimum level of skills that are required to work in a technical workplace.”

In this Race to the Top competition standards that baited many into adoption of leftist ideas of what education should be, what race exactly are we supposed to win and against whom?

We are not trying to win any race; we are trying to pursue happiness, our American way of life, and keep our constitutional republic intact and safe, maintain our Christian heritage and faith, and reject the overt indoctrination into Islam. We do not need billionaire elitists, politicians, or Hollywood to tell us how to think, how to live, or dictate our faith.

James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas has released a new video, Common Corruption – Elitist Indoctrination, in which one of the Pearson Publishing former executives, Kim Koerber, explains the profit motive and the role of textbook publishers in our children’s education and what is the aim of Common Core. http://www.projectveritas.com/
“I hate kids. It’s never about the kids. Don’t kid yourselves…. It’s all about money.”

“Common core is really important because it needs to be some cohesion between the states and Texas keeps screwing it up over and over. Texas got upset about it and they wanted to have their founders, they wanted to pound the fathers in it. … The dead white guys did not create this country. It was a whole bunch of different kinds of people. And yes there were women, and yes, there were people of color and yes, you need to talk about them too. But they want to talk about those dead white guys.”
According to Kim, conservative voters don’t agree with birth control and therefore do not want their kids to learn about it. Conservatives object to the very graphic lessons on sexuality and sexual perversion, and STDs that small children would be subjected to.

According to Kim, conservatives object to the approximate math of Common Core because they do not understand the new math, they did not study it in high school.

Kim is of the deceptive opinion that conservatives want the Constitution taught but only the parts they like. It seems to me that she wants only the parts progressives promote when she says, “Damn the Second Amendment! I don’t think personal handguns need to be on anyone except the government, the police.  What is the purpose of having a gun?”

Kim should study the history of the Holocaust and communism when only the government and the police had guns – more than 100 million innocents lost their lives at the hands of their governments.

Donald Trump spoke at the National Tea Party convention against Common Core and the “bureaucrats in Washington [who] are making a lot of money, they don’t give a damn about your kids in South Carolina…. Nobody can win when you are in favor of Common Core, it’s a disaster.”

Ted Cruz said that, as president, on his first day in office, he would instruct the Department of Education to end Common Core.

Santorum echoed the opinions of the other presidential hopefuls. “The real issue for common core is the elites in our culture who want to indoctrinate our young people into a certain way to think, a certain belief structure, and it’s all spread out through Common Core. I believe the best and safest way to maintain our values in this country is to leave it up to the people at the grass roots level.”

According to Kim Koerber, “conservatives don’t like being told what to do by people they don’t agree with.” She wants history to include lessons about the Wild West and its prostitutes.

When “Republicans want to influence what is being taught,” Koerber said, “Common Core does not put up with that.” Apparently progressives know better and we must comply with their standards. Conservatives must be told how to think. “I can’t stand it, said Kim. If they talk to me one more time about common core, about climate change not being real, I’m just gonna scream.”

The elites who push Common Core do not think much about Christianity.  Kim Koerber continued, “I am really glad that here in California, whatever religious affiliation you want to take is fine, but in Texas they want to push the Christianity.” …”That’s why is so offensive to have these prayers in the school board.”

“Christianity is totally out of the Common Core. Yes, it is.  Totally!  It’s not a core concept at all. But then there is a mention of other religions like Islam.”

Apparently Kim Koerber does not understand that we were founded on Christianity, not Islam. Islam had made no contribution to the establishment of our country and of our success. Europeans fled the tyranny of monarchs so they could live and worship in peace.

It is very profitable for textbook companies anytime someone changes something in a textbook, said Kim. “School districts then have to adopt new books. It is all about the money.”

Koerber admits that there is a liberal bias in the Common Core standards. “So, I think the progressive bias is that the more educated you are, the better you are.” Education may be good but there are certain things that kids don’t need to know in such stark and pornographic detail and at such a tender age.

The reporter argued that kids were doing math and science just fine before Common Core; Koerber replied that critics don’t like it because the government is telling them what to do.

She continued, “The separation of church and state they don’t understand. They don’t like that. They don’t like equal rights between all groups. The voter suppression in the south is unbelievably awful.” What voter suppression? What planet BIG LIE does this woman live on?

Smearing critics that, “People who are not educated are easy to flim-flam, and that they react by fear instead of by knowledge,” Koerber is proving the progressive elitist arrogance that they are the only smart ones and they hold the academic key to knowledge. Fortunately, informed and intelligent people see through progressive stratagems and through Conformity Core indoctrination into collectivism and Islam.

Of course, now that the omnibus bill has been signed last month, the next education federalization that is augmenting Common Core comes as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), S.1177, sponsored by Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) which was included in the omnibus bill.  https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/senate-bill/1177

Deceptively named “Community Schools,” promoted by Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD), these government schools will replace parental responsibilities under the guise of “early childhood learning, medical and dental screenings, and career counseling,” all of which have been done unsuccessfully under Head Start, Medicaid, and school title programs.

Jane Robbins, attorney and activist with Truth in American Education, is quoted in the New American, such “schools will be expanded to replace family and church as the center of every child’s life, offering myriad ‘services’ including mental-health programs.” She added that “Few things should alarm parents more than the prospect of the government’s assessing their child’s mental health and proceeding to fix any problem the government claims to find.” http://www.thenewamerican.com/culture/education/item/21395-obamas-community-schools-aim-to-replace-parents
Arne Duncan, former Secretary of Education, had boasted that these government schools will care for some American children 24/7, while all students will become global citizens and will be converted into ‘green citizens’ with UNESCO as ‘global partner’ and its World Core Curriculum. http://www.unesco.org/education/tisf/mods/theme_c/popups/mod18t01s03.html

Now we really understand why curricula around the world are relatively the same --manufactured history, neglected traditions, white achievement bashing, multiculturalism, no unified language, the fundamental transformation into one world collectivist government with its sustainable development everything.

Our Children, Global Citizens, and the Collective

“Our Children Belong to the Collective” is a phrase that brings back bad memories and nightmares for survivors of communism. It is alarming when an MSNBC host says that your kid belongs to the collective. I’ve seen and experienced Hillary’s global village of “collective” children and did not like it. I do not like Agenda 21’s “collectivism,” global citizens, or Hillary’s secular village raising our children – it is a frightening prospect.

Former communist dictator Ceausescu and his wife brainwashed children through slogans in and out of school to believe that their parents were the President and his wife. Disparaging biological parents, community organizers and teachers encouraged the worship of the communist party and its absolute tyrannical leader as the only source of parental advice and guidance.

They were told to snitch on their parents; they were asked repeatedly how much money their parents had, what furniture, cars, hunting rifles, jewelry, paintings, cash under the mattress, conversations with each other, and who visited their homes.

Children, innocent and sincere, told the truth, without realizing that their honest answers would put away their parents for good, not understanding why their parents disappeared overnight, and heartbroken when sent to the many state orphanages where they would never see their parents again and the aggressive re-education into the communist utopia began.

At some point during his rule, the dictator forbade any form of contraception and abortion was severely punished. The population was dwindling because people could not afford to feed and support many children. The population was committing demographic suicide for financial and economic reasons. Food was hard to come by, living space was very cramped, and nobody had many possessions left.

An explosion of babies whose parents were too poor to support ensued. The dictator was happy to receive them in his many orphanages specially designed to educate the next cadre of communist apparatchiks and to train his personal army.

Ironically, one such baby, who was conceived from a rape and his mom gave him up for adoption to the communist training school, eventually became part of the firing squad that shot the dictator and his wife on December 25, 1989. He testified that no soldier knew who had the real bullets and who had the duds. He was convinced that divine retribution and karma coincided.

Would parents willingly give up their children to be raised by the state in this country? Perhaps some who are frustrated with unruly kids they do not know how to handle anymore or never knew how to raise properly because they were immature themselves and unprepared for the difficult job of parenting. The promise that the state will educate children who are out of control might be tempting to some.

Parents are already reprimanded by some states if they spank or punish their children by taking away privileges. Social services intervene and remove the children from such homes and put them in foster care. The state becomes de facto parents.

States give minor children birth control, the morning after pill, and Planned Parenthood counseling without the knowledge and consent of the parents. In such cases, parental rights are bypassed - they are made irrelevant by the state.

Parents are not allowed in classrooms to see what lessons and revisionist history their children are taught. In Texas, parents are not permitted to view the CSCOPE socialist-indoctrinating curriculum. Common Core is attempting to nationalize and control the education of our children.

At the university level the socialist “collectivist” mentality prevails. Columbia just hired a professor who spent years in jail as a domestic terrorist with the Weather Underground. Is this the role model we want to teach our students? Academia has been indoctrinating young minds for a long time with the tacit consent of parents – they are the payers of tuition and are not asking questions.

Everybody was outraged when the coach at Rutgers was seen on tape physically and verbally attacking his student athletes. Where is the moral outrage when conservative students are verbally abused and tormented by their liberal college professors?

The all-powerful teacher derides students’ views and opinions that are different from his/hers, threatens to fail them, or gives them bad grades. The students are often harassed the entire semester – the professor picks on them and makes insensitive and insulting remarks to intimidate them into submission. Some drop the class but many have no choice but to stay.

Benji Backer, a fifteen year old from Appleton, Wisconsin, was so bullied by teachers for his conservative political views that he had to switch schools. He was so tired of being told that he was a racist because his views conflicted with his teachers’ that he fought back the intolerant bullies from the left by going public with his plight. (Red State and Fox News)

Children do not belong to the state, they belong to a family, to their parents, and it is important to stress parental rights before it is too late. The “collective” will make pliant drones out of young minds that no longer can or are allowed to think for themselves as individuals with free will.

A Piece of Land and a Moment of Time

In December 1989, communism fell in Eastern Europe and Romanians started the process of reclaiming their land and personal property confiscated by the Communist Party during 1949-1962. My maternal family recently received judicial notification of recovery, 23 years after the suit commenced.

Mom and I were given a plot of land that we have never seen. I am told that it is covered with rocks, the type that an enterprising fellow nearby is already exploiting and selling to construction companies for road building. I am not holding any high hopes or interest right now to plant a crop but it feels strange and empowering at the same time to own an ancestral piece of property that had belonged to my family for generations but was taken by force after World War II. Grandpa would be proud!

In 1921, peasants were given 4 hectares of land. When communists came to power in 1945, under pressure from Moscow, a new agrarian reform was passed meant to disband large farms and to gather votes for the Communist Party. Hundreds of thousands of farmers received small plots of land to grow crops on and feed their families.

Once entrenched, the communist agricultural vision changed. Their leaders were convinced that small properties were not valuable and condemned to non-modernized operations. At the time, people had plenty to eat and their families were thriving. However, community organizers fanned across the country convinced them through extensive propaganda that the state would be more efficient in administering the land.

The Marxist-Leninist dogma said, “A small property generates capitalism day by day, minute by minute, spontaneous, and in mass proportions.” The small-time farmer feeding his family, with a little surplus, was seen as an individual member of the bourgeoisie, requiring squashing.

The commie’s strategy was to turn farmers against the richer farmers through class envy and class warfare and it worked quite well.
The communists began the process of confiscating land from farmers who owned 50 hectares or more in a violent manner in March 1949 via an immediate executive order or decree. Overnight, farmers were taken out of their homes and forcibly moved to other villages, while their homes, animals, agricultural equipment, and land were seized. Farmers who had some mechanized agricultural tools were labeled “rich and bourgeois.” The “socialist transformation of agriculture” followed via division of farmers into five categories: those without any land, poor peasants, middle peasants, well-to-do farmers, and the very rich farmers.

The Communist Party introduced the quota system in order to compensate for lack of food in cities across the nation, to make war reparations to the Soviet Union, and to ruin farm operations that were doing well. A significant part of the crops had to be turned over to the state. Oftentimes the farmers were only left with the seed necessary for next year’s crop or nothing at all. Thousands of previously well-off farmers or people of modest means were ruined this way, including the very poor whom the communists pretended to protect.
The farmers who opposed collectivization, the joining of small private farms into large, state owned and controlled farms, were violently repressed through deportations, incarcerations, and confiscation of everything they owned, including clothes.

Deportations involved taking families who were considered most resistant and uneducable in labor camps and placing them in the middle of nowhere, far from civilization and transportation, forcing them to live in a hut in order to have shelter from wind and cold, surviving like the American pioneers in the west. More than 40,000 farmers were deported this way to 18 geographically difficult regions to survive in, the so-called called „special communes” run by the dreaded security police loyal to the Communist Party.
Northern Moldova and Transylvania offered most resistance. The farmers were arrested, shot in their homes, or summarily executed without due process. Thousands were sent to jail by 1950 and their wealth confiscated. If allowed to return to their village of birth after a lengthy deportation (1949-1956), farmers found their homes occupied by other families who were staunch communist party members and were rewarded for their loyalty with ownership of a confiscated home. Injustice was swift and the spreading of wealth was cruel.

Collectivization was completed in 1962 with medal awarding ceremonies. The chaotic and mismanaged agricultural system under communists experienced such a sustained crisis between 1948-1962, that the effects are still felt today, twenty-three years after the communists lost power.
Can this happen in America? Can we lose our land and property to someone else deemed more deserving by constant leftist propaganda? Can we lose our land to wilderness because environmentalists in control force us to move? Or is it already happening peacefully and silently while the population is being soothed with „hope and change,” lies and fabrications on a daily basis?

Americans are asleep, ignorant, mesmerized, doped up, or so corrupt that they no longer care what happens to their fellow citizens, their children’s future, the future of our country, so long as they have a cushy job, mindless television shows, sports, a pay check, perhaps bribes, comfortable homes, club memberships, vacations, and most of all, intoxicating power and control.
Redistributing wealth is the only thing communists know how to do brutally and stealthily well. Those who do not pay taxes or hold down jobs protest that it is their right to steal someone else’s money. They’ve even come up with a new euphemism, they are not stealing the wealth of producers, they are merely forcing them to „share the burden.”

But it is stealing! Every moment of time that we must work to earn money and pay taxes that are then spent by our out-of-control government on non-producers is a moment too long that we are slaves to someone else, a moment of time that is stolen from our limited time on earth.
