Declining Demographics and the Destruction of an Exceptional Country

The Russians are addressing their declining demographics by having a special holiday, take-off-work-to-have-sex day. If a baby is produced 9 months from an official holiday, the couple receives a car.

It takes 2.1 babies per family in order to replace a dying population. Most European nations are way below this statistic, thus committing self-suicide. Whether they are not having babies for economic reasons, selfishness, increase in cheap and readily available abortions, depraved lifestyles, lack of housing, lack of jobs, high unemployment encouraged by a generous welfare state, or education, the problem is that most Europeans are self-destroying through attrition, fast replaced by north Africans and Middle Easterners who do have lots of babies per family.

EU governments have tried to address the issue by opening their immigration floodgates to hordes that have refused to assimilate, not becoming good citizens, and in general a nuisance to a peaceful society by overtly trying to destroy it while the government and the police did nothing to punish the offenders or even address the multiculturalism gone berserk. Instead, they have punished locals for hate speech when citizens tried to point out the huge immigration problem.

In the United States, the replacement value gets a pass to 2.1 thanks to unchecked illegal immigration and anchor babies, otherwise Americans replace their dying population at 1.9 or less, not enough to keep the local population at current levels. The problem is the same here as in the EU, the illegals refuse to assimilate, learn the language, and become Americans. Instead, one demographic is pushing for Reconquista and another for the establishment of a world caliphate, advocating taking over the country in the near future.

The current U.S. population is around 316 million, the third most populous country in the world. The Census Bureau estimates that by 2050 the U.S. population will be at 422-458 million, the large range in estimate is possibly based on the number of illegal immigrants coming into this country. To facilitate the influx of illegal immigrants whose numbers nobody seems to know exactly, let’s say twelve millions, with the potential of millions more coming afterwards who will claim asylum from the violence of Mexican drug cartels or family integration, our government is eager to give illegal aliens who broke our laws by crossing the border without proper documentation, blanket amnesty. Even criminals will be included in this amnesty largesse. Nobody asked the American people if this amnesty is a beneficial move and in their best interest.

Large corporations, however, are itching to have cheap labor legally. Byron York discussed in his recent article, Companies Lay off Thousands, Then Demand Immigration Reform for New Labor, the letter from chief human resources officers of more than 100 large corporations, sent to House Speaker Boehner and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, advising speedy passage of a comprehensive immigration bill. Companies like GE, The Walt Disney Company, Marriott International, Hilton Worldwide, Hyatt, McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Coca-Cola, The Cheesecake Factory, Johnson & Johnson, Verizon, Hewlett-Packard, General Mills and many others want “increases in immigration levels to low-skill as well as high-skill workers, in addition to a path to citizenship for the millions of immigrants currently in the U.S. illegally.” http://washingtonexaminer.com/companies-lay-off-thousands-then-demand-immigration-reform-for-new-labor/article/2535595

These CEOs claim that there is a “global war for talent.” Although we have millions of unemployed, millions of discouraged workers who have stopped looking for work altogether, millions of unemployed college graduates who cannot find a job, it is hard to comprehend how we have such a shortage of workers that we must import them from other countries via the amnesty bill.

The Center for Immigration Studies said, “It is difficult to understand how these companies can feel justified in demanding the importation of cheap labor with a straight face at a time when tens of millions of Americans are unemployed.”

As a matter of fact, Steve Camarota of the Center for Immigration Studies reported that American universities graduate twice as many Americans as are needed for jobs created in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Companies have been enabled by laws passed by Congress to move many manufacturing plants overseas, claiming high corporate taxes in the U.S., burdensome regulations, and high union wages.

DreamActivist.org gives tips and teaches illegals how to lie about their status. The “Dreamers” are the children of illegal immigrants who were brought into this country by their parents. They are the main stream media’s propaganda platform. President Obama gave them legal status in 2012 on the condition that they met certain requirements and paid a $465 fee. To say that all “Dreamers” are model children would be an exaggeration. Rep. Jack Kingston of Georgia introduced a bill to stop illegal immigrants from receiving child tax credits, a move that could save the taxpayers over $4 billion a year. The system is strained by fraud – illegal immigrants have learned how to game the financial system to their benefit. One Indianapolis illegal household, under the IRS’s ITIN which was meant to encourage illegals to pay taxes, had claimed 20 children, 19 of whom lived in Mexico, and had received $29,000 in tax refund. Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) reported on August 27, 2013 that, while Congress was moving to “defund the position of President Obama’s special advocate for illegal immigrants at the Department of Homeland Security, the title was quietly rebranded to protect the position.” Initially, the position title was ICE Public Advocate. It was changed to Deputy Assistant Director Custody Programs and Community Outreach.

According to Judicial Watch, “the position was included in an agency file associated with the Obama administration’s new directive protecting the illegal immigrant parents of anchor babies from deportation.” Congress has no authority now to defund this position. Members of Congress were furious that taxpayers’ money was used to fund a DHS position that advocates for illegal immigrants. The DHS position filled by Andrew Lorenzen-Strait was called in Spanish the “people’s counsel.”

Amnesty will explode our deficit by making millions of illegal immigrants eligible for Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Obamacare, and other 80 plus welfare programs. According to Heritage Foundation, the average illegal alien is 34 years old and has a 10^th grade education. Each illegal immigrant would receive over his lifetime $900,000 in government benefits, while paying only $300,000 in taxes.

Many workers’ wages would decrease as a result of amnesty. There will be more competition for low-skill jobs as the number of workers seeking such jobs will increase significantly, while supply of low skill jobs will remain relatively the same.

The amnesty bill would overwhelm the current immigration system which is already backlogged by as much as 19 years in applicants from certain areas of the globe.  The Senate Bill 744 would force immigration to clear the backlog of 4 million people waiting to enter the country legally and to include the 11-12 million amnestied illegals into the mix. Arbitrarily set mandates would only worsen the backlog.

Amnesty will not be a “fair path to citizenship. Amnesty itself is inherently unfair” to all those who have waited in their countries legally and patiently in line for the resolution of their cases, it cheapens the respect for the law, treats law-breakers better than it treats law-abiding aliens, and encourages future illegal immigration through border crossings and visa overstay.

The employment-based visa programs process will be much worse. H-1B visa program for highly skilled positions would force employers to follow certain restrictions such as paying higher wages to most H-1B workers and not to current U.S. workers, creating a bureaucratic nightmare.

The Government Accountability Office reported last week that almost 3,000 sex offenders were released under some supervision in September 2012 in the group of 59,347 illegal immigrants the courts ruled could not be held nor sent back to their countries because their countries did not want them back. http://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/sep/15/us-releases-illegals-who-are-sex-offenders/

I fail to see how so many law-breaking illegal aliens among us are going to make our country safe. Is the immigration program not meant to protect Americans and do what is in the best interest of American citizens, not what is in the best interest of illegal immigrants who broke our laws and committed crimes while illegally in the U.S.?

The open borders progressive crowd is very busy and aggressively advocating for amnesty because they know, it will dilute the American population, and it will forever change the composition of our demographics and character of our society by forcibly admitting millions of lawbreakers into our society who have no intention of assimilating and becoming good Americans, fundamentally transforming who we are into something that nobody will recognize as the former exceptional superpower. We will become a third world banana republic dominated by failed European style multiculturalism and unassimilated ghettoes and barrios in which inhabitants only speak their native languages.

Defund Obamacare? Not Happening

While Americans demand vociferously the defunding of Obamacare in hopes of getting rid of the most destructive and freedom-robbing piece of legislation passed in modern times, Congressmen pretend to make valiant efforts to do so via various proposals that only low information and extremely naïve voters can believe to be true. Their efforts are akin to a handful of people standing on the tracks of an oncoming speeding train, waving their hands in hopes that the engineer will see them in time and be able to stop thousands of tons of momentum at the last minute. Even Heritage President, Jim DeMint, called for an end to these ‘pretend votes’ and ‘gimmicks’ that have now been postponed until next week, supposedly as the result of concerned Americans’ calls. It is just another way of buying time until the bill comes fully into effect.

The reality is that Obamacare is here to stay. Fourteen laws have already been signed that “amend, rescind, and otherwise change parts of Obamacare.” The President has delayed his own law five different times.  The law is “unfair, unworkable, and unaffordable.” It will eventually cause loss of current health coverage, reduction of full-time work to part-time work, and will allow faceless bureaucrats to control your health care and the denial of services.

Billionaire Mort Zuckerman said on McLaughlin Group, “Part-time employment is going to grow from 25 percent of the workforce to close to 50 percent of the workforce in part because of the problems of healthcare obligations.” 

Obamacare is such an unbelievable bureaucratic nightmare.  According to CNSNews.com, it is 8 times longer than the Gutenberg Bible. Since the unaffordable Affordable Care Act was passed, The Federal Register published 109 final regulations directing how Obamacare is to be implemented with a total of 10,516 pages.  The Gutenberg Bible has 1,286 pages.

Heritage Foundation featured Dr. Josh Shepherd, who has been running a family practice in Lewisville, Texas for 35 years. He is so concerned about the impact of the Affordable Care Act on his patients, the layers of bureaucracy that it will create, the unreliable government reimbursement for medical services that he stated, “I am a believer in defunding Obamacare because I think it’s going to be a disaster for our country.”  There is so much administrative work that is taking time away from patient care already. Unions have been enthusiastic supporters of the Affordable Care Act before it passed.  As of Wednesday, September 11, 2013, AFL-CIO, the largest union, voted on a “strongly worded resolution that says that the Affordable Care Act will drive up costs of union-sponsored health plans to the point that workers and employers are forced to abandon them.” www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/Unions-Health-Care/2013/09/11/id/525201?s=al&promo_code=14D75-1

According to the Senate Conservatives Fund House Update, “GOP leaders will attempt to pass a ‘trick rule’ that allows them to pretend to defund Obamacare without actually doing so. Under the trick rule, the House will pass a continuing resolution that fully funds Obamacare along with a separate phony bill that defunds Obamacare. Democrats in the Senate will then throw the defunding bill in the garbage and send the real bill that funds Obamacare to the president’s desk.”

More evidence is coming to light of elements of Obamcare that were previously unknown. On October 1, 2013, any employer, who does not notify its employees by letter within 14 days of the existence of the health care exchanges, will be fined $100 per day by the IRS.

Any person subsidized under Obamcare must reimburse the government for part of the healthcare exchange subsidy if their income changes.

A comment on Virginians for Quality Healthcare, entitled Sue’s story,  exemplified in painful detail what will be happening to our stellar health care in this country. “My daughter is disabled and requires 24 hour care. She is on Medicare and Medicaid. At her last visit, her doctor said that she was of the age to start receiving mammograms, but that a ‘cost/benefit ratio’ would need to be done to determine whether she will qualify to receive one. Also, several of her caretakers have indicated that they can no longer work more than 29 hours a week because of Obamacare.  I have no doubt that this is just the beginning of what is coming to all of us under this law. One in 9 women will get breast cancer at some point and we all need to be screened. My daughter is not a budget item. She is a human being and shame on us if we treat people this way.”

Reckless government spending and the desire to nationalize health in order to control our bodies, make Obamacare a very dangerous assault on our freedom. There are so many hidden flaws in Obamcare that we have not even begun to assess what it will do to our citizens.

The Affordable Care Act should be scrapped for ten reasons. (Heritage Foundation, Morning Bell, September 9, 2013)

1.       Temporary waivers were given to many companies unfairly, when companies complained about the costs of the law. More than half were union plans and they are not happy, they want another waiver.

2.       Illegal taxpayers' subsidies for Congress and its staffers, covering 75 percent of their premium costs.

3.       Employer mandate was delayed one year although Section 1514(d) of the law requires employers to comply with the law beginning after December 31, 2013. Hard-working Americans, on the other hand, are not getting a one year delay from Obamacare’s implementation.

4.       Insurers stopped offering child-only plans in 17 states because HHS issued regulations prohibiting plans from turning down applicants with pre-existing conditions. Initially, the way the law was written, insurers were “still able to refuse new coverage to children because of a pre-existing medical problem.”

5.       Out of Pocket Expense Caps under section 1302(c)(1) were also delayed although they were to take effect “beginning in 2014.” The change was made by this administration by issuing rules subject to public comment after posting a series of questions and answer on an obscure website.

6.       The basic health plan for people above the Medicaid income level under section 1331 of ACA was also delayed for one year.

7.       Tax disclosures under section 9002 of Obamcare required employers to file on W-2 forms the value of employees’ health insurance for all taxable years after December 31, 2010. The administration again delayed this requirement until after the 2012 presidential election.

8.       The administration announced that in lieu of verification of income, all Americans were placed on the “honor system.” Americans will be able to ‘game the system’ and obtain more taxpayer-funded subsidies than they would otherwise be entitled to receive. There are enough loopholes in the law to make it even easier to do so.

9.       The Obamacare data hub is a security risk and will not be able to maintain the privacy of the American public health information. Michael Astrue complained about the security risks of Obamacare’s new data hub.

10.   Tobacco smokers can be charged under section 1201of Obamacare up to 50 percent higher premiums. Because of a computer glitch such penalties “will be limited for at least a year – meaning non-smokers may have to pay more as a result.”

What Bill Schoonover describes is now the reality of our America, once a success story born by freedom of opportunity, where Justice was blind, a country that cared not just for its citizens but anybody around the world who was in distress.  It brings to mind my Dad’s painful death, when medical care, drugs, food, and water were denied because he was not part of the ruling elite in the communist utopian paradise that all good liberals long for in this country.

The Survivors of Communism Summit

The Alexandria Tea Party sponsored “The Survivors of Communism Summit” on September 10, 2013. The theme was “100 Million Corpses in 100 Years – We Must Never Forget.” The packed Lyceum in Old Town Alexandria was spellbound by the stories of the luminaries who attended the event.

If you question the need for such a summit, consider the romanticized version of communism taught in American public schools and the recent fake petition drive to support Karl Marx for President in 2016 as the candidate for the Democrat Party. It was shocking to see how many people signed up after they were told that “President Obama had endorsed him.”

Congressman Jim Bridenstine of the First District in Oklahoma told the story of his first encounter with communism as a Navy pilot in South Korea, when taken to the demilitarized zone (DMZ) for a visit. He could see a beautiful city in the North and wondered why people said North Koreans were starving to death. The translator explained that the buildings were not real, they were built with no windows and doors, no inhabitants, just a propaganda display.

Ambassador H. E. Gyorgy Szapary of Hungary, spoke from his personal memory, recounting his experience with communism and stressing humanity’s “Legacy of Freedom.”

The keynote speaker was Dr. Lee Edwards, Chairman of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, addressing the topic, “Is Communism Dead?” Dr. Edwards dedicated the Victims of Communism Memorial in 2007 and launched the online Global Museum on Communism in 2009.

Klara Sever, born in former Czechoslovakia, described “The Real Life of Julia,” her life under communism as a sculptor-restorer of baroque castles and editor and broadcaster at Slovak Radio, while taking part in the underground broadcasting during the Soviet occupation. The Life of Julia was the Democrat Party’s propaganda about a false narrative of the fictitious American woman, Julia, who could not have achieved anything without the help of government programs.

Klara said, “Realizing the hopelessness of life” under the communist occupiers, her family left for Austria and Paris where they obtained a visa for the U.S. The moment they landed in New York City in March 1969, they were free.

The most moving testimony of the evening came from Dr. Doan Viet Hoat, the recipient of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation Freedom Award in 2000. A prisoner of conscience, Dr. Doan Viet Hoat was arrested and imprisoned in 1976 without charges. Released 12 years later, he was rearrested in 1990 and sentenced to twenty more years of prison for publishing, writing, and editing ideas contrary to the communist ideology in Vietnam. On appeal, his sentence was reduced to 15 years.  Having spent 27 years in various jails around Vietnam, Dr. Doan  Viet Hoat never stopped writing and disseminating his work to the outside world with the help of other inmates who were sympathetic to the cause of freedom. Even in the direst of circumstances in jails in northern Vietnam, he was able to get help from hard-core criminals who made sure his work was distributed to the free world. During his brief freedom between the two jailings, 1988-1990, Dr. Doan Viet Hoat edited and published in Saigon an underground magazine, Freedom Forum, “to promote and exchange opinions on human rights and democracy.”

Andrew Eiva, born in a refugee camp in Bonn in 1948, recounted the life and stories of the Lithuanian resistance. His parents escaped Lithuania and fled to the U.S. in 1949. His grandfather, Gen. Kazimieras Ladyga, was not so lucky. He fought Russian revolutionaries at the end of World War I. He was chief of staff of the independent Lithuania from 1925-1927.  The revolutionaries eventually won, arrested him, sent him to Siberia where he was tortured and died.

Specializing in guerrilla warfare support while in the U.S. Army in Germany with Special Forces, Eiva “dedicated himself to overthrowing the Soviet empire.”

“At the 1984 Republican Convention, Eiva was responsible for having language inserted into the party platform calling for support of the Afghan Mujahedin in their fight against the Soviets.”

Jaroslaw (Slavko) Martyniuk, the last speaker of the evening, a retired sociologist and self-described “public intellectual,” was born in the Ukraine. His family fled communism at the end of WWII and eventually moved to Chicago, Illinois. He described gulags in Siberia, the Soviet concentration camps for hard labor that were not really meant for re-education but for extermination.

The political dissidents sent there who worked underground in the gold mines had a survival rate of 2-4 weeks. He described the horrific and constant cold, the back-breaking labor on two rations of bread per day, the size of a person’s fist, and watery soup. The bitter cold, the unsafe working conditions, and the hard labor killed so many that the estimate of those buried in the permafrost is at least 3 million. Nobody could keep accurate count, he said, because records were constantly scrubbed. The worst of the re-education camps in the Arctic region was Kolyma, the place with two seasons, “12 months of winter and summer.”

Fluent in Ukrainian, French, Polish, Russian, and Belarusian, Martyniuk expressed his disappointment that Americans know so very little about gulags and the mass killings that occurred during the Bolshevik and Soviet purges. How could 25,000 Bolsheviks control 25 million people? They confiscated their guns first.

The Summit brochure mentioned the Laogai Museum which documents China’s prison camps, human rights violations such as executions, harvesting of organs from executed prisoners, the coercive “one child only” population control policy, internet censorship and surveillance, and all other atrocities committed by China’s communist regime.

Mentioned in the brochure is the anti-communist protest of the Damas de Blanco. The opposition movement in Cuba of the Ladies in White was formed two weeks after the arrest during the Black Spring of 2003 of 75 individuals charged with “acts against the independence or the territorial integrity of the state.” Ladies dressed in white, relatives of those arrested, gather on Sundays at St. Rita’s Church in Havana to pray for their husbands, brothers, uncles, cousins, nephews, and fathers. After each mass, the Ladies in White walk from the church to a nearby park. Each lady wears a lapel button with the photograph of the arrested loved one. In 2005, Palm Sunday, the communist government sent the Federation of Cuban Women to counter protest the Damas de Blanco. Canada will honor the victims of communism through a memorial which will be built near Parliament Hill. I stand with the millions of victims of communism, including my Dad, who disagreed with the communist party Marxist ideology and protested the confiscation of their homes, land, guns, personal possessions, and the loss of their God-given freedom. The victims objected to the lack of food, heat, water, proper medical care, medications, and a decent treatment as human beings.
