Alan Butler, Liberty Radio Network, April 25, 2013

http://host1.cyberears.com//19137.mp3
My 12 minute chat with Alan Butler on the topic of illegal immigration. I come on at the 54 minute mark.

A Journey of Love and Respect Back to the South

A two hour flight later I was in my beloved South, assaulted by humidity and cold. A heavy and constant rain made it difficult to drive my rented Corolla. I expected humidity and hot and I was shivering in my light clothes.

The roads were deserted compared to the heavy constant traffic in D.C. Once in a while a solitary car would pass going in the opposite direction. I had the excellent road all to myself. The dense vegetation and trees displayed lovely shades of green. Hanging lavender wisteria formed nature’s intricate draperies. White, pink, and fuchsia azaleas were in full bloom. Yellow daffodils dotted the landscape. The sky was grey and dreary but the scenery was bursting with color.

I was excited to make the two and half hour drive from the airport to my Mississippi destination. I wanted to see my friend Harold and his lovely wife Lois, my adopted mother in the U.S. since 1978. I could not have stayed without her emotional support and devoted friendship; I was so home sick. Adapting to America was difficult to say the least and she was my thoughtful, loving, and learned advisor.

Harold is a WWII survivor. There are not many left like him, literally and figuratively. He is 91 years young, full of life and energy, straight and moving with a purpose, always smiling, optimistic, and jocular. I never tire of his war stories. I wished I had recorded all of them for the last 35 years.

The house is the same as I remembered it, embracing the visitor with a welcome home comfort that is soothing to the soul and body. No matter when you arrive, you are always welcome in Lois’ home and she has something sweet to eat that she prepared herself, no store bought foods in her house.

The lovely garden in the back is exploding with greenery and a myriad of buds. Lois always had flower beds and birdhouses, while Harold, with his green thumb, planted a sizable garden every summer. His tomatoes were delicious! Harold still fiddles with a small patch of vegetables if he is not too busy bird hunting.

Harold was drafted his senior year in high school. He spent three years in the army, 1943-1946, two of them overseas, as a private first class. At the end of the war, he was offered a good rating of Sergeant First Class if he re-enlisted but Harold chose to build a career as a successful businessman instead.

Harold brought out his prized brand-new Luger pistol in its original holster. He was proud of this WWII souvenir confiscated from a German soldier during the Battle of the Bulge. Holding the cold and heavy weapon, I read the German writing and the caliber. It was made in Prague, Bohemian Weapons Factory, model 27, caliber 7.65, same as a 32 today. The Germans produced around 450,000 such pistols during 1939-1945.

Fought in the winter of December 16, 1944 through January 25, 1945, Harold describes the Battle of the Bulge in the forests of the Ardennes region of Wallonia, Belgium. The Allies front line bulged inward on wartime maps, hence the name. At the Battle of the Bulge, the largest and bloodiest battle fought by United States in World War II, of the 600,000 American troops, 81,000 were killed in the battle. The Germans eventually lost the battle because they were unable to supply their armored columns with fuel. The Allies constantly bombed the fuel refineries, including those in my hometown of Ploiesti.

Harold describes the Battle of Hürtgen Forest as if it happened yesterday. With his lilting Southern accent, he pronounced it Hurricane Forest. A series of fierce battles were fought in a 50 square mile area east of the Belgian-German border from September 19, 1944 to February 10, 1945.

In the Battle of Aachen, Harold’s company lost half of its 165 soldiers. To seek shelter, the soldiers built a hut from tree tops and mud. His artillery outfit shot down 494 German planes with the M45 Quad mount, nicknamed the “meat chopper” and “Krautmower” because the four barrel, .50 caliber M2 Browning machine guns delivered a high rate of fire and was highly mobile against enemy aircraft.

German warplanes would attack at low altitude and then would rapidly retreat to avoid Allied fighters. The M45 Quad mount units were a strong deterrent to strafing runs by German warplanes because of the large firepower and because the four 50 caliber barrels could be "tuned" to converge upon a single point at distances which could be reset quickly.

The Hürtgen Forest claimed the lives and limbs of 33,000 soldiers (U.S. 1st Army) in combat and non-combat losses. It was dubbed the Allies’ “defeat of the first magnitude.” The Germans defended the area staunchly because it was the staging zone for the Ardennes Offensive, to become the Battle of the Bulge, and it encompassed a strategic dam. When Aachen eventually fell on October 22nd, the U.S. 9th Army had suffered heavy casualties.

Harold was the master cook and baker. He did not just feed the troops; he fed the entire battalion three meals a day. Fierce fighting forced him to serve one meal per day sometimes. He tells the story of the emaciated soldiers whom everyone thought dead but returned, having been saved from starvation by a Belgian woman who sacrificed and cooked her last rooster to feed them.

With limited resources, Harold always kept a pot of coffee on or warm biscuits, cooking with a 9 pound M1 Garand rifle on his shoulder. The cook was everyone’s lifeline and the soldiers tried to protect him as much as possible, sometimes setting up kitchen quarters in a thicket.

Harold had many close calls with grenades that should have gone off but didn’t or “seeing eye to eye with a low flying German pilot.” He does not speak of the horrors of war, the killings, the loss of limbs, and the utter destruction. His mission was to feed and nourish the soldiers.

While in Normandy, a young Frenchman named Louis Carmelich (Carmelex), Harold is not sure about the spelling of his last name, came by the kitchen quarters looking for something to eat.  Harold gave him a few slices of bread, field rations, and chocolate bars. Louis took them home to his parents and returned a couple of times. He came back one day with a piece of charcoal and paper and offered to draw Harold’s portrait. He drew a large number 7 and from it, soon the likeness of an American soldier emerged. It was young Harold. I am trying to imagine how Harold made it home to the States with Louis’ charcoal portrait rolled up in his backpack, but he did. The paper is slightly yellowed by the passage of time but the framed portrait hangs proudly in the Turners lovely home.

Seventy years ago and thousands of miles away from his home and family, Harold, a young lad out of high school, was on a mission to feed an entire battalion fighting the common enemy, Nazi Germany. He is an unsung hero who deserves his place in history for his selfless service to our country in defense of freedom. To Harold Turner and all servicemen and women from World War II, your sacrifice and bravery will not be forgotten!

It's A Great Day in America

“It’s a great day in America.” The atheist left is rejoicing that an NBA player is out of the closet and Tim Tebow, “the often-polarizing quarterback,” as the Washington Post describes him, (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/early-lead/wp/2013/04/29/tim-tebow-released-by-jets/)

is gone. Sport analysts and other NFL teams did not think he was good enough as a pro quarterback but he was a very popular player. His overt Christianity was offensive and annoying to the liberal PC police.

We are living in the “Great Diversion” era, one unresolved real or manufactured crisis after another and a disastrous economy, yet an NBA player’s sexual orientation, which should be nobody’s business, demands accolades and public speeches.

The word “courage,” which MSM uses loosely to describe such public disclosure, has lost its meaning entirely. Courage is fighting in battle when everyone else retreats, saving another human being from peril when the rest are cowards, and sacrificing heroically and bravely to the betterment of mankind.

No wonder people are turning away from the ugly and terrible reality to the “pane et circenses” (bread and circuses) reality TV, not just any reality TV, but Duck Dynasty.

Duck Dynasty is the most popular reality show on A&E, the formerly artsy elitist channel which must irritate and drive to distraction the New York opera crowd. Why do people watch and love Duck Dynasty? What is it that attracts people to the reality show and its Louisiana cast of beautiful real women and their bearded husbands who make duck calls for a living?

Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the clan, gave up his promising football career to make duck calls for hunters. The show ends each time with a prayer around the dinner table of extended family and friends. It is something America longs for, a return to family values and Christianity.

The Robertsons love and care for their family, believe in God and country, hunt, fish, and teach their grandchildren to carry, use, and handle guns responsibly. Through comedic situations, they emphasize the value of work and respect for elders. Most of them, with the exception of Willie, the CEO, live, dress, and eat simply in spite of their vast fortune.

The sage brother Jase and the Jack-of-all trades Vietnam War vet uncle Si delivers witty one-liners while sipping his ever present glass of iced tea, a southern tradition.

Miss Kay, the matriarch of the clan, is the sweet and doting mother, wife, mother-in-law, and grandma, who uses humor and southern wit to teach her teenage grandchildren how to handle dating and abstinence from sex. This must irritate liberals who encourage sex, out of wedlock pregnancies, co-habitation, and abortion.

Americans love the Robertsons because they long for a return to family tradition, respect, and interaction with meaningful, clean language, and dialog. The back to nature, outdoorsy life is appealing to many Americans who love the simple, witty ways of the Robertsons. The innocence of their daily lives is lost in our troubled country.

The clan is made up of ordinary Americans, who, in spite of their wealth, have not changed their family values, traditions, and faith, all deeply rooted in the American pioneer spirit and exceptionalism.

One episode pokes fun at fancy coffee shops patronized by liberals who drink strange and expensive concoctions of the caffeinated brew. Another makes fun of the southern love of donuts. Jase runs into trouble with the communistic Home Owners Association staffed by community volunteers who like to control other people’s lives. Jase had chickens in his yard and burned leaves on his property. He was told that he signed a contract in order to live in that neighborhood and thus had to abide by the rules the HOA saw fit.

Avid hunters, camouflage wearing, gun toting, blowing up beaver dams on their property, eating squirrels, frogs, and other critters, the Robertson men must have inflamed PETA and animal rights activists.

Duck Dynasty is a show about southern culture, about family, about values unaffected by wealth earned through entrepreneurship and hard work, a show about what liberals call “rednecks with money” who live normal lives. It is a show about American nostalgia for a time and innocence lost.

The Robertsons embody the myth of what America used to be, the America in which the family did not fight, did not use profanity, mom and dad did not divorce, people respected each other and their elders, traditional marriage was important in raising kids into healthy adults, and children did not move far away from their roots, values, and from mom and dad.

Severing ties from family and God has fundamentally changed our formerly cohesive society. The massive dependency on government welfare as the daddy of all out of wedlock newborns further eroded the American family. The Planned Parenthood abortion mill, the “social justice” indoctrination in school, the lack of morality, glamorizing the drug infested Hollywood lifestyle, and attacks on the Christian faith exacerbated the damage done to traditional marriage and family.

We should be celebrating the Robertsons and their lifestyle. It is what made America great. Their family values are shared by the core majority of our country. If we are to succeed, we have to return to those healthy principles and celebrate Tebow for his character.

Diversity and Multiculturalism, Failed Liberal Values

This country was not built on diversity and multiculturalism, the failed liberal ideology. We are certainly diverse enough and Americans come from many cultures. For generations every immigrant to this country learned English, American history, celebrated American traditions, and became a part of the fabric of our exceptional society while honoring traditions from their ethnic backgrounds and former countries they left behind.

Left wing ideology with the help of Marxist college professors, Hollywood, and the main stream media is determined to change that. We are suddenly an “evil empire” with a heavy burden of pass transgressions and Americans should be ashamed of their history, their Christian religion, wealth earned through hard work and entrepreneurial ethic, and of the myriad of accomplishments that have saved and improved the lives of billions on this planet.

The Constitution has become a “living, breathing document” that old men from long time ago wrote and is no longer applicable to our changing life where “social justice” and redistribution of wealth, stealing from producers and giving to takers, decisions made by Saul Alinsky type street organizers, are pressing goals at every level of society.  Our laws are now just mere suggestions for minions to follow, the elite in power decides what is good for our bodies and our lives even though it violates our Constitutional rights.

We are committing societal suicide through environmentalism gone berserk, demographics, degradation of education via communist indoctrination in schools, insane illegal immigration policies, abortion, out of control fiscal and monetary policies, unraveling of the family unit, degradation of the institution of marriage, and destruction of our Christian faith.

Liberal groups have pushed multiculturalism and diversity heavily in the last 30 years. We have legalized with little scrutiny people coming from third world nations based on their Islamic faith, refugee status, skin color, gender, ideology, sexuality, and economic background. We have given student visas at an accelerated pace, hoping that smart, college graduates would stay in the U.S. and contribute to society in a positive way.

President Bill Clinton instructed border guards to wave those on student visas through as expediently as possible. And the trees we planted are finally bearing fruit. Those who wish us harm have attacked, killed, and maimed American citizens because we have stopped enforcing the current immigration laws and border control crossing. The government even sued states who tried to do their job and enforce the border.

As Marinka Peschmann said in a recent article, “If the Gang of Eight’s so called immigration reform legislation becomes law, expect the number of illegal aliens that will be legalized in a broken, crime riddled agency, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), to explode.” http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/54653

The Government Accountability Office warning that USCIS does not operate using the “best practices, is an understatement. The recent Boston Marathon bomber left the country for six months for Chechnya, a hotbed of Muslim terrorists, yet it did not raise a flag because his name was misspelled on the flight manifesto. Mohammed Atta, the 19th hijacker of 9/11 got his green card in the mail at the college where he learned to fly a plane but not land it, six months after the bombing of the Twin Towers. There is a backlog of 4 million legal immigrants who are waiting patiently in their countries for resolution of their visas so that they can come to the U.S. legally. Jumping the border illegally and breaking the law is not an option.

Giving amnesty to 11 million illegal aliens as proposed by the Gang of Eight is a terrible idea because family members, stepchildren, gang members, those already deported twice (p. 614), and drunk drivers (2 offenses) would be allowed to apply. The gang members need only to “renounce” all association with the criminal street gang and they are welcome into U.S. The Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act (http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/54471) stated clearly this gang waiver on page 606. Habitual drunk drivers are inadmissible after three offenses.

Once the newly minted “Registered Provisional Immigrant” is secured in his/her legal residency, the chain migration will commence. I described the economic and societal implications of unchecked chain migration in my recent articles here
http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/54639 and here. http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/54471

The Associated Press described in an article about 19 employees following lawsuit how ICE agents were “disciplined” for doing their jobs. Kris Kobach said, “Their political superiors are ordering them to violate federal law.” (http://www.azcentral.com/news/politics/articles/2012/08/23/20120823ice-employees-file-lawsuit-stop-new-immigration-rule.html?nclick_check=1)

Marco Rubio told Rush Limbaugh in a recent interview that the status quo of immigration is unsustainable. He also said that immigration amnesty will come first and border enforcement later.

We tried amnesty for 3 million illegals in 1986 and it did not work so well, serious border enforcement was quickly forgotten, that is why we are at this point again, having to deal with 11 million more illegal aliens, drawn by the lure of economic prosperity, generous welfare system, and the possibility of Reconquista. After all, the “gringos” are not having enough children to replace the dying population.

It seems that, if the immigration laws on the books are not enforced properly and the inefficiency of government has created such a back-logged status quo, the new 844-page immigration bill would derive no benefit to the American people, it would just create a new, bloated bureaucracy, draining more taxpayer dollars into a bottomless sinkhole. Shouldn’t Americans have a say-so in who is admitted into their country? Why are Americans from various groups not allowed to testify before this amnesty bill is hurried on through?

The truth is, the eight senators who sponsored this bill are making it easier for asylum seekers/law breakers like the Boston Marathon bombers to come to the U.S. (http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/54701)

Jim Carafano, Heritage Foundation fellow, wrote on the Foundry, “Good immigration and border security policies play an important, but supporting role. Generally, the rule is, if you have good policies that facilitate legal immigration and travel while providing for public safety and security – they will serve well to help thwart terrorist travel.” http://blog.heritage.org/2013/04/20/the-boston-bombings-and-immigration/?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=Morning%2BBell

The web of groups that lobby on behalf of illegal immigrants is quite extensive. I wrote last year in my book, “Liberty on Life Support,” (http://www.amazon.com/Liberty-on-Life-Support-ebook/dp/B008CL3G3M)  about such a group, Casa de Maryland. Casa de Maryland board alumni include Cecilia Munoz, White House director of intergovernmental affairs, and Thomas Perez, assistant attorney for civil rights and recent nominee for the Labor Secretary post.

Maryland is usually the first state in the nation that passes anti-American, pro-Agenda 21, pro-illegal immigration laws in the nation. It passed the Dream Act, in-state tuition for illegal immigrants’, college bound children. It may seem insignificant since only a few hundred illegal aliens would benefit from the law, however, Gustavo Torres, Executive Director of Casa de Maryland wants to take the Dream Act fight nationally because deporting 400,000 illegals annually is an insufferable number of potential union dues-paying workers and Democrat voters.

Casa de Maryland is located in a mansion purchased for $1 from Gregg Clickstein, and has a budget of $6 million. Republican State Delegate Pat McDonough objects to the local, state, and federal money funding the house itself, to the legal and other services provided to 20,000 illegal immigrants annually. “Gustavo has created a sanctuary state… The Governor does his bidding, the politicians who control power in the State of Maryland do his bidding…And his success has caused financial and personal heartbreak for the State of Maryland. They are a globally significant organization.”

Gregg Clickstein naively and unintentionally describes what is wrong with the illegal immigration lobby. “This nation of immigrants… and this new wave of immigrants, and having the opportunity to assimilate and be great Americans. It just really touched me.”

The statement sounds idealistic and noble, however, most illegal immigrants have no intention of assimilating, of becoming great Americans. They isolate themselves in Spanish speaking enclaves or Arabic speaking mosques, bringing their native countries culture of poverty, corruption, and religious oppression with them.

Illegal immigrants believe in bigger government and welfare as a source of wellbeing and success. They become new loyal Democrat voters who could ultimately shift the balance of power in our country to Democrats, without any checks and balances. http://www.politico.com/story/2013/04/immigration-reform-could-upend-electoral-college-90478.html?fb_action_ids=597757090234936&fb_action_types=og.likes&fb_ref=.UXcVKkPk9Xw.send&fb_source=aggregation&fb_aggregation_id=288381481237582

We are a nation of immigrants but we followed patiently the law of the land, learned English, and assimilated into America.

The Boston Marathon Bombing and Amnesty for Illegal Aliens

The Boston Marathon bombing was a glaring and painful lesson in the premise of the much touted gun-control legislation, which was thankfully defeated this week in the Senate. Liberals and the administration were angry that their own brethren, the Democrats, could not gather enough votes to pass the anti-gun legislation that only 4 percent of Americans supported. This legislation would have denied 2nd Amendment rights to 96 percent of Americans who wished to defend themselves against home invasions.

An entire town was in lock down, held hostage to the idiotic creed that somehow, leaving everybody vulnerable, without guns to defend themselves, shaking in fear behind closed doors, while one 19 year old criminal was on the loose, would make everybody safer and prevent harm to one’s family. I wondered how many citizens wished they had the non-existent “assault weapon” or any weapon to protect their loved ones.

On the other hand, how was it possible that a goofy-looking 19 year old required a massive man-hunt comprised of an entire SWAT team, police, and National Guard, armed with semi and fully automatic rifles, similar to semi-automatic AR-15 that liberals said that law-abiding Americans should not own?

Astonishingly, 46 Democrat and Independent Senators voted this week to give away Americans’ Constitutional rights to a foreign power, the United Nations. The U.N. Small Arms Treaty which had been promoted by the current administration would have placed a global ban on the importation and exportation of small firearms. All private gun owners in the U.S. would have been affected, requiring an international gun registry on all private guns and ammunition. Would criminals have abided by the treaty? I don’t think so. The narrow vote of 53-46 prevented the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty - for now.

The two Chechen brothers, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the alleged bombers in Boston, stole a car with a “COEXIST” bumper sticker. Liberals love to display this sticker on their Priuses and Smart Cars in order to show their tolerance towards other cultures and religions that are usually not so tolerant or peaceful. Ironically, the elder brother was taken to a Jewish hospital in an attempt to save his life.

Both brothers, devout Islamists, were not so tolerant after all and did not wish to “COEXIST” in peace. They thanked the Bostonians that took them in, gave them food and shelter, free education, scholarships, mentorship, a mosque to pray in, legal residence, and even citizenship, by killing and maiming Americans in cold blood on the day celebrating life, American history, and marathon tradition in Boston, on Patriot’s Day.

According to Glen Howard, president of the Jamestown foundation, there are less than 200 Chechen immigrants in the U.S., mostly in the Boston area. Seventy percent of the immigrants are women. The Treasury Department lists the Islamic International Brigade, the Special Purpose Islamic Regiment, and the Riyadus-Salikhin Battalion as radical groups on a terrorist list. These groups were implicated in the Moscow theater hostage bombing that killed 129 people and the 2004 Beslan school massacre in which 320 children were killed.

The Tsernaev family emigrated to the U.S. as refugees after the outbreak of the 1999 Russia-Chechnya war. There were four brothers, mom, and an assorted number of relatives. The alleged bombers attended the Boston Latin School which prides itself as being the oldest school in the U.S., founded in 1635, “serving an economically and culturally diverse population,” with students representing 83 nations. The liberal ideology of diversity did not seem to work out so well with certain groups of immigrants.

Because they claimed refugee status, the Chechens, who are Sunni Muslims, were admitted into the U.S. when Dzhokhar was six years old. Educated in the diversity of Boston, where being American is feeling guilty for perceived past transgressions and wrongdoings of the “evil empire” against the rest of the world, Dzhokhar became an American citizen last year.

Tamerlan was absent from the U.S. for six months yet that did not raise suspicions. Ordinary, law-abiding permanent legal residents who leave the country for more than 30 days are flagged by Immigration and must be moved to the back of the line if they petition to become citizens.

It would seem that U.S. citizens should decide who immigrates to the U.S. What was the benefit of these radicalized Muslims to U.S. citizens? How has unchecked immigration benefitted Americans in the past? It encouraged chain migration of low skilled workers who brought their extended families and later became a financial burden to the U.S. taxpayers to the tune of billions of dollar each year.

Why do liberals insist on bringing refugees from third world nations for the sake of diversity? We are quite diverse and inclusive as a nation as long as people are willing to become part of us, to grow together. Why bring people in who hate America, its culture, its Christian foundation, religion, and its language? Why do educators teach anti-Americanism? What purpose does it serve to politicize tragic events and point leftist fingers at “right wingers” just because ideologies collide? When tragedy strikes, we are all Americans, regardless of skin color, religion, or ideology.

We are a nation of laws yet 11 million illegal aliens, mostly Latinos, who broke our laws and crossed the border illegally, demand to be recognized and rewarded with a path to citizenship while four million foreign nationals with visas are waiting patiently in other countries to come to America lawfully.  How many potential terrorists are hiding among these 11 million illegal aliens?

The Gang of Eight senators promises that the border will be secured after these 11 million illegals come out of the shadows. Who stands to gain from this massive immigration bill? Big business, big labor unions, and representatives of “unauthorized immigrants” (the new euphemism which replaced “undocumented Americans”) such as La Raza (the Race) will benefit from “legislated amnesty.” Only four percent of Americans who were polled think that amnesty is a good idea. Ninety six percent of Americans oppose amnesty in any form.

It is not just the fact that illegals do not want to be assimilated and live in their own self-appointed enclaves, trying to transform America into the repressive country they’ve escaped from.

According to Robert Rector of the Heritage Foundation, amnesty would cost taxpayers more than $2.5 trillion and is currently working to revise the number upwards. Millions of illegal immigrants would qualify for federal benefits (welfare, Social Security, earned income credit, etc.), college grants, and would receive healthcare through Obamacare exchanges since they are not excluded from the Affordable Care Act.

Sen. Rubio said that amnesty would be granted without government benefits but that is just wishful thinking. As soon as illegal aliens get legal status, they will be transitioned to citizenship, to federal benefits, and, most importantly, to voting.

Millions of new Democrat voters will change the political landscape forever. Latinos may be conservative with their religious values but they believe that the source of financial success and prosperity is big government and that will never change.

When Ronald Reagan amnestied 3 million illegals in 1986 with the Congressional promise that the border will be enforced, the security never happened. The amnesty caused more illegal immigration which brought us to the 11 million illegals today. Only 37 percent of those amnestied in 1986 voted Republican. Furthermore, this 1986 amnesty caused Republicans to lose California to the Democrats.

Social Security, Medicare, food stamps, and entitlement programs represent trillions of dollars in unfunded liabilities to taxpayers. Adding more recipients to the welfare rolls and retirement benefits rolls will increase the already out of control national debt. Most illegal aliens have a tenth grade education or lower, collecting more in benefits than they pay in taxes. The broken immigration system should be fixed first before giving illegals citizenship and federal benefits. (Heritage Foundation, Jim DeMint)

The inability and willingness to control the flow of potential terrorists among the illegal aliens is just the tip of the iceberg. We cannot afford trillions of dollars in extra government spending. We cannot afford millions of illegal aliens in front of the employment line when 20 million Americans who want to work cannot find a job. We cannot afford to sponsor an endless chain of relatives most of whom have no means of financial support or education to earn a living.

We cannot afford $900,000 to fund White House tours for our American children but the Immigration bill wants to spend $50 million to help illegal immigrants file for the “registered provisional immigration status.” Would it not be cheaper if we enforce the current immigration laws and deport the illegals back to their respective countries while stopping the “anchor baby” automatic citizenship which was meant for the children of slaves not illegal immigration?

Comprehensive Immigration Reform to Include the Right to Work in Mexico?

The long awaited comprehensive immigration reform, said to be 1,500 pages long, will be unveiled on April 16, according to AP. On April 17, Vermont Democrat Sen. Patrick Leahy
will hold hearings with one witness, Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano. http://dailycaller.com/2013/04/12/immigration-bill-to-be-released-day-before-hearing/

Sen. Robert Menendez confirmed that Sen. Marco Rubio had an instrumental role in the effort of four Republican and four Democrat senators nicknamed the “Gang of Eight.” The bill includes a pathway to citizenship (amnesty) for 11 million illegal aliens, which the MSM calls “undocumented immigrants living in the U.S.”

Apparently the cut-off date, April 15, was intended to allow only illegals who “already assimilated into communities to stay.” Illegals who were caught crossing the border from Mexico must not have gotten the memo because, as they were arrested in Texas, one said in Spanish, “Obama’s gonna let me go.” Border Patrol agents report that illegals crossing the border have surrendered while asking, “Where do I go for my amnesty?”
http://radio.woai.com/articles/woai-local-news-119078/obama-will-let-me-out-11180453/#ixzz2QORwFaBf

The Senate Judiciary Committee will have hours to read and review such a huge legislation. Americans would like the hearing to be shut down until the legislation can be read, understood, and debated. Immigration, police, wage and labor experts should be allowed to testify on the impact of the bill on the U.S. labor force and the labor market. We cannot afford to have a repeat of the unfortunately named the Affordable Care Act that nobody can afford when we had to “pass the bill in order to find out what’s in it.” The fact that illegals will be first legalized then the border will be secured is troublesome to many Americans. The 1986 amnesty under President Reagan promised such border security that never came.

The American Border Control, the formerly U.S. Seaport Commission, a project of the U.S. Public Policy Council is demanding that United States citizens have the right to take jobs in Mexico under Sen. Rubio’s comprehensive immigration reform. www.AmericanBorderControl.org

Mexico’s General Law of Population of 1947 which was revised in 1974, “promotes an
immigrant population that demonstrates good mental and physical health, economic
solvency, poses no threat to Mexican labor, and shows a desire to assimilate.” (p. 5)
http://www.wilsoncenter.org/sites/default/files/GONZALEZ%20%2526%20KOSLOWSKI.pdfp.

Foreigners, immigrant and non-immigrant, must register with the National Registry of Foreigners (Registro Nacional de Extranjeros) and report any change in their status and residence. “No Mexican company or individual may lawfully hire a foreigner unless the foreigner proves that his or her stay in the country is lawful and that he or she has authorization to work. Under equal circumstances, Mexicans will have employment preference over foreigners.” (p. 6)
http://www.wilsoncenter.org/sites/default/files/GONZALEZ%20%2526%20KOSLOWSKI.pdfp.

The fact that illegal immigrants in general do not wish to assimilate or learn English, will change the tapestry of our country. Eleven million newly amnestied residents and potential Democrat voters will alter our country irreversibly, creating a new power structure, with a single party and no separation of powers. The financial liability will be enormous.

We can accept illegals but they are not accepting us, our culture, our language, they are not coming here to help our culture grow, they behave as entitled occupiers. Illegals swell the numbers of the prison population around the country. Gang violence, drug cartel violence and murder are rampant around the southern border.

Illegal aliens are not “undocumented workers,” they have broken the law by crossing our borders without a passport and a visa. We must enforce the rule of law. Without the rule of law, whether the law is broken by ordinary citizens or by those in power, we are a lawless country and our civilization will turn into chaos.

The Washington Times reported on May 3, 2010 that illegal immigration is a felony in Mexico, with a punishment of up to two years in prison. If an immigrant is deported and is caught re-entering Mexico, the punishment is 10 years in jail. Those who violate visas by over-staying, are sentenced to six years in prison. Any Mexican aiding or abetting an illegal immigrant is a criminal. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/may/3/mexicos-illegals-laws-tougher-than-arizonas/?page=all

Foreigners can also be deported for discretionary reasons such as “economic or national interests,” those who violate Mexican law, those who are not “physically or mentally healthy,” or those who do not have the financial resources and income to care for themselves and their dependents.

USA Today reported on May 25, 2010 that “Mexico has a law that is no different from Arizona’s that empowers local police to check the immigration documents of people suspected of not being in the country legally.” http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/world/2010-05-25-mexico-migrants_N.htm

American Border Control’s Executive Director Jonathon Moseley explained, “The error of amnesty is the myth that Mexicans are in financial trouble. Yet Mexico’s December unemployment rate at 4.47% is lower than the U.S. unemployment rate that was 8% for years.”

Moseley commented that “we are gullible suckers.” While a record 89 million people are either unemployed, underemployed, or out of the labor force, and the Black population experiences 14.1 percent unemployment in the U.S., Mexico’s unemployment rate averaged 3.68 percent from 1994-2012. http://www.tradingeconomics.com/mexico/unemployment-rate

“Adjusting for purchasing power – converting dollars into pesos – the average salary in Mexico is $49,574 per year. According to the IMF, $1 USD converted into pesos will buy the equivalent of $8.07 within Mexican society. So the nominal average Mexican salary of $6,143 per year in pesos actually can purchase as much in goods and services in Mexico as a $49,574 per year salary in the U.S. economy.” (Jonathon Moseley)

While the U.S. economy is stagnant and anemic, Mexico’s economy grew by 5.4 percent in 2010 and 3.85 percent in 2011. (CIA’s World Fact Book)

American Border Control is “demanding that any compromise include a right for unemployed U.S. citizens to find jobs in Mexico after losing their jobs in the United States as a result of Sen. Marco Rubio’s policies.” Executive Director Jonathon Moseley concluded that “Those who showed contempt for our country by violating our laws and crashing the gate should not be also stealing jobs from U.S. citizens.” www.AmericanBordersControl.org

International Baccalaureate World Schools

Liberal education has been very successful in this country because nobody challenged the progressive educators and their agenda. We are waking up to the unraveling of our society caused by this liberal education and wondering, what happened. Could it be too late to reverse the damage?

Conservative news outlets are pointing out the obvious – our children have been indoctrinated into socialism for 33-40 years and this indoctrination is finally bearing fruit. We have bred a nation of young, entitled citizens who do not like to work, do not like to read or study anything too involved or complicated that exceeds Twitter’s 140 words, do not take responsibility for their actions, exhibit righteous indignation if their demands are not met, claim racism and hate speech if others disagree with them, and are afraid of their shadows.

Students no longer explore and discuss the history of America even in the History Department of the local college – it has long been replaced by courses that praise and promote sexual, “racial and ethnic differences,” instead of highlighting our common American heritage, what made America great and an exceptional nation that has contributed to the betterment of mankind. Socialist professors admire, teach, and laud the history of non-western cultures as superior to our own culture.

As the Blaze reported, Thomas Klingenstein commissioned a report on Bowdoin’s (a liberal arts college) academic and non-academic curriculum. The National Association of Scholars produced 355 pages of information describing in great detail what the college was teaching. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/04/08/the-stunning-355-page-mega-report-that-reveals-the-radical-curriculum-at-one-american-college-and-how-a-golf-game-gone-awry-led-to-it-all/

Short on critical thinking skills, the college, instead of concentrating on scientists, men of letters, philosophers and orators who contributed to western thought and civilization, chose courses such as Queer Gardens, Beyond Pocahontas: Native American Stereotypes, Sexual Life of Colonialism, and Modern Western Prostitutes.

Driving by the local high school, Gar-Field, I noticed on the huge electronic board, IB World School. Having studied U.N. Agenda 21 extensively, my spirits sank. An international baccalaureate world school is another arm of U.N. Agenda 21 indoctrination of our children into “global citizenship, social justice, intercultural understanding and respect,” submission to one-world socialist government, using American taxpayer dollars. Most parents have no idea what IB is. IB programs are devoted to the “radical transformation of America’s classrooms.”

An IB World School is a private or public school that has agreed to offer the IB (International Baccalaureate) program run and coordinated by IBO, a non-profit socialist Swiss Foundation in Geneva, Switzerland, in partnership with UNESCO of the United Nations. As a parent, in order to discover what the secret curriculum is, one has to be an approved IB teacher, with a password that accesses the curriculum. This sounds very similar to the CSCOPE curriculum in Texas which is kept quite unavailable to prying eyes and ears.

Justin  Blough describes the IB program at the school he attended – no more learning about U.S. President, good values, no American history, patriotic songs, and plays. Teachers have to wear the light blue colors of the United Nations. Students are indoctrinated into becoming “citizens of the world” instead of citizens of the country they were born in, preoccupied with “moral, ethical, social, economic, and environmental implications of global production and consumption.”

The Rescue Mission Planet Earth is promoted by the IB program as the student’s version of UN Agenda 21. The first director of UNESCO, Julian Huxley, stated that UNESCO “is to help the emergence of a single world culture, with its own philosophy and background of ideas, and with its own broad purposes.” Agenda 21 goals were advanced around the world with the help of ICLEI (International Council on Local Environmental Initiatives) while IB World Schools are advanced with the help of the IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization) in Switzerland.

According to Debra K. Niwa, IB programs are very costly to schools if  the number of diplomas awarded (10 on the average) are considered, and the numerous fees and costs for teaching and non-teaching positions, student and subject fees, assessment fees, evaluation visit fees, and expenses incurred in traveling out-of-state and out-of-the-country for training purposes, are taken into account. The average training cost per staff is $8,000. These are taxpayer money that cannot be spent on regular education, books, athletics, and other regular school activities. We should teach American values, reading, writing, science, and mathematics.
http://watchdogwire.com/florida/2013/02/26/florida-has-the-most-schools-offering-the-international-baccalaureate-but-is-it-worth-it/

There are three levels of IB program: the pre-university two year diploma (DP), the middle years program (MYP), and the primary years program (PYP). When the IB World School program is adopted in a local school, the taxpayers have no idea because they are not asked for approval. The public does not know that these IB schools cost millions of dollars. The Swiss IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization) is making huge profits at American taxpayer expense while it pays no taxes. The non-profit IBO is operating in 48 states, including D.C., and plans to have 10,000 schools and 2.5 million students by 2020. There are over 2,000 IB World Schools in the U.S. and 74 in Virginia. http://www.channelingreality.com/Niwa/IB_unraveled_040610.htm

Where does the funding come from for the IB World Schools? After grants expire, the annual cost is paid by state and local taxpayers. Frequently, local and state taxes must be raised in order to cover the cost.

If a public school applies and qualifies for an IB World School, Title I funds for low income populations are tapped and other federal grants such as:

        - The Magnet Schools Assistance Program

            - AP Test Fee Program

            -  GEAR UP

            - Advanced Placement Incentive Program

            - Smaller Learning Communities Program

            - Academic Competitiveness Grants

According to Debra K. Niwa, IB’s “education purpose, content, and teaching methods, when the veneer about ‘rigor,’ ‘international mindedness’ and ‘quality education for a better world’ is removed, the program represents non-academic goals that support United Nations’ Agenda 21 sustainable development.”

Since 1970, IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization) has been an official NGO (non-governmental organization) of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

The founder of IB, Therese Maurette, describes her educational philosophy that runs against our Founding Fathers’ ideas of what American education should be. Maurette believes bilingualism to be imperative because “It is important psychologically to be willing to subordinate one’s national superiority by speaking to the other person, however imperfectly, in their mother tongue.”  The concept of “nationality” must be minimized in order to encourage students to develop a picture of the whole world. “History should not be taught until well into adolescence because, for the younger student, it inevitably consists of a series of stories and myths glorifying violence and misrepresenting events by giving them a nationalistic bias.” http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2012/05/24/school-stops-teaching-basic-facts-goes-internationalist/

To shape students into pawns of international change, IB programs use “pedagogical methods that are intended to affect the fundamental transformation of America’s classrooms.” Schools that adopt the IB program must also adopt the international moral and ethical values. Whose values are these? They are the diverse values of different cultures as contained in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted and proclaimed by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 1948. They are not our American values, they are values that encourage social change in which “the rights of individuals are linked to those of the collectives:

• Awareness of human rights combined with a sense of social responsibilities;

• Value of social equity and democratic participation;

• Understanding and tolerance of cultural differences and pluralism;

• A caring, co-operative and enterprising spirit;

• Creativity;

• Sensitivity to gender equality;

• Open-mindedness to change;

• Obligation to environment protection and sustainable development.

These “Desirable universal values” of United Nations education have made their way in the main stream American education, they were found in a list given to educators in North Carolina at an in-service workshop: (source Debra K. Niwa)

-         There is no right or wrong, only conditioned responses.

-         The collective good is more important than the individual.

-         Consensus is more important than principle.

-         Flexibility is more important than accomplishment.

-         Nothing is permanent except change.

-         All ethics are situational; there are no moral absolutes.

-         There are no perpetrators, only victims. (author Beverly Eakman, 2002)

Niwa quotes Alexandre Cretzianu’s 1956 book, “Captive Rumania – a Decade of Soviet Rule,” in which he explains that the western values of “liberty, democracy, law, right, security” are just lip service because under a communist dictatorship, “laws set forth obligations for the citizen,” but there are no restraints on the actions of the state.

Harold G. Shane wrote in 1976 in the Phi Delta Kappan, As young people mature we must help them developa service ethic which is geared toward the real world…the global servant concept in which we will educate our young for planetary service and eventually for some form of world citizenship … implicit within the ‘global servant’ concept are the moral insights” . . . that will help us live with the regulated freedom we must eventually impose upon ourselves.” (Debra K. Niwa, July 2009)

“Young people need to feel first of all global citizens, second national citizens and third local citizens. Among my generation, it is the other way round. Change will be difficult, but schools are already thinking about curriculum changes.” (“IB is showing the way,” IB World, May 2008)

Volunteering is not left up to churches and individuals who are charitable by nature, the IB program “requires community, action, service.” National service and compulsory community service are required under collectivism and authoritarianism. I know because we used to be forced into monthly “volunteerism” under communist party dictatorship: plant flowers, trees, shrubs, pick up garbage, mow grass, plant the crops, and harvest the crops in the fall. We had no choice and we were not paid for our hard work, fed or given water. We were taken out of school as slaves to the collective.

In a world culture of peace, “dialectical thinking” is a required component of IB. Debra K. Niwa wrote, “Dialectical thinking is reminiscent of what George Orwell described in his novel 1984: Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously; and accepting both of them.”

Social Justice is a core part of the International Baccalaureate (IB). UN Agenda 21 Sustainable Development is re-engineering human life by using social equity/social justice, a new economic system called public-private partnerships, and environmental justice by “devaluing man to the level of animals and plants.” (Michael Shaw)

Shaw continues, “The modern war on liberty fosters confusion in our schools regarding the nature of what is a moral government. It uses divide and conquer tactics by separating people into groups under the principle of social justice. It creates dependency via an emerging global corporate socialism based on public-private partnerships.”

American schools use multiculturalism, diversity, ethnic studies, and intercultural proficiency/competency to promote social justice. Social justice is taught under the rubric of critical pedagogy. Critical pedagogy is the political arm of liberation theology and cultural Marxism/political correctness. The ultimate goal is to bring about social transformation at the collective level through indoctrination of our students. (Bill Ayers, Dec. 15, 2009)

One blogger, mdefarge, described the goals of the IB World Schools quite succinctly. “…what ICLEI is to the environment (better stated, "in the name of" the environment), IB is to education - elitist global dogma executed at the local level through schools: American education brought to you by the New World Order. Talk about a propaganda coup!” http://www.dailypaul.com/237926/international-baccalaureate-new-world-order-and-american-education
Cathy Tyler gave a few examples of “what IB educated children say (From Why International Baccalaureate IB is Un-A by Samuel Adams 1722 (YouTube):

It is time for parents to wake up and start questioning the IB World Schools in their communities. The IBO association with UNESCO is a clear indication that their goals are anti-American and clash with our Constitution.

IB World Schools indoctrinate our children into a collectivist mindset, the hallmark of a socialist economy and a government ruled by the Communist Party, under the guise of environmental and social justice. We should not allow IB to downplay our nationality and make American students feel ashamed of our history. There is no shame in being an exceptional nation, there is pride and accomplishment that benefitted the entire globe and still does.
IB World Schools endorse the UN Earth Charter which contradicts our Constitution as well. Earth Charter promotes redistribution of wealth, same sex marriage, pantheism, and military disarmament. These are not the values American children should learn in our nation founded on Judeo-Christian values, personal responsibility, a strong work ethic, and equal opportunity to succeed, not equal outcomes.
